Attentive and effective. Because this review requires 85 characters I'm forced to be needlessly loquacious. This barbershop is just fine for those in need of a haircut. Its attempts to be something upscale, and dare I say hipster are a distraction from the core offering, which is skilled barbers. Their staff is nice, and my haircut was good, period. read more

Walked in to get my son a haircut. They fit us in for an hour later. They wanted a CC to make the appointment just in case we no-showed. I paid for the haircut in advance. His haircut turned out really nice and he got a orange soda at the end. We will return but the CC to make an appointment is very new to us. read more

I have been to Barber Pop Shop on a number of occasions. I typically get The Executive which costs $65.95 which is their most expensive service and includes a total of 12 different services as part of it. Generally speaking, I've always had a good experience there. On one occasion I was late and was told they might not be able to provide all of the items included in The Executive which was completely understandable. My most recent appointment was scheduled for 2:30 PM. I was running late and as I pulled up at 2:42 I received a text from them stating I was a "no show". At 2:43 I was in the salon and was told that because I was late, they had charged me the $65.95 and that they might not have time to do all of the services I had purchased. I was then told that if I wanted to continue with The Executive, I would have to pay the full amount of $65.95 again which would bring the total to $131.90 because I was a "no show". In a service oriented business where profitability is largely determined by developing relationships and generating repeat clients, I was stunned they wanted to charge me double. I completely understand that by being late, I would not be given the full allotted time, but the fact that they would not provide any of the services I had paid for was shocking. If I had truly been a "no show" and not shown up at all, I would completely expect to be billed the full amount. Regardless of what the fine print says when one books an appointment, this experience showed me they have no interest in developing relationships and repeat clients. Even though I have been a repeat customer, this experience was so souring, I will likely never return again. read more

This place is nice. I love the decorations and the ambiance. I just got a trim and payed the extra $6 for a shampoo and conditioner. I enjoy getting my hair washed and the person doing it for me (Brittany I think) did a nice job. My haircut looks good and she made sure that if there was anything else I liked before I was finished. I absolutely love that they added a soda shop to the barber because it gives the chance for people who aren't getting a haircut who are waiting on people to sit back, and relax while their friend/family member is getting a haircut. That was such a great idea. The names for the mixed sodas were super cute and the one I got was delicious (The Duke- Coke, fresh lime, and coconut) this place is great when there's a long line at soda vine. Just as good!! I just got a fresh new under cut from Natalie and I love it!! The lines are so crisp and clean. The fade is amazing. And I've never had a straight razor on my neck. Looks and feels so nice. Finished off the service with a steamed towel. Holy cow I will be back. Stephanie is very talented and I'm excited to try out new designs with her. I've had over a dozen haircuts here. I've tipped graciously, been on time, and I've demonstrated patience with delayed appointments and haircut quality. However, I lost my car keys and showed up 12 mins late to my appointment. Nobody in the shop, and they said they were booked for the day. I tried to explain myself but they completely blew me off. The atmosphere and quality of the place is great. It is a little bit pricey for a men's cut but you do get a great quality cut. The sodas there are good but again one of the more pricey ones in Rexburg since the town has 5 mix-in soda shops. read more

Barberpop shop is probably the best soda shop in Rexburg. Their decor is cute and the atmosphere is fun and different!

Best soda shop in rexburg. Fun place to hang out and listen to good music too. Definitely worth trying out.
