The agent told me my card was removed (it wasn't) and said I couldn't cancel yet because I was on auto-renew -- I was told to call back at the beginning of the year. So I did. And that's when the fun really started. I emailed the address they list for support -- turns out it's no longer monitored. I was told to send "written notice" to another email, which then replied that they don't handle cancellations. I was told to call instead... except live agents were out for the New Year holiday. All this while I'm getting texts about a future service appointment that I'm actively trying to cancel. Every path leads to a dead end. Email says call. Call says no one's available. Another email says they don't do cancellations. Meanwhile, service is still scheduled. If you're thinking about Aptive, just know that signing up is easy -- getting out is not. At this point, I'm honestly not sure who the bigger pest is: Aptive or the ants.
