Called at 11am to see if I could get a cut that evening, and was booked to see Connor. Haircut was awesome, but even better was getting to shoot the breeze with Connor and Josh. I was enjoying chatting with them so much that I thought Connor was done in 15 minutes! As it turns out, it was around 25 minutes, and the quality of the cut was A+! And the value, well, in the city my barber charged me almost twice as much, and my last NW barber was more expensive than here as well. Would recommend to anyone who gets a fade, this place is legit. Went there today because my sons needed a haircut. I called as I pulled into the lot to see if they could take a couple of walk-ins & was told that there were 2 people waiting, but if we didn't mind joining the wait they'd be happy to have us. Parked and walked in. Immediately we were greeted warmly by Barry, who I think answered the phone. We sat and waited. My sons were in awe of the talents of Trevor, Barry, and Asha. Our wait was short and Asha took care of my 8 year old. He wanted a top side-part with a short fade in the back. She took the time to listen and started cutting away. My 6 year old had the pleasure of Barry giving him his trip. His hair is short and just needed a clean up to the back & sides. A short trim of the front to make it "spiky." This place is completely professional and their cuts came out fabulous! Forget those nasty gimmicky "kid places!" We have found our forever home for haircuts for the boys! Just walked in with my fiancé who's Hispanic and I'm middle eastern, the guy inside was obviously white, we said hello with smiles, he gave us the weirdest look like what the fuck we were doing there like we didn't belong. It was just an uncomfortable vibe. He didn't stop to say hey or hi and ask what we needed or to wait since he was with a customer. Then I seen they don't even take a debit/credit card, please step into 2019. It felt like a race thing, just the vibe was off anyone whos experienced that knows what I mean, maybe I'm wrong all I know is the vibe I got was not welcoming & we felt very out of place. To the owner: oh you're shaking? Imagine how we felt? And now I'm shaking more. What could my motivation be a free haircut? I arrived waaay early since an appointment I had nearby ended sooner than I thought it would. Even then the guy cutting my hair apologized, which really I should be the one apologizing for being so early. A lot of the staff was there and they were super friendly. The place looks great. All i got was a simple haircut, but I grew my hair out too long and it was starting to look a mess. The barber got in done quickly and it looked great! Definitely a better place than the sports clips next to my house that I could just walk to, it was definitely worth the trip. Hair grows back, but bad experiences never really go away. I came to Corey's because of a bad experience elsewhere, and think this might be my new place for a while. I called in and Trevor answered the phone so I got an appointment to see him. In the entry area there is a sign on the way with some history, and it says father and son open barber shop. I'm assuming Trevor is the son and now took it over, but I could be wrong. There's also a picture of a lady and she looks like the lady that runs the place and the cash register. Anyway, it looks like a family operation which is pretty cool. I like going to smaller, family run places where I know I am helping their business. Some bigger places are owned by corporations, and you'll never meet the owners. I like this place. It's laid back, they play decent music, they aren't trying to show off. Trevor seems like a pretty cool guy, although he doesn't say much. I'm not looking for chit chat, just a decent haircut at a good price. I think it's like $18 for the men's cut. I was paying about $26 at the other place and they sucked. read more

After a couple years of getting haircuts here, I had a bad experience on my recent visit. The guy with the long hair had plenty to say about his attitude about protecting customers from COVID-19. He needs an attitude check because it's not my fault or any of your customers' fault that you're inconvenienced by the required protections. He ended up following me out of the place, clearly looking for a physical confrontation, then stood on the sidewalk screaming (much to the amusement of passersby down the sidewalk). As for the haircut, it was just as bad. It was uneven and I had to go to another barber who pointed out all the mistakes made by the person who cut my hair. Times are tough, but giving a bad haircut, then triggering and screaming like a crybaby are not good ways to help your business. read more

Was hoping to find a new (regular) place to trim my beard. Scheduled an appointment for 12:20 today via their website. At 12:50, I decided not to sit there waiting any longer for my 12:20 appointment and left. What's the point of scheduling appointments if they're not honored?? I'm not unreasonable and can completely understand running a few minutes behind, but at no point was there even any acknowledgement of my appointment, apology for running late, or even a care that I got up to leave. Anna has been cutting my hair for a couple of years, and I am a highly satisfied customer. My hair is a minefield of cowlicks, and Anna has figured out ways to make it look good both when I keep it short in summer and let it get longer during colder months. I listen to her recommendations, and she has never led me wrong. Anna is also quick and efficient, so you don't waste time when you have errands to run. In addition, she tops off the cut with a quick, relaxing shoulder massage, and I leave feeling great and free of tension. Cory, the shop's owner, is an affable and engaging gent who makes it a pleasant place to wait your turn. There aren't many true barber shops remaining, and I am happy that North Arlington Barber Shop is still at it. Sadly, Corey passed away in 2016, and Anna has opened her own shop across the street at Salons by J.C. next to Gail's restaurant and behind Men's Warehouse. Corey was the spirit and personality of the place, and Anna gave me the best haircuts I've had. I wish the shop succeess, but I have followed Anna to her new shop. read more

I've been there twice now and I have never been disappointed. The staff take their time to ensure you're completely satisfied with the service provided. As for Covid, everyone is masked up, socially distanced, and the equipment is cleaned regularly. The fact that anyone can schedule an appointment online is just the cherry on top. It takes less than five minutes (and allows me to avoid an uncomfortable phone call). Overall it's one of my favorite barber shops. Everyone's super friendly and professional.
