I just got a rescue a few months ago and she needed to be groomed badly. I needed a place where I…read morecould get in rather quickly. A friend recommended this place. My dog is skittish so I wasn't sure how her first ever grooming would go. Let's just say I am beyond happy! They far exceeded my expectations! I was able to get Phoebe in quickly. I waited less than 2 weeks to get her in. Her hair was very long and was becoming very matted from baths. I couldn't believe my eyes when I picked her up! It took 4 hours because of the work ahead. They have a system that just texts you when your dog is ready to be picked up. My dog looked absolutely gorgeous! The work that Jerrica did was top-notch. Phoebe looks like she's pageant ready! Haha! I highly recommend Dapper Dog. It was very affordable and they were clearly good with my dog because she didn't really want to leave when I picked her up! She loves it already which is so comforting. FYI they take cards there and you can tip on the credit card as well.

After the original owners of Puppy Love chose to retire and sell their business, everything…read morechanged, and none of it for the better. A horrific experience with the new ownership that required a visit to my veterinarian after a week-long stay traumatized my little lady, and I chose to never use them again. That is until the (2nd) owner chose to sell the business to Graham and Kathleen - the newest owners of Puppy Love Playcare. Similar to the original owners, Kathleen and Graham also live on site. After learning of the new change in ownership, I chose to give them a call and spoke with Kathleen for quite some time. Kathleen was forthcoming and answered all of my questions. I then decided to give Puppy Love another try and am so thankful that I took the chance! My little old lady was terrified when we first pulled up and she realized where she would be staying. I'm sure she was remembering the trauma she had experienced with the previous owner. But after picking her up from that week-long stay, I couldn't have been happier. It took Kathleen and Graham a few days to get her to let down her guard and relax, but she finally did so. And she showed no signs of stress when it was time for her to come home. After such a positive experience, I chose to use Puppy Love again for a two night stay, with the same results. This time my little lady acclimated even faster and enjoyed herself even more. If you had previously used Puppy Love prior to Kathleen and Graham's becoming the new owners and are afraid to give it another try, either because of a bad experience or reading some of the horrible reviews posted during that period of time, I would suggest putting those fears aside and giving the new owners a try. Going forward this will be the only daycare or long-term boarding facility I will use for my little old lady.

Cheryl is amazing; her prices are amazing. Your search is over, you've found the perfect place to…read moreboard your cat. Quick tip: Even though Cheryl provides blankets, beds etc., it's always a good idea to leave something familiar for your cat to make the transition easier. Ideally it should smell like you. I needed to board my cat, Honeybucket, for a week and was dreading taking her to the vet or worse, Petsmart, where she'd spend the entire time cowering in a tiny, exposed, and impersonal cage handled by who knows how many people. I am particularly sensitive to what goes on at "luxury" pet hotels - they hire teenagers at minimum wage with little experience. Sure these kids may have grown up with a pet, but come on, we all know that mom was really the one who took care of Fido or Mittens. A quick google search introduced me to Cheryl and I immediately sent her an email. She was quick to respond with pictures, brochures, forms, and a little about the bed and breakfast. I met with her prior to Honeybucket's stay and was impressed that every cat got their own private space and with how IMPECCABLE her house is kept. Talk about amazing odor control! I was completely at ease with entrusting her with my cat. I really liked the fact that she requires proof of vaccinations. She will take care of your cat EXACTLY per your specifications and with lots of love - the perfect balance of professionalism and compassion. During the week, Cheryl sent me updates and pictures which is above and beyond what I expected. Honeybucket had completely settled in and was so calm that Cheryl was able to give her a nail trim without any growling or biting! I know that Honeybucket was treated well because we've been back home for a few days and she has not retaliated for being "abandoned." You absolutely cannot find a better place to board your cat. Period.

Cheryl will keep your kitties good company while you are away, and you won't have to feel guilty…read moreabout imposing on your friends (again). My spouse and I have used Cheryl several times for home visits for our two boys. We typically space the home visit days out over our vacation, since they don't really need a personal visit every day. This tends to work out well for us. Older cats or households with single cats might need more frequent visits. They get lonely! :) Cheryl comes in, spends a few minutes with the boys, scoops their litter pan, leaves food for a couple of days, checks the mail, and then locks up. We can always tell when we return that she's been there to look in on them. They're usually fussy when we've been away, but especially fussy when they've been totally left to their own devices for the week. Cheryl's prices are also very affordable. I understand that she also boarding in her own home, kitty condo style, for those that need to be away for an extended period. While we haven't ever used the home boarding service, we would most certainly feel comfortable leaving our boys with Cheryl. We'e always had the impression that she really loves animals and treats her wards as her own. For what it's worth, I rarely give five star reviews because I feel most of them are totally inflated. Cheryl's Kitty B&B is the exception. Keep Cheryl in mind if you need to go away for a few days. She's worth every penny in peace of mind and the five stars.
