This photographer is dishonest and his ads are grossly misleading. The only possible conclusion is that the ads were undoubtedly planted. I told him I wanted a head photo for an ad. He positioned my head smack in front of the camera, so that my face was grotesque. He promised one touch up, but despite my contacting him, he did not do one. After I complained, he said I didnt describe what I wanted--I should have said a "linked in" head shot. He didnt even realize LinkedIn photos are unique and certainly not like the one used for an ad. He was rude, and so full of himself dialogue was torture. He is a charlatan more than a photographer, slippery, dishonest, a liar and doesn't listen. Pennnick is a skilled, classic, and extreme con man. Therefore I recommend you stay away from him, and ignore all those fake compliments. When I went back to reread all the false praise he solicited for his site and online, I noticed that on one of them, there was a classic head shot that was perfect and what I described and wanted. So without any doubt he understood what I asked for. The only explanation is that he deliberately produced hat I didn't want, so he could extract another equal fee. When I mentioned this he said I should make another appointment--for the full price, he emphasized, paid in advance, as was the first fee. His ads are unbelievable, and he is a liar. His main interest is in keeping a massive number of friends who assist him in perpetrating his fraud though fake ads. He emphasized to me that he has a great following, and from his demeanor and endless chatter about how great he is, I can only recommend that prospective customers stay far away from his so-called "services." In reviewing the hundreds of reviews, it becomes obvious this man needs intensive care upstairs. Again my strong belief is that there is such a disparity between what this man is and what is claims to be , together with the lies and rudeness, that there is pathology here. In carefully considering the events, the conclusion is that he a manipulator. I would gladly have paid the fee to stay away from him. There is not a single honest thing from his mouth, or email exchanges. The bottom line is that I did not receive any photo from him that could be used for any purpose. He went the extra mile - arrived early, stayed late and even help participate... in my proposal plans (I proposed at a local art gallery and he acted as if he were the gallery guide). He has a unique, creative style and was able to capture exactly what I wanted in my engagement proposal photos. Every single one of Jason's photos was incredible and there were over 200 of them! After the photo shoot, he got the photos to us with the quickest turn around time I have ever seen. The ordering process was a breeze and he provided the digital copies to us so that we could use them on our wedding website and Facebook. Jason really bent over backwards for us - whenever we needed something, he was there to provide. We like him so much that we going to have him come out to San Diego to shoot our wedding if he's available. They are a husband and wife team so you're actually getting two photographers at a good price. We met them at their house and I was a little hesitant at first. Nothing they did, I was just a bit worried about hiring individuals and not some photography studio. They assured me they had plenty of experience. I am so glad we went with them. Joelyn was quick to respond to any and all of my emails. When my daughter scheduled her engagement photos, Joelyn and Doug arrived early at the location. They took fantastic engagement pictures of my daughter and fiance. From that point on, we knew we found the right photographer. On the day of the wedding, we told them what time to be at the church and they arrived a few minutes early (coming from Cypress to Sugar Land). They took great care in getting the correct lighting and poses as my daughter was getting dressed. They never pressure my daughter to pose for anything she didn't want. They took time with the first look pictures and made sure all the family shots were good. If they noticed something wrong, they'd take another photo. At the reception, they took several pictures and honor any guest requests. It was so easy working with them. We actually felt so comfortable with them, we had them eat inside the reception room with all the guests instead of a room reserved for the vendors. I cannot recommend them enough. We planned to have our shoot at Hermann Park and Eric got there early which ended up saving us as…read morewe didn't know the gardens closed at the time we were planning to get there. He gave us a call let us know so we were able to adjust and get there earlier so we could still get some garden shots. Eric gave us plenty of time to get a variety of shots, he was not rushing us or being tight on time. He turned our pictures around in only a few days which was incredible. After we received our pictures, I realized there were a few photos that my dress was creased and I asked Eric if there was anyway they can be adjusted and he said he could see what he could do. First! Anyhoo,…read moreCalvin was beyond belief. I booked on Peerspace (my first time learning about it), and out of my top three choices to film my client's pilot for YouTube, Vybe Studio was the clear choice. I had seen it a few times driving past--it's within a strip mall and business park on 1960 towards Willowbrook. But now I've gotten the opportunity to film there, and it's got all the bells and whistles: commercial ceilings, blackout curtains, a hedge wall, furniture with real plants, as well as photo lighting and monitors. There are a few other amenities as well, and while Vybe Studio isn't soundproof, it's back away from 1960 that the occasional motorbike isn't a huge audio issue. Calvin was very welcoming and accommodating; we moved all the furniture out the way to clear the blackout curtains for my background, and moved them back. At $55/hr, the price was right--generous, even--for everything that's there, so Calvin and Vybe Studio would be my preference when I need a place to film.
