They have options like pepper steak, classic mince (ground beef), chicken and mushroom and more. The chicken and mushroom is the tastiest. It's well seasoned and has good texture. The steak and mince pies are overly peppery and don't have a ton of flavor. The ground meat is smooth and not like typical ground beef which may turn some people off. The dough is crispy and well cooked. I haven't tried the sides. Prices are a bit high ($9.95 for a single palm-sized pie) for what you get but they're in Chicago and need to cover overhead. They offer frozen pies, if you prefer cooking at home. There's some meter parking and parking garages near by. This is a good place to check out but not one that will draw you back due to the lack of flavor.

The store is pretty small, with only two bar stool seats inside and an option to order from the outside window. Being able to order from the outside makes this a great option for a grab and go meal. What I ordered was the beef stew and Tikka masala. Unfortunately, what I got was the beef mince pie instead of the beef stew. This was not a total loss for me since I quite enjoyed the chicken tikka flavor, with the exception of it being light with the flavor. The mince I did not enjoy, though, and I could not get behind meat mince. I know I would have preferred the beef stew since I would have liked the chunks of beef with potato. I will give plenty of credit to the flake pie crust surrounding the pie, however. That made the pies more enjoyable to try. I would have given an extra star if I had gotten the correct pie, most likely, but regardless, I will probably return if I am in the area to try the other flavors. I recommend giving this place a try, but ensure you get the correct pie to avoid being a bit disappointed.

The portion was generous, the bacon crisped up well, and the whole thing came together better than a standard club usually does. The fries were the soft, soggy kind rather than crunchy, but somehow addictive, I kept reaching for them. Service was fine, and the space is roomy with plenty of seating, easy to settle in and talk over a long brunch.

Unfortunately today too many things were amiss, but most of all the service. The host was rude overall, but unfortunately this was eclipsed by the insolence of our server, who made comments during our very first interaction which were shockingly rude and uncalled for. In fact, I don't think I've ever been spoken to so rudely at a in my life. From reading other reviews, it seems this is the norm for this particular server. To their credit, it appeared that the restaurant was understaffed in terms of servers. However, it's unacceptable to speak to customers that way. Finally, there was an issue with the food. I ordered a beef pot pie with potatoes on the side. The potatoes came very quickly, and were delicious. Unfortunately the rest of my food and my dining partners' food did not arrive until at least 10 minutes later. I can understand that mixups happen, but I was annoyed because I could see that the rest of our dishes were sitting under the heating lamp but no one delivered them to our table for about 10 minutes. In the meantime, 2 tables near us who had arrived significantly after us, had already received all of their food and started eating. When I received my beef and gravy pie, it was dried out (having ordered this the past 2 visits, I knew it wasn't right). Based on this recent experience, I don't think I'd return.
