I was really upset when she gave me the mirror at the end of the session, and to her credit, she comped the service and apologized profusely. She's a sweetheart and felt really bad. Since then, I've stuck with just bikini waxes, but I don't hold anything against her. There are harsh bright lights which I'm sure is necessary, a cold aesthetic room (and I mean it's cold in the room) and a stern nurse who will explain what they plan on doing, execute the procedure and bid you adieux. And I've yet to find a location with accessible parking. I went in asking for a two inch trim and a blowout. The man who trimmed my hair, Bilal, took off more than six inches. I requested numerous times from the beginning of the appointment and throughout the appointment that I wanted only two inches and I was dead set on keeping my hair long. I repeated this constantly as I didn't want any misunderstandings and requested he not make any adjustments to my layers either as I was trying to grow them out. By the time I could even change anything about it, he had forced me out of my chair for his Instagram content and proceeded to take 6-8 inches off (I even have the video of it that he took for his Instagram content). I was so devastated by the fact I had emphasized so greatly to him and in front of the other staff how I only wanted two inches off, I am shocked and extremely furious with the negligence of the salon and realized that there are numerous other reviewers with similar stories on Yelp reviews. Please do not come to this salon because there is an incredible lack of consideration for anything customers request. I waited and the lady who is doing someone else's nail came over and put acetone on my dip, I waited for a while. I waited so long that the acetone dried up and the cotton stuck on my nails.....yea you can see how this is going. The other girl was done and at this time it's 6 freaking pm and I have an event at 6:30. I was already going to be late. She is recycling the pumice thing that is being rubbed on people's feet like NO WHY ARE YOU GUYS DOING THAT. That's so unsanitary - I'm cringing at this point ok. She uses this scrub which smelled so bad omg. And her gloves are all torn and ripped and I'm really crying at this point inside my head. She then uses a hot towel on my feet and the towel smells too - and it's not the good smell cause I had to stop breathing while she was flapping it. She also used an already open and used toe separator....will it get any better than this? There is no sense of urgency here at all. It was 6:40 and I was still there and none of my nails are painted. There was literally one other customer. No one wanted to do my nails. I asked for basic design with white stripes and the nail tech who did come forward stated she did not do designs and then began to speak to another tech to do my nails. There were 5 available techs going back and forth about the design and no one wanted to do it. I understand that every tech has different skills but their customer service was poor and beyond the design when I entered the salon there wasn't initiative to take me as a customer. They made me wait several minutes even after I stated what I wanted. The other times I been here I've never seen Black women customers so maybe they are only used to a certain demographic. It's just really unfortunate to me that every customer is not treated with the same level of care. I've attached a picture of the design I asked for as well.
