I love this location as I typically stop in while shopping. The store is always neat and easy to navigate. However, the attached Starbucks needs some work. My london fog was horrible. In addition, my sister's both had to had their drinks remade. They were writing names incorrectly which meant a few others didn't realize their orders were sitting on the counter for a while. I really wanted to finish it while walking through the shops but ended up tossing it out.

The foundation for Carriage Crossing. One of the few book stores in the area. This location has everything new and priced right. The Barns and Noble has a Starbucks inside. Which is a nice touch coffee and a story. Perfect Combo. They have the best spinach & cheese stuffed pretzel. But one thing I was told is the Starbucks don't take gift cards or your stars for freebies. So, anyway we will return again as usual when we are at the Mall..!

Nice book store. Comfortable atmosphere. They have place to sit and read. Collections for kids and adults. Nice and clean place.

The letter claims it wasn't in stock when it was being shipped. Fake phone number. 1/2 gift card 1/2 check

If they have something in the store you want, fine, buy it. If it isn't on the shelf, find some other way to get it. There's only a 50/50% chance you will receive it. I'm so ticked off at this store right now. It's the third time I've been unable to receive a purchase that I had to pre-pay for. If they are able to order it to the store without requiring up front payment, they will call you when they receive it and it will be waiting on the counter behind the register. If they require you to pay first, there's a slim chance you'll get your books. I read a lot of history and political books. Fiction is not my thing. While there are some history books in the store, I have found it rare to pick a book off the shelf that interests me. I find time and time again that anything I ask for will have to be ordered. Once for Christmas, I ordered 5 copies of a book. When I finally went to the store to check on them, I found that they had been sold off the shelves. I was never called. I'm glad to know that I was able to introduce 5 people to Bastiat "The Law", but if those 5 books ordered for me sold so quickly, don't you think they should be kept in stock? Ya think? Another time, after receiving no phone call, I found my order to have been mysteriously cancelled and nobody knew why. This last one really takes the cake. I wanted a book on the Essex which was a whaling ship that went under attack and was destroyed by a sperm whale. Two of the whalers (Chase and Nickerson) each wrote books of their disaster and what they had to endure in order to survive. The books inspired Melville to write Moby Dick. I ordered the true account written by first mate Owen Chase. Sounds like a book worthy to be on the shelf, right? Instead, they stock the more popular fictional Moby Dick. I would tell you more, but after 6 weeks I still don't have the book. Part of the problem was from our dear old friend, the post office. It went to my post office, was claimed to be undeliverable, and left the post office. The lady at the PO told me not to worry, that it would come back. Well, it didn't, because B&N cancelled the order without even calling me. I called B&N and they said they had sent me a gift card. I didn't get a gift card, so they sent me another. I didn't want a GC, I wanted my book. They can't send me a book, they can't order a book to the store, but they can send me a gift card. I don't want a gift card. Now I have to go to the store and order it again. I don't want to go to the store. I want them to send me my book and call me if there's a problem. I'm tired of them hassling me each trip about buying a membership. That won't help me get my books! With all the bookstores becoming a novelty of the past, I really do want to support them, but it becomes increasingly frustrating. 3/31/16 update. I got a refund on a gift card for only half the purchase price. I got a letter saying my order had been cancelled because the book was not in stock. If it wasn't in stock, how did it get to my post office? The letter gives a fake phone number that asks for an id and says feel free to call. I don't have an id number and it wasn't on the letter. I found another phone number and the lady on the phone was helpful, but it is such a crazy way of doing things. Because I paid 6.40 on a gift card and the rest in cash, they have to send 6.40 on a gift card. She promised I'd get the rest in a check, but the check takes longer. She said there are 50 in stock but has no way of knowing if they were in stock the day they mailed the letter. She said she would be happy to order the book for me and would even give me free shipping. I told her they wouldn't resend the book, because that's what I wanted in the first place. She told me they cannot resend it because it screws up their inventory, but they can refund me and order it again. Such a crazy way of doing things!! So I used the gift card and a credit card to order my book by phone. She had to charge me for shipping before she can refund my shipping. She can't simply do it for free the first time. So asinine! I didn't ask for anything free, she offered. Of course, I'm still waiting for a check. 4/9/16. I have my book. My receipt shows they did charge me for shipping after all. I still don't have a check for half my original refund. I did finally get a check for $5.61.

I won't be shopping at Barnes and Noble at this location again. The cashier was incredibly rude, both to me and the customer before me.

I enjoyed my day exploring the books, I was helped by very nice employees who seem to love working there and I would happily return. They had some really good prices on journaling materials and other books were also marked down. I didn't find what I was looking for but I did discover so much more.

We stopped by to kill some time before our movie, and I decided to grab some snacks before we leave. The cashier who took our order was not very friendly, and not surprising either given past experiences here. After waiting for a bit, our bakery items still hadn't been handed to us so I went to check. One of the baristas (I believe her name was Courtney?) didn't acknowledge me at first and curtly asked if I had already ordered. I explained that we had a movie in 10 minutes and just needed our bakery items. Instead of simply grabbing them for me, she responded with a rude attitude saying orders are processed in the order received. I would understand if I had ordered a drink but I was just waiting on cookies and a brownie, something that takes zero effort to grab. The interaction could have been handled much better and unfortunately this level of service seems to be the norm here. That being said, aside from the unfriendly baristas, this Barnes & Nobles is clean and well organized.

Stopped in for a little blast from the past nostalgia. It's been 12 years! Checked out the magazine rack.
