Not many people know about this gym that is part of the Hillsborough County Park and Recreation department. We have use this gym for our badminton club free play night for almost a year. This facilities have soccer field at the back of the building. Many activities took place at this location include children soccer team. The media room have computer for the after school care. They also have the theater performance art class. They have high impact aerobic class and low impact exercise class. The gym floor is two basketball courts two volley ball courts or four badminton courts. Our badminton club play two night a week. This building is actually our tax money to build it. The gym floor is spring board with wood flooring. They are very nice. Please check out the available classes that are ongoing now by calling the center or walk up to the main lobby for the available exercise class. Make good use of this new facilities.

I snagged the last parking spot (as others have mentioned the parking lot is small, but you can park at the school if you can't find a spot.) I only walked through the actual rec building to get to the park. I was amazed by the outside area. The benches are covered and there are a ton of cubby holes where you can store your stuff. The playground is covered too! We're in Florida, shade matters! There is also a huge grassy area in case you want to throw a ball or just let your child run around and blow off steam. Whatever floats your boat. Once my child starts walking I'm sure we will be back many times.

Then I heard about this location opening up on this date, on this date etc. I reached out to check on additional costs since originally it wasn't "included" on our member level. I believe they wanted $300 more on top of the $359 monthly. I told them they can pound sand. Then mysteriously this club was included in our membership. I was pumped to find this out. So I came here for massage today which Bailey did a great job but there are some key things missing with this club. First, no steam room in the Men's locker room? The Kids Academy? All of the kids are in one room together and it's a rather cramped room as well. I asked if there was plans to expand but there is not. I can't imagine brining a baby there because it's loud in there. I went to the Cafe and they were out of 3 types of Shakes - one I asked for before I was told they were out. Also, when I got my message, there was no Hot Tea available. I counted 12 trainers on the floor but only 2 were busy. I felt bad for them. The layout on the gym floor seemed very cramped between equipment. I'm glad they opened but some changes need to be made with this layout if possible esp with all the kids in one room.

Great set of 6 tennis courts at the University of Tampa located off north south Blvd conveniently…read morelocated in the heart of South Tampa with a great view of downtown. These courts are hard concrete green courts with lighting available and are well maintained. There are bleachers that can hold up to 50 spectators so invite all your friends to your next match! You can park in the parking garage right next to this place after 6pm without a university parking permit without any problems. There are a set of 3 courts in the front and 3 courts in the back. The courts are never too busy for us not to get a court so thats good. Sadly there is no water fountains anywhere near the courts, so make sure to bring plenty of your own water because it's been so hot out. One time I came around 830pm on a week day and the courts were locked. I'm not sure what the official hours of these courts are before they do lock them. I usually go to the public courts a block north of here but north south road is totally shut off for construction for over month now, so I just go to these courts. We will be coming back again soon! :)

Overall, a very nice public pool. I'm both a platform/springboard diver (and play some water polo)…read moreand an architectural historian, so I have a bunch of things to say here. I'm not sure when the pool was built but in the early 1970s sounds like from what I was told there, making it a full decade newer than I presumed based on the architecture. But what architecture it is! That façade--you just don't get public architecture for mundane things like parks and rec very often anymore. Despite the mid-century modern understatement, it still has something to say and I wish we'd see more of that today. People have commented on the restrooms/locker rooms. Personally, I was not bothered that the men's locker room was showing its age. It still worked fine. What surprised me was the individual shower stalls instead of a gang shower given its date of construction. And I think the whole men's locker room likely is original and without major updates beyond minor fixtures like soap dispensers. For a public facility at this time of construction to have individual stalls would have been considered a bit of luxury. The current state of the mens' locker room is no worse than many pools I've been to for diving and better than the much newer Cecil Aquatic Center in Jacksonville. The dive well: There's a 1m and a 3m board, which is nice. Both are older but in fine shape. The dive well itself is 14ft but tapers off away from the boards to around 6ft. It's safe, but trying to get a dive a good ways out I was concerned by how it looked from the 3m I'd hit bottom but didn't. It's just a visual illusion and I'm used to pools 16ft deep in their dive wells, too. The dive well is located centerline in the pool between swim lanes, which is cool. All the lifeguards and staff I spoke with were awesome and endured my nerdy questions about the history of their facility. Besides open swim, they have a great program seems of water polo, artistic swimming, and other things going on keeping the facility busy. Overall, I highly recommend!
