Very disappointed with the service we received at Barbizon Restaurant Garden & Hookah Lounge in Miami Beach. My wife and I only ordered two coffees (a cortadito and a latte), and it honestly felt like the attitude changed once the staff realized we weren't ordering a full breakfast or expensive meal. We were seated outside by the street, and when it was time to pay, I politely asked another waitress/host if I could pay with her. Instead of helping, she told me I had to go find our original waitress myself. I then had to walk all the way inside the restaurant to locate her at the register. The waitress, Roxana, took my card, processed the payment, handed me the receipt, and immediately turned her back without saying a word. No "thank you," no "have a nice day," nothing. I even had to ask for my receipt because the interaction felt so cold and dismissive. To make things worse, a 20% service charge was already added to a simple coffee order, yet the service felt rude and unwelcoming. If you're thinking about going to Barbizon South Beach for drinks--don't. We came because they advertised a late happy hour (buy one, get one free), but what we got was a complete letdown. The "small" drinks were about 12 oz and cost $25 each--and they were extremely watered down. My friend ordered a Long Island Iced Tea, and I had something called "Call Me an Uber." Anyone knows a Long Island should hit--especially within 20 minutes. She finished hers and felt nothing. Same for me--my drink tasted like straight juice, no alcohol at all. To make it worse, gratuity was already built into the bill (around 18%), and the checkout screen only allowed up to an additional 3% tip--so you're essentially locked into tipping regardless of the experience. Bottom line: overpriced, watered-down drinks, and misleading promotions. This felt like a rip-off. Avoid this place. read more

I am usually not someone who leaves reviews or complains about bad service or food, but this experience left me genuinely shocked. My mom and I were walking past the restaurant when a woman dressed in all pink with a skirt stopped us and asked if we wanted to be seated. At the time, we weren't very hungry and were just looking for something small. I had originally wanted to go to Starbucks, and we told her that, but it felt like she was constantly pressuring us to come inside. We politely said no several times, but she kept insisting and begging us to give the restaurant a try. I understand trying to attract customers, but this felt excessive. Eventually, she convinced my mom, so we decided to go in. After looking at the menu, I decided to order a passion fruit smoothie since, as I mentioned, I only wanted something small. My mom wasn't hungry either, so she ordered a coconut margarita. When the waitress came to take our order, I told her I didn't want any food. Again, we were met with pressure to order something to eat. It felt as though ordering only drinks was somehow unacceptable. This time, however, we stood our ground and only ordered the drinks. When they arrived, they looked promising and were presented nicely. Unfortunately, the taste was the complete opposite. The passion fruit smoothie tasted like pure sweetener rather than actual fruit. It was overwhelmingly sweet, almost as if it was made almost entirely with flavored syrup. I have a sweet tooth, but even I found it genuinely undrinkable. My mom took one sip of her margarita and immediately noticed granulated sugar. Although she ordered the coconut margarita, it didn't taste like coconut or even like it contained alcohol. To make matters worse, the bill came to nearly $60 for just one smoothie and one margarita. After we left, we both ended up with stomach pains, likely because of how sugary the drinks were. I can't comment on the food since we didn't order any, but based on our experience, I would strongly advise against ordering the drinks. Between the aggressive pressure to get us inside, the continued pressure to order food, the poor quality of the drinks, and the high prices, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. That was actually delicious.. tall whip cream iced on a Miami morning. The music is very pleasant relaxing pretty cool. We were really duped by this restaurant. We ordered 2 x lemonades, 1 x chicken parmesan, 1 x caprese sandwich & 2 x Key Lime Pies. The bill came to $130.16 This is the breakdown:- 2 x lemonades $29.90, the rest of the items were $29.00,18.00, $24.00 respectively. Total $100.90 plus service $20.18, plus sales tax etc. Basically, we were ripped off! We questioned the price of the lemonades but were told that the price was correct, when in fact, soft drinks were at most $7 each. If you decide to eat there, just check your bill carefully!
