Aperol Spritz
Brianne C.

We stopped by in the late afternoon for some tapas and so I could have an Aperol Spritz. We sat outside under an awning at a comfortable table. Waitstaff were attentive and pleasant. I really enjoyed my spritz! And the Coke was well chilled for my mom. We shared a few tapas, and liked all of them. Would recommend for a quick tapas bite or drink. Or staying awhile.

Had a good experience here; trendy place with good food and awesome Sangria. We were staying across the street. Live music in outside terrace.

Food and ambiance were on par with the best! I sampled all my favorites and had so much fun I forgot to finish taking photos!

Iberico Ham and Tomato rubbed bread.
Kimberly H.

Our first night in Barcelona and across the street from our hotel is this amazing restaurant. It was beautiful, bright and open. Great decor, super busy with a fun vibe! We ordered the Ibérico Ham and Tomato rubbed bread twice in the same sitting It was so good it was hard not too! Also the tempura Asparagus. Great service trying desperately not to go back since we were only here for four days and want to try as many places as possible but based on its proximity to our hotel I am sure I am going back before we leave We are in day 2 and have dined at a few amazing restaurants but this one is a serious do not miss for sure!

Opens till 00:30am. Close to Le Meridien @ La Rambla. Spaghetti w prawns, sea bass with veg- tasty, tapas - mussels were very clean, yummy with milky sauce, tuna tataki was delicious with avocado. Vanilla ice cream dessert-double scoop. Bill almost 70€. Very Good selection of liquor. High ceilings, attentive service, quick service of dishes. Very spacious with background music, outdoor seating for smokers. Would come again next trip.

We had the duck tacos and fried artichokes. It was down the street from our hotel (Le Meridien) so the location was great and the food was super tasty. We will be back!

Roasted Chicken

The food look delicious and when I ate a piece of the chicken it was even better then I thought. The restaurant was great, the decorations and style of the restaurant were modern. The service was quick and efficient! I totally recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to be satisfied.

Garlic Prawns

I'm not sure if it's because this is my first meal back in Barcelona after coming from South of Spain where the food seemed so much cheaper, but everything seemed expensive for what you get. First thing we got were the garlic prawns. For 16.5 euros, I was expecting a bit more prawns. Taste was ok, I don't think it's worth the price. We then got the soup of the day pumpkin soup: it was your average pumpkin soup Steamed mussels: I would say Bar Lobo is only worth going for this dish! They give you a good amount of mussels that comes with a nice creamy sauce all for 11 euros. Andalusian-style calamari: for 15 euros I don't think it's worth it. It's good, but you don't get much for what you pay for. TDLR: I would only come back for the steamed mussels.

We came here on holiday and it was difficult finding something my family wanted because they are a bit picky- this was the best in the area of Las Ramblas. The food was delicious, I will say definitley get the patatas bravas and croquettas as appetizers. The only thing that sucked was two things; the service we had was not so great. The server kept getting distracted by a girl who cane to visit him and was not very attentive. My dad's burger also came out very late and I am one to wait for everyone to have their food; I usually dont get upset about it but we asked where it was and the server said ; "Oh he threw the ticket away let me make him make it again" like what? Ambiance is good though, nothing too crazy.

Tempura Asparagus

Having just arrived at our hotel, the Le Méridien and it was too late for lunch, but too early for dinner, we asked the concierge where to grab good food and she suggested Bar Lobo. This tapas place is right across the street from the hotel, so it's a simple and quick walk. We got there around 5PM and they were packed, but a table had just cleared when we walked in, so we got seated immediately. The staff took a while to come to the table, but once they did, we got excellent and very prompt attention the rest of our dining experience. We started with their Iberico Ham which comes with tomato bread and it was excellent! Best ham I've ever had! Next was there garlic prawns and they were so tasty, especially if you grab a piece of garlic and a pepper - yum! The potatoes bravas we bland and boring, but with hot sauce they tasted decent. Their tempura asparagus was also on the bland side, as the romesco sauce wasn't very well seasoned. They do have some nice wines to choose from and everything came out lightening fast. The service was absolutely excellent! Highly recommend coming here!

The food was delicious. Service was friendly and I truly enjoyed dining outside while people watching. I tried the calamari for tapas and the tomato rubbed pan. Both delish. My seabass was wonderful & perfectly cooked. The vegetables were cooked in a white wine sauce. It is located right around the corner from the Le Meridien right off La Ramblas. Price was fair. Service was good. I enjoyed this place.

Fried artichokes, tuna tataki with guacamole, homemade croquettes, Andalusian-style calamari
Carrie M.

Bar Lobo is a tapas bar located right off of La Rambla and is very close to La Boquería. Four of us shared six tapas. The vibes of both the indoor and outdoor seating were nice. Here is what we got: Fried artichokes: I was expecting something more like sautéed artichokes. This tasted like something fried, but I couldn't even taste the artichoke. It was good, but I was hoping for vegetables. Tuna tataki with guacamole: delicious, the guac especially Patatas bravas: average, a classic Spanish dish Homemade croquettes: average Andalusian-style calamari: very tasty Padrón green peppers: not spicy. In fact, quite flavourless. Total bill for four: 60€

Atlas turned into a light fixture. Very cool.

After our first day touring Barcelona, and walking many miles, we were looking for a dinner spot that was convenient yet authentic Spanish. We found it here! We started with tomato rubbed bread which was absolutely delicious. I had cod gratin over white beans and it was not too heavy yet very tasty. My husband loved his chicken fajita. The music was upbeat, the service was friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend.

Oh my goodness this is so good. If I ever go to Barcelona again I would come here…read more Must get: Steak with foie gras on bread 8/10: sooo decadent and luxurious. It's abt 8 euros a piece. Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! Comfortable ambiance great for date night or casual meals!!!

This is the first restaurant I stopped at for some tapas during my trip to Barcelona and it spoiled…read moreme. I ordered a few things so let me talk about each one. Ham & Chicken Croquette: This was too good for how small it was. Just a nice potato croquette filled with some great quality ham and chicken. It was akin to a cordon bleu. White Asparagus with Baby Beans and Ham: This one floored me. Tender white asparagus in a vinegar based sauce with some tender ham and beans. I could have had two orders of this. Pulpo (Octopus) with Pork Belly: Not the best Pulpo of the trip but it sure set the standard. The octopus was unbelievably tender and you can just taste how fresh it is. The pork belly slice almost felt like an odd choice here to be honest. I didn't really know how to eat it with the pulpo since it overpowered it. The pork belly itself wasn't very impressive either so I kinda brushed it off at the end. It was a bit dry at some parts and just kept throwing me off. Gambas roja a la plancha: Prawns are EVERYWHERE here and they know how to cook them. These were tasty but not the freshest or most flavorful I had this trip either. Always eat the shell! Scallops a la plancha in a leek-apple based sauce with bits of crisped ham: This dish on its own makes this place a 5. The sauce is DIVINE. It's a little sweet and creamy to contrast the savory, perfectly cooked scallops swimming in it. The crunchy bits of ham give you a nice texture surprise with some much needed salt to balance it all out. These scallops practically melted in my mouth with each bite. This is a must try. Beef filet and foie gras montadito: Basically steak and foie gras on a toasty slice of bread. Honestly? This was the weakest dish here. The steak itself was just okay and I didn't really like the foie gras. It was like a very gamey butter. I'm sure it has its applications but it just felt like too much going on here. I'd pass on it. Chocolate in 3 textures: So for dessert I wanted chocolate so I went for the choco bomb. It was okay. I guess the three textures were the ganache, mousse, and wafers? It just reminded me of an elevated chocolate wafer bar like one from Loaker. I'd also pass on this dessert. My server was lovely and the atmosphere here is vibrant. Though there were few misses I would absolutely eat here again and get the things I loved but switch up the rest. That's part of the fun in tapas anyway.

Some meals stay with you forever, and this was one of them…read more The food here was, without question, some of the best I've ever had. The foie gras was absolutely unforgettable--rich, delicate, and simply to die for. The sangria was equally exceptional, fresh, balanced, and dangerously delicious. But what makes this place truly special is something that can't be captured on a menu. The atmosphere, the warmth, the way time seems to slow down... words simply can't do it justice. If you're visiting Barcelona, don't just come here for dinner. Come here to fall in love with the food, the city, the moment, or maybe even someone sitting across the table. An experience I'll never forget.

Well, the restaurant was cute and cozy with a great ambiance. With luck on our side, we found two seats at the bar and quickly ordered drinks. We ordered a pitcher of the sangria (because why not?). The sangria was delicious, refreshing, and made to order. It was definitely more authentic than what we're getting in America. We ordered the patatas bravas, tempura asparagus, the octopus, and the steak. It all came out as it became available. We couldn't decide what our favorite was, to be honest. We ordered an ice cream sandwich for dessert and quickly requested our bill. We didn't want to hold the staff up as we noticed they were cleaning the establishment and people were finishing up. Overall, what a great experience for our first meal in Barcelona! Cute and hidden gem.

Alas it was pretty average but you do have a variety of options and it came with wine which was a nice bonus. Started with some fideuá but found this paella noodle dish a little one note.
