I love the staff here at Dogtopia-they are so friendly, and they obviously love dogs-it's apparent by the way they interact with them. They do fun little activities like blowing bubbles and drawing on the floor that keep the dogs interest. My mutt enjoys playing here, even if she is slightly antisocial and prefers to watch all the other dogs run around. From 12-2 each day, my productivity increases, as the webcams are shut off for nap time. But don't you worry, I'm ready at 2:00 to log back in and see the little pups rubbing their eyes and getting back to play.

I took my mutt there earlier this week for a groom and he came home looking fresh and clean. He didn't say much about his experience, but he never does. ;-) My dog is very anxious, so the loud barking of all the boarded dogs doesn't make him super happy, but that's to be expected. If you have a similar pup, keep that in mind. They were easy to get in to, with only a couple days' notice for an appointment. The customer portal is also nice which allows you to upload vaccination records, etc.

At the end of that appt they charged us $322 and told us it would be another $665 at the time of neuter. That is ridiculous they don't give a fee estimate up front. I was able to call Stone Ridge Veterinary clinic and they quoted MUCH less and they were able to quote an estimate BEFORE making me pay a dime. I realize the cost might change a little after they see him, but I doubt it will be over $900. They did allow us to cancel the bloodwork but we still had to pay $68 for an "exam" to be told the total neuter package would be over $900. Bad business and we told them we would be taking all our dogs to a different vet. They were indifferent.

I just wrapped up a 6-week training program with Dogtown's head trainer, Makenzie and had such an…read moreamazing experience. I have a timid, sometimes reactive and aggressive dog, who needed a lot of help with training. After an hour consultation with Makenzie, we decided to do three day & train sessions where my dog would go to their facility for a half day of training one on one with Makenzie, three at home 1:1 sessions in my dog's natural environment, and three hour long group classes. The amount that I learned in these 6 weeks was absolutely mind blowing. Training your dog is about practice and consistency, and speaking your dog's language, and Dogtown gave me the confidence and the knowledge to be able to train my dog on my own. The day & train opportunities were a wonderful way to start. Makenzie would train my dog 1:1 and then would send me videos about everything they worked on during their sessions. When I came to pick her up, Makenzie would show me what they worked on and how I could practice it at home. The training sessions in my own home were incredibly helpful as well. It gave me time to practice with my dog(s) in their natural environment and refreshers on what we had already learned, and building upon the skills she was learning. The group sessions were amazing for my dog, and any dog, to have an opportunity to practice in a new, overstimulating environment with other dogs that she doesn't know. Since she is apprehensive around other dogs, this was amazing practice for her. On top of everything else, the team is so friendly and kind, and the trainers are so knowledgable. I had the chance to take a group class with their trainer Maren and she was wonderful as well. Thank you to the team for teaching both me and my dog the skills to be better trained.

Luckily, we worked through 4 sessions with Steven Myers and I'm fairly convinced he could train Cerberus given enough patience and owner effort. He listened to my specific concerns (biting, barking, using the house as a port-a-potty) and addressed each one through training - training of both myself and the new dog. With his training and following "homework" training at home, my little guy has gone from violating most of the Geneva Convention to being a happy gentleman. I cannot recommend the Canine Mind enough, and if the other trainers are even in the same ballpark as Steven, then all of them will do absolute wonders for any dog!

We chose this place because they assured they could pick up our dogs on Memorial Day....twice…read more Tried to pick the dogs up on Memorial Day and they were closed and no one picked up the phone. We picked them up the day after and our dogs were covered in feces and one of them had a large amount of blood in their stool when we took them home. Truly awful experience. Edit: Just realized they also forgot to give us back our pets' medication and food. Luckily, we "only" live 30 minutes away. Wonderful place. Truly.
