I have traveled and lived in many states from Florida to Oregon and all though the Southwest. I worked for Richard Simmons in Dallas, which had one of the most modern tanning salons in the country. I have been going to Heavenly Glow Tanning Salon long before it was owned by the present owner, Juliette. I have seen it advance and become more modern, well stocked, beautiful wrapped beds, and a beautiful and wonderful staff. when you walk into this salon, you are welcomed and you feel like Annette and Jessica really care and are there for your needs. The salon is spotless, smells great and comfortable. All in all, I will have to say, Heavenly Glow far surpasses any tanning salon I have ever been in, including Mr Simmons. I m very new to tanning beds, spray booths and right light therapy, so I did a little research before deciding on a salon. I live about an hour away (in Marana - near Cattletank). There were closer salons but my determining factor was the online reviews. When I pulled into the parking lot, I saw the words, "TANNING" on the building, and knew I was in the right place. When I entered the salon, I was welcomed by a very friendly redhead, named Jessica and an inviting salon smell. I still had many questions and Jessica was knowledgeable in answering all of them. She took note of my allergies, informed me I was eligible for a 10% Veteran discount on services (certain options apply) and all products, although the prices are very affordable without the discounts. Because I am a new client, I was taking up a lot of her time. When other clients walked in, she greeted them by their first name, politely excused herself, assisted them and quickly came back to complete my paperwork. She taught me how to utilize all three machines, after each session. She ensured the machines were clean and sanitized, provided me with a robe, so I could move from room to room without dressing and undressing, which is very beneficial. Each room had an extra fan, a fresh clean towel and goggles. When I was done, Jessica went over the "how to care for your tan instructions", offered some products (reminded me of my 10% veteran discount) and I left feeling extremely satisfied and happy that I chose Heavenly Glow for my tanning & wellness care. Back in the day when I used to live in T-town and when I used to fake n bake, this was my spot. Clean place. Great bulbs in all the beds. Beds are of standard quality. The place is family owned and operated. Professional, friendly staff. Great selection of lotions, plus if you want something specific they'll order it for you! I have since grown up and do not endorse fake tanning because the signs of aging will creep up on you if you tan year round and/or frequently. Been a customer since 2004. I've been pleased with service they provide. The business is recently under new management since Barb sold it. They will provide everything pretty much the same as Barb use to. The decor is updated and now includes teeth whitening for about 80 bucks. Instead of getting a dum-dum lolly pop you now receive a life saver breath mint. The interior of each room use to be very dark and now the rooms are very well lit which is a plus! The beds are still generic nothing special but they get the job done. Each week they get new tanning lotions. I have always just walked in without having to wait or make an appointment. read more

This was my first visit to Heavenly Glow. I came in for a spray tan before heading out of town, and Kelly was awesome. I was a little bit worried when I called because they don't take reservations or appointments, but Kelly took great care of me and I was in and out in 15 minutes or so. Color is great and there's no Cheetoh effect. It's clean, albeit a tad bit cramped in the lobby with teeth whitening and leg tanning stations right out on front street. I really appreciate not being charged extra for necessary things - other places charge extra for foot guards (these protect the bottoms of your feet from the tan solution). I also loved NOT being pressured and up sold on memberships, packages, etc. That kind of thing isn't exactly welcoming, especially on a first date. Let's get to know each other a little bit before we start a relationship. I'm definitely up for a second date, and maybe we'll upgrade from drinks to coffee. Maybe even dinner. read more

I had it done before my wedding and the color came out perfect...although I was told the color wouldn't rub off it did a Lil on the inside of my dress but who cares!! If there was a spot to give zero stars I would! The owner is very combative and argumentative and definitely doesn't take criticism well about ideas or suggestions about her salon. The fact that her beds are extremely outdated, at times even parts being held together by tape and while hearing about the top of a bed falling on a customer not once but twice doesn't sound very safe to me. The one particular bed I tan in isn't really all that clean, if you get inside of it there is several spots that have a film or residue of some sort that I am pretty sure couldn't be passed by a health inspection. The goggles that are given out always have a crusty substance on them as well, so I prefer to use the black towel they provide and just cover my face. I am new to Yelp and had heard the owner telling people to "Yelp her out" that is not quite what I am doing although I thought my voices of concern should be heard. I expect for the owner to be just as argumentative to my post online as she is in person. read more
