    Cauliflower Tacos
    John B.

Excellent. The service was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance sitting outside in sight of the Pride of Baltimore ship was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My son really enjoyed his steak tacos and I loved the cauliflower tacos. The guacamole and chips were excellent. I think it was the Barcocina guac.

I went here twice in the same week and different experiences... the food is hit or miss. The tacos are lackluster, if you know what a good taco tastes like, these taste like they're missing something. The jalapeño cornbread and octopus dish were both good and creative. The corn dip is just ok, not a standout, and same with the guac. The service is also just ok, my first waitress here was nice the other was very disinterested/not wanting to be as helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is by the water so it's a great vibe/atmosphere-- a homeless guy did come up to our table and he went in the restaurant to ask us to buy something for him so it is a pretty open space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I love Barcocina. I've lived in Baltimore for 4 years and it's still one of my favorite places to go. Their brunch is great, their tacos are yummy and they have so much variety in terms of meat/veg and flavor profile. The first taco I ever tried was the Bang Bang cauliflower taco and I'm pretty sure I ordered it every single time I went there for a year. I also love steak taco, and at one point there was a taco take had Korean inspired flavors that was super yummy but it's no longer on the menu. For drinks I love the Julio smash and the red sangria. I also love that they always have bottomless mimosas. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's always ample seating inside and outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, if you're sitting on the outside that's closest to the harbor, you're kind of in the outskirts and I'm not gonna lie the two times I've sat on that far side it almost felt like our server completely forgot about us but you're by the water, it's nice and sunny, there's a nice breeze[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's also great for people watching or if you just want a little bit more privacy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is usually great, they are frequently training staff tho. I'm not sure if it's just a summer thing and maybe they have younger college aged adults who just need a summer gig, but once the weather gets nice there's a higher chance of you getting a server whose simultaneously training someone or you have a trainee as your waiter and then someone comes every so often asking how they're doing. Not a big deal but it can get a little annoying. Either way the food is great, the drinks are great, the location is perfect for the summer time and they have friendly staff. I will always be a regular there.

Barcocina left me with mixed feelings. I came here for a night out and dinner after seeing strong reviews online and hearing several recommendations. Service: We were seated quickly, which was a great start. Unfortunately, after that it felt like we were mostly forgotten. Once our server came back, everything seemed rushed as if they were trying to catch up. Taste: The food itself was underwhelming. The salsa tasted like it came straight from a jar, and the tacos we ordered were very Americanized with little authenticity or standout flavor. Ambiance: This is where the restaurant really shines. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location right on the harbor is beautiful and the overall vibe is relaxed, making it a great spot to sit outside and enjoy the waterfront.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, the setting is excellent, but the food and service didn't live up to the hype.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Brunch Enchiladas

It's been years since I last visited Barcocina, but I'm glad the deliciousness of the food has stayed consistent over the years! I ordered the brunch enchiladas, which had spicy chicken, fried egg, cotija cheese, pico de gallo, lettuce, and our waitress brought a spicy sauce to complement the dish. I also ordered the blackberry mule for my drink, and I only have good things to say! I really enjoyed this meal and will definitely order it again!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant in Fells Point had great view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The view makes the experience much better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was very helpful and attentive. We got few tacos and they were all delicious. I would def recommend to friends for a brunch or dinner.

This place has a really good bottomless mimosa deal that happens throughout the week. My friends and I love to come here for bottomless mimosas. The food is okay, I like to get the steak tacos. I was not a fan of the cheeseburger tacos. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a nice place to grab mimosas near the water with a great view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is attentive.

We love the Green Goddess Salad, we add grilled chicken and shrimp, so delicious! We also get the Octopus (only available for dinner which starts at 3pm). Today we tried the calamari, I have had better but my husband thought it was decent. Service is fast enough, people are friendly enough. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are options for inside and outside seating, good for large and small groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Flank Steak Tacos
    Jodi L.

Our first time here! We enjoyed getting guacamole and chips and guacamole and salsa as our appetizers. I wasn't the biggest fan of the red salsa as it was a little different than what I'm used to, but the guacamole was outstanding. The chips were cut into smaller pieces which I liked! Our server recommended the tacos and felt that the breaded cauliflower, and flank steak were two of their best sellers. We ordered both in addition to the shrimp tacos. The sauces for all of the tacos were to die for, and all three of them were so flavorful. My dad ordered the tuna appetizer which was freshly sliced Ahi tuna with jalapeños and chips, he loved it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are plenty of options for seating, indoors, on the patio and outdoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The view is amazing and the service was fast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

A friend recommended this restaurant so I decided to give it a try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views and the ambience of the restaurant were great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I sat at the bar and ordered since it was just me. There was big party leaving so maybe that is why the bartender wasn't as friendly. I asked her a few questions about the menu because it was my first time there but she really didn't seem interested in helping me. I did order one drink, the corn dip and duck tacos. I didn't order more drinks because she never came back to check on me. A different bartender brought me my check to pay. The experience wasn't the best and the food was okay. The corn dip was my favorite. The tacos had too much cheese for me. I won't probably be back but I can say I went.

I came here with friends and we enjoyed the 22 dollars bottomless mimosas. I got the breakfast torta and I really enjoyed it.

I came here for lunch with some friends and we sat outside by the water. They are dog-friendly and did provide a water bowl. The view is really nice. I had the Tuna Tartare ($15) and it was great. I do wish they provided more chips though. The Tequila Old Fashioned ($15) was also pretty good. They used a chile liqueor so it had a slight kick. They also use Luxardo Cherries, which is always a plus!! For happy hour, they have an $8 shot of their tequila for the week. Our server, Jackson, was great. She was really kind and patient while we ordered. Also, 20% gratuity was automatically added to our check (I'm guessing because it was happy hour).

For starters this is a versatile restaurant providing lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The service was really good and almost makes you wonder if it's because of the automated gratuity. Started the day with the Elotes dip which balanced well with the savory and sweetness. It was very much a dip which was good. I wasn't the biggest fan of the tortilla chips for the dip but I get wanting a hearty chip to scoop the Elotes. The birria duck was very good and something different you don't see often in this style cuisine. I absolutely loved the pork carnitas tacos with the pineapple salsa. I could have that solely and be perfectly fine with my order. The last meal item was the cheesesteak empanadas which needed the cheese sauce to complete the achieved flavor pairing. This was my least favorite item; however, it was cooked perfectly and mildly seasoned. The cheese sauce was very powerful in this dish. The drinks were refreshing and flavorful. If you like Mezcal I do recommend trying the Smokey Margaritas. The tequila selection was rather impressive having a mixture of 100 pure agave selections. I upgraded the base tequila with Siete Leguas in both cocktails which landed well for my palate. The ambiance was very modern with an earthy feel. The sunlight works well for photos without the need for filters. Overall, I do see the automated gratuity as potentially discouraging to those wanting a full experience on a budget here. The pricing was more toward the pricey side which was ok for me considering the quality was there. 4.5 of 5 well done

The space itself is small but homey, which I liked. It's a little bit of a tight fit for everyone in there but it works. The service overall was great. The chef came over and greeted us, and even checked in later, and we had a great conversation with their somm. The food was fantastic! The pasta's and pizzas were both unique and delightful. We split a ceasar salad, meatballs, the greek pizza, a sausage pizza, and two speciality pastas- a cacio e pere (pear), and another one that I can't pronounce in italian but was a very thin lasagna like noodle with meats/spices inside. We also split one of their desserts, which i really liked. Shout out to the hazelnut gelato which was particularly delicious. I will absolutely return!

Definitely for smaller groups. We actually got lucky, apparently every Wednesday they do a free wine tasting and if you choose to buy a bottle it's 30% off so of course we got the bottle. The Polpette was to die for, hands down my favorite dish of the night. I initially wanted the Rigatoni but it was sold out so I decided on the Agnolotti and my friend got the Spaghetti alla Chitarra. The Agnolotti was not bad but the flavor was more earthy than I prefer, but my friend thought it was delicious so we swapped pastas. All in all it was cute spot to catch up with the gals the service was great. Will definitely be coming back to try the Rigatoni and some of their cocktails.

Their Baltimore Restaurant Week menu was a 7 course (!!) meal that was truly an experience and absolutely worth the price. My favorites were the chicken cutlets, the sorbet, and the white chicken curry. Honorable mention to the side dishes because we got refills and they were so good. When we first arrived, the restaurant was pretty busy, but as it got closer to closing it became much less crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I had the Kolhapuri Goat Curry & Gatlic this Naan bread, both of which are fantastic choices. The broth of the curry was nice and rich with a good level of spice, much of what a good curry should have. The goat itself had a bit more bones than I'd prefer, but overall even those were extremely tender & flavorful. Additionally I had used the Naan bread to help finish up the broth, which ended with a very satisfying comfort meal. The service & ambiance itself was also a pleasure. I personally prefer small establishments to avoid unnecessary noise while dining. Mix that with the incentive staff and you'll definitely enjoy yourself on your vist here, much like I did.
