This is a verifiable hole in the wall. The whole establishment is a handful of tables inside next to a coffee machine and a row of pastries. Not much going on. I walked past it several times before finally giving in to my desire for the cheery Danish in the window: amazing. The cheese and cherries we're perfectly balanced and the pastry dough was more substantial than the average Danish which I liked. Okay, I thought, they make good pastry.
It was only a couple weeks later when I discovered the true gem in this place. It's the empanadas. They make amazing empanadas. And suddenly the strange Argentinian posters on the wall made sense. I was looking for a quick bite and knew my husband liked empanadas, put that into the internet and Time Out Sydney led me down the street from my house to here. Incredible.
So yes, the coffee is mediocre but the empanadas are worth the visit and don't rule out their pastries. read more
