Sorry but I wouldn't recommend this experience. There were some positive things: the staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. The musician was outstanding although his track music was wayyy too loud for any conversation. And on to the disappointments : first, they were out of all types of white wine, blaming the previous tour for wiping them out. And the dinner was awful. Literally FROZEN lettuce and tomatoes on a plate. Dinner was over cooked chicken, mushy sweet potatoes, green beans and black eyed peas. Also pulled pork which tasted old and rancid. Dessert was burned apple pie. It was only an additional $10 for the dinner, and you definitely get what you pay for. Also not a lot of outdoor spaces to enjoy. One and done for us! read more

Not worth the money. The mixed drinks were great!! The food not so good and definitely not worth 69 dollars. You got two choices chicken and prime rib no seasoning on the food it was cold served buffet style.You were served a scoop full of of both. The sides were white rice ,baked potato , salad and mixed vegetables all of this was put on 1 plate with only 1 choice of dressing .The servers and staff were nice. They did not ask what you preferred I had to explain that I did not eat beef products and asked for another plate.Let's just say I had to go get dinner after I left this so called dinner. I was so disappointed with this experience. The boat was rinky-dink, made in the 70's. The decor was dusty plastic flower arrangements and fake (unlit) candles, fold-out chairs and tables. We weren't even "served" dinner. We had to get up and get it ourselves from a buffet style set up and the food was cold and bland served on Styrofoam and plastic place settings. Beverage options were either sweet tea or water in a disposable plastic cup. This experience was definitely NOT WORTH the price per person. I will not be recommending this to anyone. The staff didn't even look professional. T-shirts and shorts. So upset I spent time and money booking this for a special occasion. I'm just in town for a week and I came across this on the net so I thought I'd give it a shot and it was a very enjoyable evening the crew crew is fantastic the food was great and entertainment was great so I would recommend this for anyone whether they're on there alone or if they're with their family or girlfriend or a wife to take this for an evening to enjoy and just relax and enjoy the crew is fantastic so go forward and enjoy yourselves read more

It was ok. People working were friendly. We felt sorry for the One person that was tasked with serving the whole room. He hustled and did his best. Impossible to hear beginning announcements over sound of bar ice crusher! Not clear on the drinks until after I paid 3 bucks for a Keurig coffee. Bartender told me then that only water and sweet tea was included. Many midwesterners like coffee with their meals and dessert. Food was ok (beef and chicken). Again all and all ok excursion. One other note: location was difficult to find especially after dark. First Uber gave up so that meant about 30 minutes of our life that we couldn't get back. read more

Definitely wouldn't recommend this "experience." The food and presentation were atrocious. Salad, Roasted chicken on the bone, white rice, green beans, corn, and some sort of meat stew. Desert was apple pie. Plastic silverware. The waiter came over before the cruise began and asked us what kind of dressing we wanted on the salad- and then came and handed us a little container of dressing to hang on to until the salad came out- I've never seen something like this in my life. The salad came out at the same time the buffet opened.. it was about 8 pieces of lettuce on a very small plate. The chicken was very dry, no seasoning, no dressing. The rice was clearly just box minute rice. The green beans and corn resembled exactly what they feed my elementary students in the cafeteria- boiled, mushy, no flavor. The stew was the best part according to my husband- only thing with flavor. The apple pie was clearly the only thing that was homemade. It was sweet- could have used some ice cream or something. ALL of the food came out immediately and left us just staring at each other for the remaining hour and a half. They took the food away so quickly we couldn't even go for seconds- not that we wanted to. Thankfully they were selling snacks- because the snickers bar got me through the rest of the cruise. The musician was great, he was funny and took requests. He gave us a few fun facts about the boat and the waterway, but I wouldn't say he narrated the whole cruise by any means. Boat was covered in spider webs on the back deck which is where we sat to pass the time. We got to see some nice houses along the waterway... but that's about as scenic as it got. Can't really hear the music from outside. Thankfully we were upstairs... but downstairs there was no live entertainment. Bathroom was fine. Wait staff was very kind and polite. My husband and I made the best of it, because that's what we do.. but if you're considering this cruise, I'm sure you can find something nicer. Buyer be warned. read more

We took the dinner cruise on 5/21/2021. First we were led to the upper deck for seating. When the food was ready we had to walk down stairs and carry our food upstairs. The food was chicken and pork with a mash potatoes and green beans and carrots. There was a salad too. The food had very little flavoring and they provided plastic fork and knife. We had a delightful time on the Barefoot Queen on 4/30/21. The food was pretty good, but the cruise down the Inner Waterway was so relaxing and enjoyable. The beautiful homes were amazing to see. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was live music and a bar for purchasing drinks. I am so glad we chose to do this during our week stay in North Myrtle Beach. read more

Loved the cruise on the Intercoastal Waterway. I recommend boarding early so you can get a good chair at the front of the boat. We were lucky enough to do that. Only negative is that they had a private party on the bottom enclosed area where most of the seating is and you couldn't go in that area. There is very limited seating on the outside areas and the second floor is where the bar and the tables for the dinner cruises are, so there is limited seating there. They let so many people on board that were not a part of the private party, that most people had to stand. I would recommend asking them when you buy tickets if there will be a private party on your cruise. read more

I would not book the dinner cruise again, the food was buffet style but not good! The cruise was not narrated as the booking description described and the cruise dragged on for too long - luckily I packed some playing cards in my purse. The crew was very friendly but this experience was not worth the price - we had to stop at a fast food place once the cruise was over. the shuttle bus was not air conditioned and full of exhaust fumes. read more

We've been on the River Boats in Pittsburgh a few times, so we thought this would be the same thing. We were wrong. It was similar, the scenery was way different, and the boat much smaller. Still, it was a good time. The staff was great. The scenery was more nature and some expensive homes along the river. Very nice. Peaceful. The food was not great, but as in Pittsburgh, you don't go for the food, you go for the cruise. That said, when we go again we are going to request a table that is not the last table to be called up. Once we got to the buffet, it was all picked over. Almost no salad, and only Italian dressing at that point, and the salt content was so high on that Italian dressing that we opted to skip it. There were a few rolls, the prime rib (I think that is what it was) had seen better days, and there was only a few pieces left. There were a few pieces of chicken left that was fairly good. The potatoes way under cooked. Again, from our past river boat experiences we were not going for the food. Still it could have been better. That and they did not start serving people until the boat pulled out, so by the time we got served the ride was half over. It left us little time to go out on the deck to enjoy the trip, or to go to the dance floor. In Pittsburg they would start serving before the boat pulled out, and the way they served they were able to get people through much quicker. Word to the wise, request a seat on the upper deck, that is where the entertainment and dance floor are. Though the boat was smaller than we expected, and the food was less than we expected, the trip was still good. We will go back, but we will request the second deck, and a table that's not the last to the buffet. As my wife said, it likely would have been a better meal had we not just had the scraps to pick from. read more

Well...wow. Paid WAYYYY too much money for this. The food had about as much flavor as what I feed to my 2 year old nephew. Had about the same texture too. The highlight (he says sarcastically) was music by a fella named Travis. While the music may cater to a certain demographic, it certainly didn't do it for my girlfriend and I. She ordered a gin and tonic and it was roughly 97.5% gin. The gin tasted cheap and didn't really do it for either of us. She ordered the strawberry daiquiri next and seemed to enjoy that more. She had ordered a vegetarian meal that was never brought out to her. I had even received a call earlier in the week to confirm that she needed a vegetarian meal. I ordered the port side punch, and that was actually pretty decent. I also ordered a whiskey sour but I got some sort of pink concoction that I'm not sure what it was. It didn't taste bad, just definitely not a whiskey sour. The most enjoyable part of the evening was standing outside on the front of the boat. The atmosphere out there was nice and the breeze felt great. The "sights" for the sight seeing cruise were very underwhelming. The food: crap. The music: crap. The "sights": crap.
