Ken is the best! I've been to other groomers and he always does the best job: a clean and even cut. Our dog has allergies so she's very sensitive. He uses gentle shampoos so that's one thing we really like about his services. Our dog also has ear infections constantly and he always does a good job of cleaning her ears and trimming the hair around them (which can get pretty crusty). The best part is that he's in a mobile grooming-truck, he parks in front of our apartment, all we have to do is walk our dog out the door, and he brings her back looking great. Hands down Ken is the best groomer... EVER!! I found Ken after leaving my dog at Southpark Doggie Daycare for a couple days. If you've ever left your pet at a daycare, they come back stinky. So I had her groomed right before I picked her up, and she looked perfect! I've had problems before with other groomers, they just didn't know how to cut her face right even though I would try and explain what I wanted, but Ken does an amazing job and really listens to what you want. So I started taking her to Ken once a month while he was at Southpark. Now Southpark was not convenient to my place, although I lived in DTLA it was on the opposite side of where I lived with many other groomers in between. But Ken always delivers, so I just kept going. Recently, Ken left Southpark and started his own mobile pet spa, which is even better! Still the great quality of grooming, but mobile and way more convenient. I also like the fact he doesn't add the bandanas or ribbons, I personally think they are pointless (just saying), but I'm sure he has them if you're all about them. I knew from that moment that Ken was experienced and had a special gift with handling dogs. He asked me a few questions and said "ok, don't worry i'll take very good care of her" and that he did! Since, I've been going to Ken for 2 years, and NOW Ken has his own Mobile Pet Spa and drives to me. When I first rescued my dog it was difficult for me to groom her because she's about 68 lbs. At first when I tried to get an appt there was a couple missed connections, but I kept trying, making sure I was calling at least 48hrs in advance. And then BOOM! one day it happened, The Barkhaus mobile rolled up...and I don't think I'll ever take my dog anywhere else (if I don't have too). Ken is professional, punctual, and efficient. I immediately liked his disposition and his demeanor towards William. The state of the art Van which he operates from is always spotless. My dog comes back clean, soft not overly fragrant. Also I really appreciate how Ken checks & reports about anything out of the ordinary like ear infections, fleas, etc. It means he cares, which makes him priceless! My dog loves the treats ken gives him after the service too! I really hope he's my groomer for a long time. PS For those who are giving bad reviews because they want a same day appt...
