I told the new vet this and after telling her the symptoms and she required a $1,500 deposit for exam and "possible lifesaving measures" and they would refund the rest upon pickup. When I got there, they did X-rays which I told the receptionist we did not want, just blood and urine tests. They ended up doing $1,800 of care which me or my boyfriend did not authorize. He authorized urine, blood, oxygen and fluids. After this experience I immediately went to Indian trail animal hospital, they looked at her, looked at the work done at Spokane Cat Clinic and listened to me, gave her antibiotics and she is perfectly healthy. If this vet actually listened to me (I never actually met her only the vet tech came out and only the vet techs / reception called me) my cat could have been feeling better faster and I would've saved over $1,000. I emailed them about this and they suggested they will discontinue us as a patient there and we would get better care elsewhere. Yeah they were right, I did that right away. Should've went to my home vet, Indian trail animal hospital, first.

This last weekend, I was very disappointed that I could not reach them when it mattered most. My sweet Sadie was diagnosed last Monday, a week ago today, with lymphoma. She was put on prednisone, which needs to be given with food. Friday, we went to the vet to get anti-nausea meds because she was having a hard time eating. By Saturday we could not get her to eat and she was miserable. We ended up in the ER vet because Prairie does not have an on-call person we could even just talk to. So, there we were in an unfamiliar place with a Dr unfamiliar to Sadie and us, having to make the most difficult decision without even the opportunity to speak with our vet. I understand vets can't be open all days, but I do believe someone should be reachable for these horrible situations that don't always occur during business hours. You either care about our fur babies or you don't. That care shouldn't stop on the weekends or only be shown when it's convenient. I'm talking about a phone call here....not an office visit. Nothing is convenient about end-of-life circumstances. So, I guess I'll settle on a "3" for the rating. Day-to-day, fantastic...weekends totally out of reach. Unacceptable in my opinion and they totally failed Sadie when she needed them most.

I almost got scammed into getting paying THOUSANDS of dollars for needless dental work for my dog! Despicable! I will be reporting this to the American Veterinarian Medical Association! I will never go to this clinic ever again! IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: I had to learn this the hard way, but NO accredited Veterinary association recommends non-anesthesia dental cleanings. Only an anesthesia cleaning can thoroughly clean a pet's mouth and detect all potential issues before they become big issues. Beware of any veterinarian who offers non-anesthesia cleanings!!

He went to daycare once a week and we used them for boarding. The services at Updawg were a game changer. He went from being alpha dog to being okay with following. The staff if amazing! They were always excited to see Percy and they worked with training and obedience. I cannot recommend them enough! When in doubt try Updawg I promise you will not be disappointed. We have recently left Spokane and will miss them greatly.

That said, after spending time at Updawg for daycare and overnight boarding, we've seen a complete turnaround in her behavior. What's incredible is that this transformation didn't come from formal training sessions--we simply boarded her while traveling. Her improvement is 100% due to the environment and care she's received at Updawg. While we'll always be mindful (she's still an animal, after all), I now have peace of mind knowing she can interact with other dogs. That's something I never thought I'd be able to say. Another huge win: nail trims. She used to need a "doggy chill pill" just to get through them, but thanks to the gentle and loving approach from the Updawg staff, sedation is no longer needed. That's a game-changer for her and for us. The genuine love and excitement the team shows every time we drop her off or pick her up makes it easy to recommend Updawg so highly.
