I was a regular client and initially happy with Destinie's services. But after asking a simple, respectful question about discounted pricing for a treatment series of facial peels, I received a surprisingly personal and unprofessional response that included assumptions about my character and suggestions I look elsewhere. I've always paid the full price that she asked for her services and referred others, but was treated as if I was trying to take advantage. Supporting a small business shouldn't mean accepting guilt trips or disrespect about buying expensive things from her when theyre available for cheaper outside. Asking if a tailored treatment exists without unnecessary add-ons for myself is not equivalent to asking for a "discount". Its called valuing whats most important and cutting the fluff. I was pressured to leave a tip many many times despite the service not deserving of it. I never took the liberty to start insulting the business owner due to the frustration. So if repeatedly asking for tips isnt considered an insult to the client, how come a client asking for a cheaper tailored treatment offering considered an insult to the business? Destinie was wonderful! I booked an appointment with her after a friend recommended her. She texted me right away to try to figure out my skin. I went to her to get a few facials prior to me wedding and she was meticulous and was able to provide recommendations on my skin type. I also didn't own an exfoliate at the time and she gave me some samples to take home. On the final facial before my wedding, I told her I was going to get my eyebrows waxed in a day or so and she said it would be better to do it before my facial. She added on the waxing and shaping to my service and was so particular and a perfectionist, which is what I appreciated days before my wedding.
