When I went to check out, I was suddenly told it was an extra $160, which felt very misleading. I couldn't exactly say "I wasn't aware, take it out." so I just paid and left. During my lip filler, she had the alcohol pad pressed on my nose, and I couldn't breathe without inhaling alcohol. I was panicking, trying to make noises and even move my head a little so she'd realize something was wrong, but she didn't notice until afterward and just said "oops, sorry" and the corrected herself for the rest. It was scary and one of the most uncomfortable feelings I've ever had during an appointment. Imagine only being able to breathe in alcohol. I work in sales, so I completely understand upcharges and add-ons -- but I also know the importance of transparency. Because I had never shaved my face before, the shaving required for the treatments has completely altered my hair growth and left me in a worse position. A major issue is the lack of consistency. There is a constant shift in the staff performing the service. While the rotating staff obviously know they are treating my lip and chin, they have absolutely no idea whether there has been any actual improvement because no single person tracks your progress over time or knows what specific areas to focus on. When I brought up that my hair is actively worse than when I started, their only solution was to suggest I go on a maintenance plan, that is 70% off. I understand that maintenance may be needed eventually, but that should be for after a successful period of time. Pushing a maintenance plan right away when the initial treatment failed and made the problem worse feels incredibly tone-deaf. For the price and the promises made, I expected much better results and continuity of care.
