I cannot say enough great things about Beth. This is the only review I've ever written, but that's how important I think she is! Not only is she dependable, flexible, and kind, she truly cares about the animals she takes care of. One day when I was stuck at work all day, she was scheduled to walk my dog Winston. When walking him, she noticed he was having trouble going to the bathroom and appeared to be in pain. She immediately left me a message, and while waiting to hear back from me, was so worried that, completely of her own volition and regardless of her already packed schedule, she checked back on Winston 3 times! Unfortunately, I didn't get her message for a few hours and I can tell you that by the sound of her voice, she was truly worried and really cares for Winston. When she didn't hear back from me immediately, she called the vet and arranged for treatment. When I wasn't able to leave work ASAP, she volunteered to drive my dog to the vet herself. Everything worked out well (Winston had a UTI and is all better) but I cannot express how grateful I am to her! She went so far above and beyond for Winston and me! I trust her completely and know that Winston is in great hands when I am at work. Additionally, I want to mention, she is so flexible with her schedule that any last minute changes that come up, she is always willing to accommodate. She also is very knowledgeable about dog training and obedience, and has taught us a few things. There are many dogs in my area that walk with her, so I know I'm not the only person who feels so strongly about Beth! read more

I LOVE the way Beth pretends to be working with the dog but she's really training the owner. It's almost as if Beth and my dog had a secret code to see if they could get me to do what she wanted. The focus is on the priority behaviors, breaking each desired behavior into tiny chunks so that it's not overwhelming for either the owner or the dog. Since each piece is small, it doesn't take long to feel some success. Her demeanor with both dog and owner is calm, logical, sweet. Her approach is 100% rational and based on positive behavior change - no punishment. Putting your dog in situations where you can predict success. I've worked with Beth off and on in the last year (refreshers) and the bond she has built with my dog (and me) is remarkable. Going on 5 years of having Beth and her terrific walkers and trainers take care of my dog Luna, a very active Retriever/Pyrenees mix. She gets walked every afternoon, Monday thru Friday, snow or rain, and she so looks forward to it that on the weekends, Luna lays by the back door, waiting for her walk. I hesitate to write this b/c I'm not sure I'd believe it if I read it in a review, but they've never once let me down in any way - never once late, never one time did they not show or give any less than 100% of what was agreed-to. And I've asked for way beyond just the M--F walks - they've done training sessions w/me and also just with Luna, they also take care of my cat, Rosie, just anything that needs to get done, I wish every business I work with were this responsible and devoted to customer service. Beth and Greg are our pup's favorite people. Everything about Urban Animal Kingdom is professional, from the intake meeting to communication after every visit. Beth even helped us set up a weekly play date with another neighbor pup to give the dogs both exercise and socialization. I appreciate that they are willing to do both regular visits and short-term needs--perfect for the intermittent occasions when we need another human to let the fur baby out. I know Beth seeks out ongoing education to make her and her team even more skilled in managing pups of various temperaments and needs. They have a portal that makes scheduling, payment, and communication super convenient. Greg even sends me a message with photos every week after his visit--brightens my day at work! read more

We were fortunate to find Beth and Urban Animal Kingdom and have them in our life taking care of my 5 year old golden retriever over a year ago. 2 times a week every week Sagar is treated to a nice long walk or time at the dog park and I get to have a night off because when I get home from work he is all tired out from his afternoon of play and exercise. Beth and her crew are fabulous, they are very attentive to Sagar and treating him as if he was there own. Urban Animal Kingdom took excellent care of our cats while we were on vacation! Before we left, they spent time in our home reviewing each pets needs very thoroughly, asked great questions and took excellent notes. Once we were on vacation, they provided updates after each visit through a portal we could log in and review - they even took photos of our little fur babies and shared them with us. They provided me with great peace of mind as well - which isn't an easy task! I couldn't recommend them enough - my animals were in great care and the staff was incredibly wonderful. Leaving our fur kids in their hands gives me peace of mind.... Now I can look forward to vacations again!!! read more

Urban Animal Kingdom was approved by my apartment complex to have access to the building to walk dogs. So I gave it a try. To get started Beth came over to met us and discuss what the services were and what to expect. After that I was more than pleased and my dog was happy,happy. Danielle was our walker. She came each scheduled day and around the same time. Some days my dog and her walked with other dogs and others it was just my dog. Danielle left a little note after each walk sharing variety of their walks, my dog's enjoyment and any other information she felt I should know. I would have continued but I bought a home in Blaine which is out of service area. Highly recommend! read more

We are so happy with Urban Animal Kingdom...and so is our dog! Beth and her team know and love dogs and it shows in how they work with them. Theo, our German Shepherd, loves his walks and looks so happy and content while on his walks and when he gets home. We love getting reports and a photo of each walk. I like that UAK offers training while on walks, as well as in-home training to train me! Maria, who walks and trains Theo, knows how to "speak dog" and has been great in teaching me that language. Beth, Maria and the other team members are reliable and a pleasure to work with. They are important parts of our dog's family! I absolutely recommend them. read more

Beth and her staff are very professional. I have an unusual work schedule and they always made it work to come and visit my dog. They are timely, kind to my dog and great communicators. My dog is shy and has never had a pet sitter. The team at UAK is so understanding and so good with her-I immediately felt at ease and trusted them to have her best interests in mind. You get great communication and regular updates. Reservations and payment couldn't be easier. Then to put them over the top in service - my flight was cancelled on a work trip and they re-arranged their schedules at the last minute to stay overnight when I couldn't get home. Beth and her team are extremely professional and super attentive to detail. My usual dog/house sitter cancelled several days before a month long trip overseas. I was distraught!
