** I Feel Taken Advantage Of -- Deeply Disappointed**…read more I'm heartbroken and angry after my recent experience with J & C Auto on Bright Star Rd. in Douglasville. I brought my car in to have the front bumper replaced, and was **never told** it would cost an additional \$1,500-\$2,000 to have it painted. I was in constant contact with Juan (owner's son), and I totally feel as if he took advantage of me. When I arrived to pick my car up and saw that UGLY bumper, I was floored! And oh, he was VERY apologetic for "not telling me" the bumper came primed AFTER I'd already paid them \$1,100, but made zero effort, ZERO attempt to make it right and retain my business. He had the nerve to say out of his mouth, "Ma'am, we wanted to do our best to save you money and get your back to you as soon as possible." What??!! I am no dummy. I know what primed means. I know that many exterior car part replacements come primed, which is why I texted Juan while they still had my car to request a quote to replace my passenger-side mirror and SPECIFICALLY asked for a bottom line that includes the cost to paint it which, by the way, was a ridiculous amount! He actually tried to tell me it was that expensive because they have to 'program' it. Goodbye! What hurts even more is that I truly believe I was treated differently -- and unfairly -- because I came in alone as a woman. I had taken my car here once before in 2024, but that time my ex-husband was with me. The difference was night and day: the communication was clear, the pricing was fair, and I felt respected. This time, I felt dismissed and misled, like I wasn't taken seriously or worthy of the same transparency. No one should be made to feel like they're being taken advantage of because of their gender. I trusted this shop, and now I feel completely betrayed. Ladies, beware. Spend your hard-earned money at an auto shop that sees you, respects you, and won't prey on your ignorance or your wallet. Do better, J & C Auto.

The lead mechanic/owner is very good at fixing what immediately needs to be fixed and outlining what has more time before it needs to be addressed. This helps me managing repairs over time instead of being hit with an astronomical bill. Most shops try to get you for every bit of work they can get in while they have your attention. J & C is not in the business of fixing every item that needs repair on your car if there is life on item they will make you aware and let you determine if you want to move forward. Being honest and truthful goes a long way with me. J & C auto displays this character.

Manny was a very respectful and friendly guy who took care of my vehicle. Even though they completed the paint correction, I now have new issues that I have just noticed since washing my vehicle 2 weeks after picking it up. Don't get me wrong, the car wash shining like it should've been when I took delivery of it, but it's the minor issue that I am left with now. After washing the vehicle and drying it down, I noticed a lot of blue marks along all 4 fenders. There's also some blue and white spots on the paint that no matter how much I washed and wiped over it, they will not come off.

Essentially leaving me stranded. So I get a ride over to their place them in person what I need to do to get my car fixed. We worked with Ray this time and from our first phone call to picking our vehicle up he was totally professional, showed he truly cared, personable and easy to talk to. They went above and beyond to answer any questions we had and look at every detail. It's nice to have a place that wants to give you the best service and this is it! I hope we don't need them again, but if we do, this is where we will go! Thanks again to Ray for all your help!

You replied to my Google review recently and said the same thing, but when I emailed you to ask what information you want to gather, you replied and said you forwarded my concern to the Peachtree, GA center management team. I already spoke with the local management team before I posted my review(s), and after going back and forth with them for MONTHS, they said 4 speakers getting blown-out/damaged during the 8-day period that Caliber Collision had my Corvette is "normal wear and tear," and they don't have any intention of resolving the issue, yet every mechanic and car audio shop I've spoken with said it's most definitely not wear and tear for 4 speakers to get damaged at the same exact time like that while Caliber Collision had my car." It's been over a month and I never received an email back from Caliber Collision. So much for wanting to address this as quickly as possible...

I honestly don't understand how this shop is still in business…read more I dropped off a set of five wheels to be powder coated, and we agreed on a pickup date that was clearly documented on my receipt. Eight weeks later, after countless excuses and no completed work, I finally decided enough was enough and went to retrieve my wheels. Looking back, I should have paid attention to the 3.4-star rating and the numerous negative reviews. Every time I called to ask about the status, there was a new excuse. The final explanation was that the humidity was causing delays. A professional powder coating shop should have the proper equipment and environmental controls to account for humidity. Hearing that only reinforced my impression that this shop lacks the competence and quality standards expected of a professional business. To make matters worse, the work they did complete was unacceptable. I now have to take my wheels to a reputable powder coating shop to have them redone correctly, meaning I paid this shop for work that ultimately has to be fixed. Save yourself the frustration, wasted time, and wasted money. Take the negative reviews seriously and go somewhere else. I'd honestly trust a reputable shop out of state before trusting this one again. If you value your time, your money, and your peace of mind, avoid this shop altogether
