Communication goes a long way! Brought my yorkie to get cut by Brianna and she's cool and professional But the girls she has working with her are so unprofessional and rude. I dropped off my yorkie at 11am and had to call for an update around 4pm which I was rudely told he would be ready at 4:45 so I show up at that time and was told 20 more minutes. Meanwhile the staff is just sitting around doing nothing and she could have gave me a courteous call that he was running late. When I mention it to her she gives me an attitude. The place is super hot inside with no AC. I will not bringing my dog back to this place ever again. I hope the staff here improves and learns some customer service skills cause they are terrible and very unprofessional. read more

I loveeeeee this place. They are so good to my Reese. She has been going to them since we got her as a pup. She is now 8years old. The thing is . I see the reviews and I wonder if the ones who complained told them what exactly they wanted? Or if they listened to the groomers advice on what would work or not. As dog parents we know how our pets are. So if you know they don't like baths or grooming expect that they will we be in distress. Not because of the groomer. But that it is stressful on some dogs. didn't like it my groomer brianna she was rude when it came to my dog he would always come back with cuts on himself and extremely shaky and crying when I would drop him off there one time I received a phone call while I was on school and it was the hair groomer saying that they refused to cut my dogs hair because they claimed he was too old. I went to another dog parlor it's called the pink puppy. I've loved that place. My dog is always welcomed there and they give really good packages and they know how to do a really great service and they've never had any complaints about my dog being bad or crying or having extreme anxiety. They've treated him very well and I really do recommend the pink puppy but this place multiple times has upsetting me and if you care about your dogs, I think it's important to make sure that you have a good groomer read more

Decided to try a new grooming spot, as my usual one was fully booked, and I was not satisfied. They did have a same day appointment which I appreciated, however when I went staff did not ask what I would like as a new customer. I picked up my dog and she did not smell dirty anymore but she also did not smell clean. She did not get a cut or trim at all. To be honest i'm not sure what they did besides wash her. read more

I was pretty skeptical seeing the reviews on here but I was in a hurry to get my dog groomed so I took a chance. The service was great and their prices are reasonable. The first time I went in, I told them that I didn't want to shave my pom and just wanted to clean up the hair under his belly and tail area. The groomer did as I told them to and it was only $30 for nail trimming, anal glands, bath, and cut. The second time I went cost me $40 but that's understandable. I asked for a trim for his whole body so it probably took more work. They did trimmed him a little shorter than I wanted but that's my fault because I wasn't specific on the length. Overall a good experience for me I'm so happy they didn't shave my dog, because my last groomer did without telling me. read more

Normally we take our Akita German Shepherd mix to Petco, but never again after taking our buddy here! At Petco, I pay for the large dog bath, and a full de-sheddings Usually when I pick him up from Petco, after about an hour or two, he is still shedding a lot and the hair just falls off of him way worse than before I had dropped him off and his nails are never clipped because it makes him uncomfortable. The girls there always had complaints about him so I just assumed he was a difficult dog and apologized every time. And after they cancelled my appointment twice the day of after waiting months for our appointment I decided to try a new place. And they did amazing! I picked him up after 3 hours (they said it would take 4 due to air drying if he doesn't like the blow dryer which I was fine with), and he looks great!! No loose fur falling off of him, ALL of his nails were clipped, something my dog never lets me do, and he smells great and came home with a cute little bandana! It was also 50% cheaper than taking him to petco, like $75 cheaper! The guy who groomed him, was very nice and said that Honcho did great and had no problems, didn't mind getting clipped, and was very calm, which is the opposite of what the girls at petco would tell me. read more

First time taking my puppy here. I liked the fact that they asked me to bring my puppy's shot records to her first visit to make sure she had her vaccinations before bringing her to a place where other dogs will be. . That goes to show that they care about the dogs. I made sure to tell them I didn't want her hair to be shaved down. They did exactly as I asked, she was trimmed to perfection and she smelled so good ! I don't know what type of shampoo they used but it smelled wonderful and made her hair soft. Took my dog to get groomed here and the first time was great no issues. The second time they returned his leash to me in two pieces because they said he chewed it in the kennel. WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU PUT A DOG IN A KENNEL WITH A LEASH ON. I don't care about the leash that's the least of my problems but it is incredibly dangerous. he could have choked or could have eaten a major part of the leash and that would have been a whole other mess. Here I sit in my car outside my dogs vet so very upset and worried about my dog. His normal groomer hasn't been available during COVID-19 and I took him to the Barking Lot about 5 weeks ago. He was there for 7.5 hours. I made an appt with one person but she had to leave so another groomer took over. I specifically asked for his anal glands to be expressed (Shih Tzu) and they assured me they would do this. The reason for the emergency visit to the vet today is because Jackson has been bleeding from his anus after bowel movements. I was just informed by the vet that his anal glands were absolutely packed, which caused an abscess. They have to give him an antibiotic shot, pain medication and put him in a cone for two weeks. To top it all off, we are moving to another state next week. DO NOT trust the Barking Lot with your beloved pets. Believe all of the bad Yelp reviews. I am beyond upset that they caused all of this for my sweet dog. Not to mention the financial hardship during our move. read more

At first, I looked at the reviews and believed this place would be great to take my puppy. We normally take him to Carter's considering they do a better job but our groomer was booked and he was matted so we needed to get him groomed asap. At first when I got him he was crying to come to me and normally he doesn't cry when we pick him up from the groomers but I didn't think much of it. After bringing him home, we noticed his eyelashes were cut off badly and one of his eyes were irritated. Days later, he's been scratching a lot more than normally and has a lot of bumps which seem like razor bumps or something from being irritated. I don't recommend this place considering our dog seems way different now than when we got him. Not sure what they did to him over the timespan of having him. Topping it off they charged $75 when normally we pay $50 and get better service. read more

We took our husky and pitbull mix in for a 3pm appointment.I have to say the girl that took them was awesome!I was nervous because our husky hates bathes and was shedding super bad and my pitbull gets defensive when she sees the husky get nervous but she says they both did great and they both came out looking so good!We've never seen our husky look so well groomed before and it was nice to find a place that does an amazing job with the deshedding!You can tell she really took her time and we very much appreciate it.the bandanas she put on them we're so precious too! First timer here. On the site it said they open at 8:30. We showed up 10 minz early to our appt that was scheduled at 9 on a Saturday morning. Doors still locked. When I peep in I notice a lady saw me knocking. She look up ignored me. Just went on her morning continue being on her phone. After a multiple knocks another lady came open the door. How demeanor says it all. My puppy would not let me go. Like he was trying to tell me something. When I left I notice a lot of other clients was walking in with their dogs. Looks to me they over booked themselves. Well to make the story short not even 1hr in they called me to come get my dog due to him not cooperating. They told me my dog been showered and blown dry. My daughter came to pick him up due to short notice. My daughter told me the lady gave him to her soak in wet. When they told me on the phone differently. My daughter told me the lady was rushing and being super rude. Not only that he was shaking and you can tell he's been crying. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! read more

If I could give this establishment 10 stars, i would! I have entrusted Barking Lot with Brownie's grooming needs since his rescue 9 years ago. Being a rescue he suffers from anxiety and never has liked grooming. The girls not only deal with him barking while crated (due to his separation anxiety) but also know how to handle him despite having hip dysplasia. Poodles require lots of attention and with his history they always go above and beyond to clean up his paws and ears to avoid fox tails and infections. I can't say enough good things and I don't know how I will ever repay them for their awesome work. Keep up the great work girls! Brownie and I will see you soon. read more

This was my Pups 2nd time here and although I didn't care too much for her VERY first cut here this experience made me so happy the ldy even CALLED me to ask about how short I wanted my pup and confirmed she would even take more off if needed when I got there to get my dg I so appreciated the consideration she had to even CALL ME!!! That small gesture meant solo much to me my Puppy is soo afraid of her nails being cut/trimmed but this is the ONLY place that does it effortlessly se cam back to me HERSELF only cuter but still HAPPY!!!
