That being said, there seems to have been extensive office turnover in the last few months and not for the better in my opinion. It seems like the new dental techs are now also trying to run the front office and it just isn't working. On top of all that, Dr Graf has also brought on a second dentist who's chairside manner could use some improvement; he seemed very "pushy" and I just didn't think much of it. Any future work will be with Dr Graf or not at all. I'm very disappointed because last year I would have given them 5 stars in all areas. I'll give them another try in a couple of months and hopefully, things will have improved by then. If not, I'll be looking for a new dentist.

First: I have what's sometimes called a "gummy smile." The orthodontist strongly pushed a cosmetic laser procedure to remove gum tissue. I initially considered it, but after discussing it with my dad, I realized I didn't want a cosmetic procedure, especially for something that wasn't medically necessary and wasn't something that aesthetically bothered me. When I told the orthodontist that I didn't want the surgery, I was told, *"It's not up to you,"* along with a glare. Being told as a child that I had no say in whether a cosmetic medical procedure would be done to my body was extremely distressing and it's a vivid memory to this day. Now that I'm an adult, I've never had a single medical issue related to my gums, which reinforces that it truly wasn't necessary. Second, and the issue that still bothers me the most: My canines were shaved down without my knowledge or consent. At the time, the orthodontist told me he was simply removing extra glue. Later I realized he had actually reshaped my canines, removing a distinctive feature of my smile that I really loved. I was never asked about this beforehand, and it was only apparent after the procedure had already been done. As an adult, those teeth are also more sensitive than they used to be. Parents, if you bring your kids here, please pay very close attention to what procedures are being done and make sure everything is clearly explained beforehand. Patients, especially younger ones, deserve to be informed and have their concerns respected! If shaving down my teeth to change their look was necessary for my bite, that should have been something discussed with me instead of a mumbled "just tidying things up" while the drill is going. The only real way to fix what happened would be cosmetic reconstruction of the teeth, which would cost hundreds of dollars. Unfortunately, that's not something I expect this office will take responsibility for.

I ended up needing a Crown. Dr. Garner's office is so up to date with state of the art equipment the Crown was made in her clinic, perfect match in color and fit and has been the best thing I had ever heard of a DDS offering this service. No more of the improperly lab created "sent out" molds with incorrect fitting and multiple trips back and forth. I highly recommend Dr. Gina Garner. I am sticking around.

Dr. Garner had no problem calling out the "big guns" to relieve my stress. 2 @ .25 mg Halcion plus laughing gas. It felt like the procedure lasted less than 15 minutes from time to start drilling to last root cavity cleaned out. Almost no pain, a bit of pressure at end on actual root canal, but only for a few seconds. Great bedside manner, recognizes some of us are just better off if we're a bit medicated. Dr says he needs crowns on all his teeth and he needs to be put to sleep. I know a lot of dentist overcharge adults but I didn't expect the insurance scam to be ran on children also. I don't know if Jamboree got the X-rays mixed up or if the Dr just wants more insurance money so they can get more flat screen TVs for the office.... This place is a scam.
