I send them a note to ask about it, and they didn't really seem to care about it. Told me if I remove the pipe and mail it back to them (at my cost) they will look into it, and repaint it. So I am supposed to have my sled "down" for a few weeks, while I remove the pipe, send it, wait, and then re-install. I basically wanted an exchange sent out so I would not be "down" for weeks during the snowmobiling season. If it were summertime, that would maybe work, but they don't seem to care about my down time. Oh well, I guess I will just show all my friends the pipe the way it is with the paint flaking off.

The owner, Ed, told me my resume was "right on top," and his son mentioned I was their top candidate out of 75 applicants. I was scheduled for an interview the very next day. What was supposed to be a brief meet-and-greet turned into a 45-minute conversation, during which Ed repeatedly emphasized how much his reputation matters. He described the role, pay range, and so-called "perks"--one of which included requiring all employees to sit and eat lunch with him every single day. He framed it as team bonding, but he also mentioned that even his own family members had requested privacy during breaks. It struck me--and reportedly others--as uncomfortable, overly controlling, and not the kind of company culture I'd want to join. After the interview, I sent a warm thank-you and followed up professionally via email and phone. I never received a response. On one follow-up call, another employee answered, and I overheard Ed in the background instructing them to say he'd "been sick for two weeks," rather than just speaking to me directly. I also called Ed's number myself, and the call was immediately sent to voicemail. This lack of transparency and avoidance felt immature and unprofessional. Despite expressing strong interest and following up respectfully, I was completely ghosted--no update, no rejection, no communication whatsoever. For someone who places so much emphasis on reputation, the experience painted a very different picture. The pay may be decent, but the absence of benefits, the rigid and intrusive lunch requirement, and the overall lack of professionalism are serious red flags. If this is how candidates are treated during the hiring process, I can't imagine it gets better once you're on staff. Job seekers--do your research and proceed with extreme caution.

Very glad I chose to go there as I got a great deal on a slightly used Hustler Raptor X. They are a small shop but have a decent selection of mowers in the showroom. They do not have sales staff so you speak directly with the owner (who is also the mechanic), and the parts counter person (they both know their stuff). They service what they sell and carry parts as well. Very happy with my purchase, and the great experience I had, highly recommend.

Since then, I've had nothing but issues. After the first snowfall, half of my driveway was left unplowed along with a 10ft area in front of my garage. Upon inquiry, he told me that if I wanted the entire driveway actually cleared, I'd be charged $15 more per service than the original $35 quoted. Since contract was signed and winter was halfway through, I reluctantly continued service. However since then, snow plow "service" hasn't even happened until 36+ hours after snowfall. At this point, my driveway is so packed down with snow and ice from us driving over the several inches of snow, it will be a nightmare the remainder of the winter. All of my neighbors with snowplow services have their driveways plowed within 12 hours of snowfall, I'm actually quite embarrassed. I would never recommend Quinton and his company as good customer service is not a priority.

Over the years we have purchased 4 riding mower and chain saw from Boyd's. Have a some repair work…read moredone previously. However, in the last week, our son took one of the mowers that we had purchased there in to get analyzed for blades not engaging. Service slip stated to check out and to call before doing any work. There was a throttle cable replaced without authorization and then stated maybe the carburetor needed to be replaced. Son had already put on a new carburetor. Asked if the original problem had been checked out - No, blades still didn't engage. The mower was returned with the new throttle cable removed, a new hole in the deck for some reason and a swing arm on the mower broken. And - no answer to mower problem. We will no longer be doing any business at Boyd's.
