Our daughter and her friend were visiting for a few days so we went out for the sunset sail. It was only 2 days after Hurricane Milton so we weren't sure if Joel would take us out. He did and the 4 of us were his only passengers! It was a beautiful sail along Fort Myers Beach and we were able to see a few dolphins...unfortunately, they never stayed above water long enough for a picture. Joanne supplied us with beer, wine and hard seltzers as well as sodas and waters. It was a pleasure chatting with them and we were amazed to find out that Joel built the catamaran! We also saw so many birds -- a birder's dream! He also took us to North Captiva Island Club. And not just once but twice, we saw dolphins as we were heading out to sea and then again towards the end of the day when dolphins jumped our wake as we headed to Sanibel lighthouse. Got a few souvenirs. And the best part was when we saw dolphins, Paul knew how to maneuver the boat so the dolphins started jumping and swimming in our boats wake. 4-5 dolphins were literally jumping in the wake behind the boat 2 feet from us!!! The boat was comfortable and clean and stocked with ice in a large cooler for our drinks. We saw dolphins and a group of 5 manatees. We swam and went shelling on an island accessible only by boat. We stopped on Cabbage Key for lunch at Jimmy Buffet's restaurant. Our family consisted of 2 50 year old and our 21 and 23 year old children and their significant others. Everyone had a great time.
