She worked with my husband and I even with us being 2 hours away from her and our wedding being 3 hours away from each of us. Stephanie was able to take my hazy muddled "vibes" of a description and turned it into a beautiful vision. When my dad died and my mom broke nearly ever bone in her body in a car crash just 4 months before the wedding Stephanie became even more valuable, not just as a planner but as a human. I didn't know if I could move forward with the day. She had about 7 different plans in place depending on what I would need, be it pushing things back a year, cutting down the list, or canceling all together. Stephanie took a day that could have been filled with pain and made it stunning. With all of this happening beforehand it didn't surprise me that the morning of my wedding my coordinator informed me that there were not enough linens and so they had to use a different color as a back-up. I work in events and event planning so I know this is just a small issue and so I didn't let it bother me. The food at the wedding was nothing like it was at our tasting. It was also cold and my husband and I got fed last which ended up making everything else run late. My coordinator was shocked when she saw that we hadn't been fed yet and went over and got us some food. Overall the wa worst vendor we had and the one regret I have for our day. During the event she made sure that everything ran without a flaw. She checked in all the cell phones, directed our guests and was there to answer any questions that arose. When the event was over, she helped with returning cell phones, passing out treat bags and then she stayed and made sure that the take down was completed. I drive by Meadow Vista Gardens several time a a month on my way up to my parents and loved the idea of getting married there. The venue definitely doesn't look like the pictures anymore, sadly. The property hasn't been well maintained for a while. There is so much potential, but the gardens and grounds have not been kept well. I found the bushes oddly hacked back and a lot of what should have been green was brown. We met with Andy, the owner. My mom connected with him over the phone and really liked him. In-person, I felt like I was being sold by a cheesy sales person. My spider senses were going off big time saying "this guy is a swindler". After we toured the venue, we started talking prices. He was already changing the prices he had told my mother on the phone. To be fair, I didn't actually have my wedding here. That's because my gut was telling me not to do business with Andy. He charges a premium for what you get. He changed the name of his venue a few years ago and there are some pretty disturbing reviews under the old name.
