I was walking back from a dolphin tour and starving. The waitress warned they were only serving lunch. I asked for her recommendation and she suggested the cheesesteak sub. It was piping hot with melty cheese. The meat was clearly steak slices rather than shaved over dried questionable meat that is so often in these. The veggies were plentiful and well cooked. I wouldn't have expected the mushrooms but they worked. The fries were crinkle cut and just ok. The waitress was friendly. I noticed they were closing up yet she didn't bring me my bill until I was completely done. We had a breakfast at this restaurant two years ago. It was so great that even our picky toddler loved it. The inside was clean and cozy but a bit small especially the space between tables. But that's not a problem considering how lovely it looks. We had visited again today but we were late and the breakfast time passed according to the waitress. I insisted couple of times since some people may have brunch at noon. But they refused and I think I understand. We ordered cheese burger and tuna sandwich. Unfortunately I have to write this review because the service was the worst we've had in over a decade. The guy who served us was weird and only paid attention to my wife. He dumped my water all over the table and got it all over both of us. Never apologized for dumping the water on us! He said sorry for dumping the water on the table, but it was very insincere and matter of fact. Just wiped up the table and wiped my wife's seat. Didn't wipe my seat until I asked him to do so. Didn't even give us napkins to dry our clothes. Never offered anything for our trouble. Well since I arrived in Clearwater Beach driving all night long my long time friend recommended this place for breakfast since we arrived in the morning. He said it was the best and from what experience it was. They made the best Florentine eggs benedict. The spinach was fresh the eggs didn't taste stale in between the bread underneath the eggs benedict. The Belgium waffle was so so ok however I discovered coconut syrup which I never heard of usually when it comes to pancakes and waffles and that's what made the Belgian waffles better it's their proprietary condiment here. The server was responsive and happy. The hash browns was decent. I usually like my hash browns shredded than chunky cut thus 4 stars out of 5. Great breakfast spot near Pier 60! I'm a bit of a pancake snob and these were just incredible! You MUST get the chocolate chip pancakes with the coconut sauce on the side.
