Across the street from Bar Phoenix is the renowned Civic Theatre.

A bar that actually serves good food and the service that supersedes even fine dining establishments in the area. Kaylee took amazing care in true hospitality. The owner was even there- fully hands on deck. God bless this place and the people that operate in it. Akron needed this! And all right across from the most beautiful music hall northeast Ohio has to offer- The Civic theater. I only have a picture of the Civic, but the pizza and wings we ate were incredible and actually the pizza tasted like my father's pizza shop he ran when I wad a child, such good memories! Support good companies and go out late! They will keep you well served and add actual value back to your bar and dining scene.

Rude. Ruining concerts at lock 3 by blasting their dj music for their 5 customers. Service is always slow too.

Perfect cocktails, perfect pizza. We stopped out on a Thursday night looking for a bite to eat and…read morea drink or two. Was fun figuring out how to get inside. It's a small place and we thought we'd have to wait but luckily a couple were leaving so we got seats at the bar. It would have been worth the wait. We picked a couple drinks off the menu and they were incredibly beautiful and tasted divine. The pizza we ordered had anchovies and pepperoni and I swear it's the best wood fired pizza I've ever had. I wanted another drink and asked the bartender to make me a rum drink of their choice. Within minutes some amazing concoction, it was smoking inside a glass dome of some sort. The garnish was a flamed cinnamon stick and orange rind that looked like a sword. It was incredible. The vibe is nice and patrons are friendly. It's not loud, so you can carry on a conversation, and the music was nice. There is a cute little back room with tables too for groups of 2-4 people. Parking is plentiful on the street and nearby parking lots. Within walking distance of other bars and restaurants. Up and coming area. I can't recommend the Oak & Olive enough and I can't wait to go back.

There's a secret entrance since it's a speakeasy, which is fun. Someone is always there to help guide you if you can't figure it out, haha. The lighting is low, and there are a lot of comfy spots to sit, which makes the environment feel very calm and cozy. We ended up all ordering a variety of espresso martinis. Mine was a crème brûlée one, which was divine, but they all sounded delicious! We also ordered the fig & pear pizza to share. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the flavors worked really well together! I'm hoping I can come here with my husband soon.

I love speakeasies and this one was really cool! Don't want to give up all the secrets, but the entrance appears as a post office. We only got one drink each. I got The Alchemist's Secret Garden. I was hesitant because it was $20. But I thought yolo because the ingredients sounded too good; smoke infused gin, green chartreuse, ginger liqueur, lime honey & mint. It was incredible, and the presentation was gorgeous! The coolest drink presentation I've ever had. My friend got Love on the Rock. It was a vodka-based drink paired with watermelon pop rocks. Put a little bit of pop rocks in your mouth, then take a sip of the drink - it's a weird sensation but the flavors worked so well! The bartender that served us, and the host were both really nice. It's a super small space and they don't take reservations. Unfortunately if you have a big party, it's not likely you'll get in (we overheard that exact scenario while sitting at the bar). I believe they said they have around 20 seats. We loved the moody and intimate vibe though!
