She was absolutely incredible and too great care of us. Since it was our first time, she did a mini tasting of the best that Baris had to offer. We were blown away. This is the second time we have been here (moved to the area about two years ago), and the food here is really solid. The service staff is very attentive to your needs, helps with what is on the menu, and keeps you posted when the food will be ready. We ordered these huge rolls with some marinara sauce for appetizers - these things are huge, hot, and fresh yeast rolls with some herbs. So good. We ordered two large pizzas with sausage, pepperoni, and black olives. Very good pizza, and we had tons to take home in a box. The atmosphere is pretty generic but very clean with some nice touches. The service was really good. I food was ok but nothing special. The pink sauce was underwhelming in flavor. I wish it had been spiced a bit more. One of our party ordered lasagna and said it was amazing. We sat in a booth close to the tv, which was not a problem until the kitchen area turned up the music in that area. I was skeptical to try it, given the recent reviews, but they seem to have taken the feedback seriously. I was greeted right when I came in and was served promptly. They checked up on me many times throughout. There was a birthday party in the other room, but I was the only one in the main area at 12:40 on a Saturday. The food didn't explain the lack of customers... it was delicious! My baked cheese tortellini was hot and wonderfully cheesy. They didn't have caesar dressing (which disappointed me as that's primarily all I eat) so I decided to try their house dressing, a tomato vinaigrette... also great. The salad itself was fresh. My boyfriend and I have come here many times and we have always been pleased with the food and service. Fast forward to the most recent experience... not so much. We both have worked service industry, so have a pretty high spectrum of patience, but this was ridiculous. Here's my 'Diner Beware' story and experience: Bari's let's you seat yourself. We chose a table, Sat and patiently waited- no problem. We don't mind waiting, but no one even acknowledged us or said they would be with us momentarily. Nothing. Someone didn't come till 10 minutes later and when she finally did, she asked if we wanted to start with any apps. As a server, you need to be aware of what's on the table and your guest's timeline. If she would've looked, she could've easily seen that we didn't have any drinks or menus. We had not been greeted at all. So we didn't have any menus and there wasn't a QR code provided on the table. She just said, oh yeah and left for another 10 minutes. The place isn't huge. From where we sat, we can see the front desk, the soda station and the rest of the main dining room. I don't know what I was watching. One girl was taking an order of another table, while another one was at the front desk, was yelling her name across the way as this same poor girl was trying to take an order. Then she stops taking the order of this table and goes to the front. Our waitress is just pressing buttons on the cash register, and another is eating tiramisu by the soda station. No one ever came back with the menus. Another 10 minutes passed. So, attached is a picture of the placemat, because that's all we got. We needed up leaving and wasting a lot of time giving the benefit of the doubt. We are all for supporting local, but this was truly ridiculous. Let me start by saying that there is no such thing as great pizza in Pflugerville. I never really thought about trying Baris but after refusing to go many times, finally decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. There's a family feel to the restaurant. Like the kind of place you go after football games in a small town. Service can use some work but it still feels welcoming. The mozzarella sticks and the garlic bread are musts. The pizza is not amazing but it beats all the chains around. I've also never eaten such huge amounts of food for so little money, so there's that. read more

The waitress was very sweet, but a little confused when it came to items on the menu. She also almost accidentally gave us someone else's order lol. We ordered the fried cheese ravioli, it was ok. The crust wasn't too thick, and the cheese filing was good but missed a little more taste/seasoning. And for the "entree" We ordered a whole cheese pizza for the kids. It was good (Aka mid) considering it didn't come with toppings. It kind of left your pallet with a weird taste. I may be a wee bit biased since I have had the pleasure of enjoying Baris authentic hot made to order Italian cuisine since way back when. It is hands way up my family's favorite Italian restaurant to eat at. We don't live near the restaurant but the fresh garlic bread and spinach & artichoke dip alone is worth every mile The owner is usually always present and loves to greet customers as if she's known you forever. A friend and I came in on a Monday evening for dinner at his recommendation. He had the chicken with capers and I had the chicken parmesan. The food itself was above average. The marinara sauce is very good and the garlic knots/rolls are first rate. Our server, though, seemed very confused and new to the job. In fact, she forgot to turn in our order. I benchmarked my expectations for this restaurant on the Waco location, so they were sky high. Upon entering, I noticed something was different. It was well lit, newer, and was staffed by mostly high schoolers, but the menu was a perfect reflection of the original. To start, I tried the tossed salad - chopped iceberg with side of dressing. Not really tossed then. The house dressing was great, like a marinara California French. For dinner, I decided to try the calzone this time because it looked great at the other location. My excitement soon deflated as I cut into the golden pocket of cheese and sausage to find the center still cold. The high point of the meal were the rolls, garlic and butter saturated. I will not be going back to this location, but will certainly try the one in Waco again. If you do try this one, I recommend a baked pasta dish. read more

I had to try this location after being blown away by the one in Waco! Two things I noticed right away: 1. this location seems to be newer and cleaner 2. this location is completely run by teens. Excited to try, my husband and I placed our orders: I had the tossed salad with house dressing, dinner rolls and the Chicken Diablo, which our waiter confirmed would be covered with cheese. *Side note: I take cheese pretty seriously, so if you say it's cheesy, you have just made my evening, heightened my expectations, and made my decision on what I'll have, easier.* We received our rolls and salads first, and were not disappointed. Definitely go with the house dressing! Next came the entrees. The first thing I noticed about my order was the lack of cheese... noooo!! Too hangry to turn back now, I was handed the Parmesan shaker and proceeded (sunken heart and all). The Chicken Diablo was decent: tender chicken breast and penne pasta swimming in a mild marinara sauce. It was filling, but not satisfying. We also ordered the tiramisu for dessert-- my husband enjoyed it. There was constant loud chatter coming from the kitchen and checkout counter, where most of the staff congregated. Two loud, unshielded sneezes came from the kitchen, to which the staff in the front of the house yelled, "bless you!!" Nice, but eeew... and that was right around the time my husband sent back his cold plate of food to be warmed up. This was by far the biggest let down I've had in Austin area so far. We moved about two blocks away from here and were excited to try this Italian spot out. Reviews seemed solid and the prices were very inexpensive. Unfortunately you get what you pay for. I don't think this restaurant knows what salt is much less any other seasoning. This is the blandest food I've tasted. The meatballs were cooked fine, everything else not so much. No taste, the marinara sauce was clearly store bought. Even then I think store bought marinara sauce is better than what they gave us. The rolls seemed like they were going to be good and were tasteless. The pasta was buttery and by far the worst I've had. There was absolutely no taste in the sauce. We had to season it at home. How do you mess up chicken Alfredo? The chicken's rubbery texture felt like it had been boiled and again, no flavor. If no seasoning and bland food is your taste pallet then this is your spot. If not, please move on. The fried mushrooms were so bad. The batter was soft and not fully cooked. The mushrooms were so chewy. It got the the point where we just had to remove the batter so we could at least eat mushrooms. Ok... I've had good experiences here in the past and that's obvious with my prior review, however, yesterday I wasn't as fortunate. I ordered chicken fettuccine alfredo and garlic bread with cheese and tomatoes to-go. I arrived quite early so after paying they offered to bring my order to me once it was ready. I appreciated that so I walked out to my car which was parked right in front of the establishment and waited. A few minutes passed and through the door I noticed the server at the counter gathering a package. As she turned and headed to the door she dropped everything she had in her hands on the floor. I watched her pick them up, take them to the counter and quickly repackage it. Shortly thereafter she was at my window with a plastic bag. I asked her if my food fell on the floor to which she replied "no" and that the package just broke. Figuring she must have ensured my entree was secure and ok, I accepted the bag without inspecting it first and drove home (my bad). Well as I arrive home I find that the brown bag which is holding the pasta and dinner roll is filled with alfredo sauce at the bottom because the aluminum tin is dented and the package is open from its fall on to the floor. Also since the roll is simply placed in the same bag with no wrapping it's soggy with alfredo sauce. I immediately called to speak with a manager and I was informed she was not in, however, I spoke with a young man who apologized profusely and offered to remake the order. I wasn't not in a position to head back out so they took my name to remake the dish for me at another time convenient to me. Although this was one unfortunate occurance I appreciate that they tried to rectifying the situation. Despite my alfredo lacking some of its lost sauce it was still tasty although I didn't eat the roll. The garlic bread with cheese and tomato was packaged separately and was delicious. Not only is the food PHENOMENAL, but the prices are fair, the ambiance feels like you took a flight to New York City, and Tony and Cheryl the owners are wonderful people. Great rendition of New York style pizza in Pflugerville. I've been in Pflugerville for over a decade always drove by and decided to try it. Structured process when it comes to curbside pick up, call the restaurant when you get there, and the employees will bring your food out to you. Both style of pizzas are great, the best of the bunch is the cheese and pepperoni. The pepperoni is fresh the cheese is great and overall great taste.You can taste the cheese and the crust is crispy and fluffy. The spinach and artichoke pizza has a great veggie taste. The garlic rolls are delicious, but any of the main dishes are lacking in flavor and freshness. The chicken, whether in pasta or salad, has no seasoning and honestly appears to be pre-cooked frozen strips bought in bulk. The alfredo sauce is watery and tasteless across dishes.
