    Breakfast wrap, potato pancakes

Had an incredible breakfast at Ann Sathers!!! The cinnamon rolls are to die for, 5/5. We also couldn't get enough of the savory pancake special, 5/5. Breakfast wrap was okay, 3.3/5 and biscuits were a solid 3.8/5. Service was solid for how busy it was!

Ann Sather's second location. More like a simple cafe than the other location that's more like a breakfast diner.

Today, my wife and I decided to try Ann Sather's other location since we were craving their famous cinnamon rolls. We first arrived and were sat immediately upon entering. This location is a barebones simple cafe. Their other location has a more homey mom and pop restaurant feel. The seats are very uncomfortable. The pads on the chairs are hard as a rock. We were immediately greeted by our server. He got us coffee quickly and took our orders. I got the chicken fajita omelette, with sides of 2 cinnamon rolls and cottage cheese (for my wife's fruit cup she ordered). We shared the cinnamon rolls as well. We were very disappointed. When you get the rolls at their main location, they are oozing with frosting and are very warm and soft. This location served us somewhat hard rolls and barely had a trace of any heat. They felt old from a few days ago. The fruit bowl was very good and plentiful. The chicken fajita lacked flavor. Its inside fajita contents were bland. No seasoning. The only taste it had was from the spicy salsa you can pour on it. Overall, we were very disappointed. We have the main location 5 stars. Do yourself a favor and skip this location and goto the main site.

I had a truly exceptional breakfast here while visiting a friend in Chicago. The atmosphere is warm, lively and full of people coming and going. After dining here I completely understand why. The cinnamon rolls and potato pancakes were to die for. As someone from Texas who is used to very large portions of food it was very comforting to see that reflected here. Between the three of us we still had leftovers! I'm looking forward to returning on my next visit!

Ann Sather is a staple of Chicago restaurants. The story of the ownership is very heartwarming and they are famous if their cinnamon rolls. This location is old fashioned but it is clean and comfortable. No worries Each meal comes with sides of either their famous cinnamon rolls, or hash browns and etc. I had their eggs Benedict, classic. Runny egg yolk with hollandaise sauce on the side. Very fulfilling brunch. Service is excellent, someone will constantly refill your coffee and water. And yes, there is free parking next door

Food was everything I didn't know I needed. Obviously the cinnamon rolls are a must have. They're homemade and put places like Cinnabon to shame. I ordered the Denver omelette, which was amazing and just the right amount of onions because sometimes places go overboard. I also had fresh fruit which included blackberries which I don't often see at places. Our service was speedy and our waiter was attentive once we sat down. We came in late on a Saturday morning and the wait was only about 5 minutes. Well worth it and definitely returning! Still dreaming about those cinnamon rolls..

In the city for my son's graduation...not my first visit. Made a reservation given graduations but not as crowded as prior visits. Quick service for our party of seven; food hot when it hit the table. My burger was good size and juicy. Fresh tomato and crisp lettuce! Son had a breakfast plate...it disappeared quickly..."very good." And yes, get the cinnamon rolls...hot and sweet...never disappoint!

Got two cinnamon rolls for takeout and found them underwhelming. The icing was too thick (practically smothering the cinammon roll) and made it hard to taste the cinnamon roll part. I also didn't taste much cinnamon; they gave me one of the end corner pieces, but even the other piece was a lot more bread than cinnamon. The size was decent, a bit larger than my palm. The texture was very fluffy, and I enjoyed the mouthfeel. It was just sorely lacking in flavor. I might eat it again if someone offered me one, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to buy one again. A bit surprised, especially since everyone raves about this place's cinnamon rolls. The service is rather aggressive, for lack of a better term. I entered the restaurant around noon (well before the 3pm closing time stated on the sign at the door, plus there was still a table of people dining in) and was immediately stared down by all the employees and asked what I wanted before I took 5 steps into the building. I ended up telling them my order while I was still halfway across the floor, sort of awkward. It felt like everyone had an unfriendly and annoyed attitude. They were very fast, though. Very open sitting area with bright vibes, but it looks very crowded in the mornings when a lot of people are eating out for breakfast.

I came for brunch on a Saturday and the restaurant was very crowded but tables moved quickly and we got seated right away! The tables are set pretty close to each other so the noise level is a little high. I shared a cinnamon roll order with a friend (you get two as a side) which was the perfect starter. I wish it was a little warmer but they are really churning out the cinnamon rolls back there! I got the monthly special potato pancakes with bacon, cheddar, and dill. They were super flavorful and the crunchy texture was on point! My friends got breakfast wraps and they looked good but a little liquidy inside, I'm not sure from what. Our server was quick and responsive.

Extremely small portion of 2 Eggs with Corned Beef Hash

This place had such good reviews so I decided to order take out. I ordered a corned beef hash and I was completely shocked when I got home. What a pathetic portion. I ordered an ENTREE not a SIDE. Can anyone please explain to me how this is $17 dollars worth of food? This place is pathetic.

I was recommended by a few people to go to Ann Sather's and it was so good I went to two different locations. I will only write a review for this one, but both were outstanding. Food: Their draw is cinnamon buns and since I am borderline obsessed with them, I told myself I have to get them. It was DELICIOUS, no other way around it. Their eggs were done perfectly scrambles, the sausage links were okay, but their fruit bowl was amazing, I was both surprised and impressed. Service: Service in both places were exceptional. Everyone works as a team from what I saw and there is never an issue. Aesthetic: Very nice diner-style eating, good environment in a great neighborhood.

HALF of the French Toast Fantasy

Wow!! The French Toast Fantasy was magical. Everything about this experience was lovely. My husband and I biked from our hotel near Millennium Park. We shared the French Toast Fantasy. They brought it out on two separate plates for us. The fresh berries were the perfect pairing to this marscapone-filled cinnamon roll decadence. Delicious! Service was great, staff was happy and very pleasant. The atmosphere has a fun and colorful Scandinavian theme.

    Steak Benny
    Em O.

Definitely go for the cinnamon rolls- they live up to expectations and are quite divine. I was really excited for the steak Benny, but it was quite dissapointing- the meat was as dry as it looks in the pic. It was chewy and not enjoyable. The muffin was not crispy. The potato's were heavily seasoned and mushy. I did appreciate the option of cottage cheese as a side, which added a nice cool lite-ness to the meal. Def go for the rolls though!

The homemade corn beef hash with vegetables

Serving size was abundant, , I had the corned beef hash it was delicious along with two scrambled eggs and a side of fruit and tomatoes, group of four, everyone loved the food one person got the side of cinnamon rolls and shared with everyone of course we all loved it. Good food, good staff, good location. I would certainly go again

The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

Set in an old warehouse that is now an art gallery event space and restaurant nestled in an older warehouse district in Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Beautiful decor and laid out perfectly. The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the place you bring people close to you, business lunches, meetings, formal ir informal, or like me, save it for myself as my own getaway spot. It's an artists dream and sets a positive time for any gathering.
