Was driving through on my way to Wilmington and loved the charming vibe and friendly baristas! Took care of us like we were walking into their home. Loved the Southern and eclectic beach feel of the place. Excellent coffee. Cheers!

Excellent breakfast when you just like no frills and decent food. Three of us got pancakes and my…read morepecan pancakes with turkey sausage were fantastic. Took the waitress' advice and only got a single and I couldn't even finish it, while my 13 year old son managed to eat two giant chocolate chip pancakes and his side of bacon (where does it go??). Husband got an omelette and a biscuit and gravy and enjoyed all of it. They had a huge party of 12 in there which made it a little loud, but service was speedy still. We stopped on our way back from Myrtle Beach en route to Raleigh and it was a great choice! Nice and friendly!

The restaurant was m pretty packed on arrival. There was only 1 clean booth open. There was a large table but it needed to be cleaned. We opted to wait for the table to be cleaned due to us being a party of 5. We were seated around 11:55am and given paper menus and silverware. The menu was a little dirty as it had spots on it. Around 12:03pm, waitress took order. They didn't have a kids menu available for breakfast. Waitress said it was pancakes and fries or fruit, I believe... The kids menu for lunch items is on the menu already. I got the pancake and 2 tenders with a side of home fries. After ordering, I noticed the use paper/plastic bowls and plates for the food of customers who were already eating. I thought this was definitely different. However, it is easy clean up. The food came at 12:25pm. One of my pancakes was over cooked on one side.. however, the home fries were delicious. I ended up getting a second pancake because I thought my order came with two, but it worked out since my first one crappy. The 2nd pancake was nice and golden! With the plastic plates.. they gave me a plate with sections for my pancake... that's not very conducive to cutting and eating a pancake. This restaurant definitely gives me diner vibes. I can tell it's a popular small town place that is often frequented by the locals. The service, in my opinion, was a little slow especially as it was not as busy once we were sat. I think this could be due to being short staffed. If I'm ever in the area again, I would stop by again!

While they say they have gluten free options, its just the seasoning thats applied. The food options we chose were cooked well and had good flavor. AND the rolls that were brought out were like pillows of deliciousness. If they had used those rolls for their burger, my review would be much better. But overall I would return. Many have said it reminds them of an old pizza hut and they are correct. But its very clean inside.

It's gotta be the steaks that keep this place in business! Have you ever been to a potluck where…read moreyou didn't really know anyone, there wasn't much of any type of vibe, and there wasn't much of any sort of interior decorating that was interesting to look at even for a few seconds? Where you just kinda went, ate, and left without a sense of satisfaction? That's this place. I've lived in Etown for 7 1/2 years and I've probably been to Christopher's four times--long enough between each visit to forget why it's been so long since I've eaten here. I had the 12 oz Ribeye, which was sooooooo good!! Medium well with just enough seasoning that I forgot I asked the waitress to leave the A1!! The baked potato, however, was bland and dry, but maybe that's my fault and I should have asked for additional butter. And I don't know WHY that coleslaw had the funky flavor it had, but it certainly didn't excite my tastebuds the way coleslaw usually does! It tasted like cardboard. I should have listened to that little voice in my head telling me to get the fries! Like I said, the steak was bomb, but the rest was buns. In the future, I hope I don't say to myself, "Gee, I haven't eaten at Christopher's in so long, I have forgotten what it's like. I better find out." Nothing outstanding about the service, but nothing to gripe about either. The three employees we interacted with were nice.
