My nails were beautiful, and the technician was meticulous and professional. That experience is the reason I drove the extra distance to return. Unfortunately, today's visit was completely different. The technician used what appeared to be a dull cuticle cutter that dug into my cuticles and nail beds, leaving the skin around my nails jagged and irritated. The manicure itself looks rushed, uneven, and unprofessional. Honestly, I am embarrassed to show my hands. When I showed my fiancé my nails, he immediately told me I should go back and have them redone. I certainly do not feel I should have to pay another $55 to fix work that should have been done correctly the first time. I rarely leave negative reviews, but the difference between my first visit and today's visit was shocking. Given the condition of my nails, I believe the salon should offer to redo them at no charge and make this right. I posted on my local Next Door and received several suggestions. Kellie contacted me and said she had openings within a couple of days. Okay, set the appointment and went in the door. Very cute and happy salon with just 3 stylists. I had been going to someone in another state for a long time that was in a private suite. I hadn't seen a lot of the techniques for color and cut in years. I learned a lot from the three stylists that were working, including Kellie. We talked about what I needed and she went to work. My color and cut came out exactly as I asked and I was so pleased. Everyone was so friendly and it was a fun afternoon.
