only reason this place is getting a 1 star is because of Kristina. After calling John and him…read morebasically selling us on the unknown and turned to be no truths, we unfortunately gave it a shot. John said he's been training dogs his entire life (highly doubtful john) We have an English bulldog who has separation anxiety and needs a little help obedientlily...all that was spoken upon via phone. after the first day, they let my dog have NO yard time for five days, he was fed thru a solitary confinement door and was givin no attention. We got charged an extra 25 dollars for aggressive behavior because a lady decided to put her hand in his cage and got scared. Weird, you just let anyone walking thru the back, put their hands in cages? safely and nicely done John. We told them that our dog does not like men, so who gets their pant leg pulled? a A man working there. Read the room, John. All of a sudden we receive unprofessional texts while on vacation saying that our dog was not welcome back. Professional? I would say not. After how our dog was treated, the idea of bringing him back is unrealistic Upon arrival, he was the only one NOT barking and he let a woman working there go in his cage and get his things ready while she was petting him. MY oh MY that is aggressive behavior. long story short, I've never given a bad review but this one made me so mad, I had to. Take your dog somewhere else, if you truly care. Lastly, don't believe a word John says, he will sell a cow to a vegan to make the extra buck.

Our Irish Setter puppy stole our hearts from day one. We are experienced dog owners: beginning with…read morea pair of Irish setters in the 70's, Christopher and Robin, and then two golden retrievers, one at a time, Zaggy and Brady and a Charlie, a Springer Spaniel, the brains of the operation. When an ad for Setter pups appeared in the SR this past February, following our retirement, the opportunity to bring a pup back into our lives was purely irresistible. Fully aware of the exceptional needs of a rambunctious Setter and their adorably proclivity to their reciprocal owner devotion, we brought Snacks Mc Reilly home. Our daughter has relied upon Chris Gentner, the exceptionally experienced dog trainer and owner of Nine Mile Pet Lodge, and continues to trust her precious pets, Blue the St Bernard and then Rosie the white golden, for loving care. Chris has personally worked with us to train Snacks over the course of multiple visits, including pool safety training. While Snacks can be a handful, people constantly comment on how calm he is, sitting nobly to receive greetings and pats from new human friends along with encounters with other tail wagging furry critters. Chris most assuredly ensured Snacks's good manners. Our pup knows Chris cares about him. He is a trusted friend and respected guide, appreciated by us, our family, and our neighbors. For training and lodging, we recommend and commend Chris and Nine Mile Pet Lodge to you and your very own precious tail wagging furry buddy.
