Absolutely Horrendous -- Avoid at All Costs If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is ridiculously overpriced for what tastes like freezer-burned disappointment. I decided to do an updated review of this place after trying their Philly cheesesteak and cheese pizza. (Previously, I always had the Barefoot Beach House's Cheeseburger in Paradise.) The cheesesteak and pizza both exceeded my expectations, and I would order them again (see photos below). Note that while the front (street side) of the Beach House (which sells coffee and ice cream) stays open late, the restaurant counter in the back (beach side) closes at around 3:00 pm. They have lots of cute little knickknacks and souvenirs for tourists as well as a large selection of ice creams. I went with the classic mint chocolate chip, and my mom had the pistachio. It's a typical food shack on the beach. They serve pizza, hot dog's, pretzels, chicken strips etc and everything is over-priced. Even down to the $2.50 bottle of water. When we first walked in it was a terrible smell in there. The workers where on their phone, we had to tell them to take my order because they didn't even offer help. Ice cream cones are $9 each after tax, don't expect anything great tho cause ice cream was still mediocre and the paper is glued onto the cones. Employees were not wearing gloves or masks. To be completely fair, the ice cream here was great. It was a nice treat to end the day, and I'm glad we went. That being said, I'll be visiting a different ice cream place if I ever find myself in Clearwater again, and that can be attributed to the lackluster customer service. We waited behind a family of 6 who was trying to place an order, and rather than being met with excitement by the store employees, they were met with sassy comments. The comments were not malicious in nature by any means, but the environment created by that dialogue made it tough to enjoy the experience. At the end of the day, it's a cafe. It's hard to screw up ice cream or coffee for most people, so the customer service can really make or break an experience in my opinion. With so many other options in a 3 block radius, I was a little surprised that guests weren't met with better service. read more

We tried the Barefoot Beach House last night and were disappointed. They don't really care about their customers from what we experienced. They are there to make money from the tourist, and customer service is not a priority... Because unlike locals, tourist are typically 1-time visitors. They have very limited options... Their smallest size ($3.99) includes two scoops. They have no kids size option... So with a 3 year old, we decided to split it... Which is fine, but is adding a kids size portion too much to ask? I stopped by to Barefoot Beach house during a hot beach day in Clearwater to get some food, they also sell souvenirs here and ice cream but also gear for swimming such a goggles and other items such a sun screen. The food was ok not to bad, the prices were average not to expensive but not that cheap. The food did take a long time it seems to come out but at least it was cooked right ( I ordered a burger). If you do need to buy goggles or other swimming supplies you should check this place out. read more

Ok so the guy working was so so nice which is why I thought to do a review. I just love when people have that kindness in their voice and ask thoughtful questions about what you need. The bun to my hotdog, however, was a little soggy whereas my friends was not.
