My facial was alright. The microdermabrasion and oxygen were done very thorough, but no extractions were done. While the mask was on she massaged the same spot the whole time which started to get uncomfortable. My facial was done before an hour. Updating my review I originally wrote 7 months ago. If I could give Champagne Skin Lounge 10 stars I would. Nicole is my go to for everything. I called her today stressing over how bad my breakouts have been lately and Nicole got me right in for a quick facial (I got lucky and called just in time for a quick opening in her busy schedule) Nicole is fantastic. Kelsey is also my go-to for spray tans. She is knowledgeable and very good at making the tan appear even, plus the tan doesn't look orange or overly done in anyway. Even though I've only had appointments with Nicole and Kelsey I would trust anyone in that office. :) Nicole is absolutely AMAZING!!!! I've been getting wax for over a year now and after having Nicole today I will NEVER go anywhere else. It was absolutely painless and so freaking quick. I have been coming to Champagne Skin Lounge for over a year now and I will definitely continue to come for as long as I live in SD County! I always recommended them to every gal I know! Their prices are reasonable and their customer service is amazing! I usually get my Brazilian Waxes by Nikki (the owner) and she always makes my appt so great! The waxing session is quick, which I love because it makes the pain a lot more tolerable. I think it's sweet that I can have convos with Nikki and we will pick up right where we left off at our next appt. My hubby gets his teeth whitened here as well. He loves it! At my last appt, I was seen by Paige in which I had no problem with because Nikki always makes it known that her girls are just as great! This place is amazing, so generous, and very efficient. I have been to a TON of different waxing places and this is my favorite by far! Here is why: 1. I have had both Nikki and Nicole and they were both equal in their quality of service. They are also so kind and warm, making the customer feel comfortable. 2. Getting waxed is painful period; but this place is the LEAST painful waxing place I have been too. 3. They are sooooooo efficient. Guys. I am always in and out in 15 minutes max. They also do a great job getting everything taken care of in that time. They are not messy and produce really great results. 4. They also pack in a lot of people in a day, I have never had trouble making an appointment even super last minute. 5. Poor customer service. I called to ask if there were any appointments available and the receptionist who answered the phone said "I don't know. Let me check and call you right back". She took down my name and number. A few hours pass and I realize that I never did receive that call back. I attempted to call but unfortunately by that point they were closed. Yes people forget, but this is a place of business. The receptionist could have had a spreadsheet/appointment book to determine what appointments were available (like many salon and spa's even if they are hand written like the old days) OR could have actually called me back to let me know there were or were not appointments for the date requested. If a basic customer service such as a call back when they said they would can't be followed through on, I'm not sure how well the rest of their services are. read more

Waxing is quick and painless (if you've done this before) and they both equally make you feel comfortable. Nicole did an awesome job! I found her here on Yelp since I have just moved back into the area and was not dissappointed. As a first time client I got a $19 Brazilian (wow!) which didn't hurt at all (I do get regular waxes though every 6-8 weeks). And a $55 1 hr pumpkin peel facial. She was professional, thorough and my skin is on its way to smoothness. during the facial as part of the 1 hr a hot stone massage to my arms as well as a neck/chest massage was added; totally relaxing! She also offers specials if you book the next appt while you are still in the office. The space is shared by her friend that specializes in blonde hair color; whom I also will be trying out. First Times A Charm! I had never had a brazilian before so needless to say, I was pretty nervous when I finally doubled down and decided to head into Champagne Skin Lounge. My waxer was Rebecca and to my surprise the brazilian was a breeze! I give all of the credit to Rebecca for her stellar job at keeping conversation flowing and keeping my nerves to a minimum. She was amazing and even recommended a great skincare product that reduces the inflammation of ingrown hairs, (a terrible issue of mine). Being there on a Groupon, I hadn't brought much extra cash, but she surprised me with a sample of it while I was rescheduling for my next brazilian waxing. This is a fantastic little spa off of a main street in Carlsbad. Rebecca made me feel comfortable getting my first Brazilian. Because honestly, you're getting your hair ripped out of your vulva area. It's not a cake-walk, but it wasn't too bad at all, thanks to Rebecca talking me through it. I will definitely be back, and also looking into underarm hair removal as well. I like this place. I LOVE the pumpkin spice facial. It was so nice I bought the peel myself to do at home. Makes my skin smooth and soft for days. The only thing I don't like is that is takes at least 5 phone calls to get through. That's the only downside. But once you book it, its nice experience. I got spray tanned here recently and it is probably the worst one I've had in a while. Super streaky my hands are bright orange, the whole inside of my arm was missed, there is huge difference between the color and my skin and it is so obvious where she missed places.. very disappointed. I've been to this Location twice now and both times I've been thoroughly impressed. The first time, I arrived a bit early. It was no problem and I was even seen early! I was all done with my wax and checked out of my appointment before it was even scheduled to begin! To me, that's unheard of. Thanks Nicole!
