I visited the other day to get a bookmark and a book light (they didn't have any). With that said, I wish they would either hire someone or consult with someone that can help them modernize the store and but up-to-date books and accessories. They did not have a lot of selections. I couldn't find daily devotionals (not even Our Daily Bread) and that's a free booklet that they would normally have all the time. Then I looked for something specifically for women and they didn't have that either. I was finally able to find bookmarks, but it came in bulk. I got them anyway because I wanted to support this store that I love so much.

The store is bright, fun, and stocked to the brim, but super organized. You can find everything from stationary, pens, wrapping paper, milestone/ customized paper, cards, and gifts. They carry Kate Spade, ban.do, Christian Lacroix, and a bunch of other cool brands. I also spotted some Sugarfina near the cash wrap and couldn't resist picking up a couple of boxes. The mini golf course was very family friendly. Free for the 3 year old and only $12 for the wife and I. I'm pretty sure it was 18 holes and it was just really nice. You pay for golf at the comic book counter. I liked that they had some cheap comics for small children on a shelf down low where little kids can pick one. There are a few arcade games. Not much for the toddler ages though. There's a movie theatre room for about 15 people that you can rent for $15 an hour I think they said. Bring your own dvds and video games. There's private areas for events and there's a patio outside for those nice days at the park. I believe I saw on Facebook where they plan on growing a corn maze, but looks like they never planted it. There is no beer, but they told me they are working on that and plan to have some soon. It is also worth mentioning that there is no cell service at all in the building and no WiFi either. I forgot to try my phone outside. You'll have to leave the Internet at home. We had heard the pizza was really good but my wife and I both were underwhelmed. It was good for what it was, and it was actually better than what you would expect from a place like this, but it was not great pizza. Chicken tenders were homemade and the milkshake was great. I plan on trying the philly next. All in all, I like this place and welcome it to Fayette County. Update: after writing my initial review, I decided to take the family a second time, on a Saturday night. We very much enjoyed ourselves and the people were friendly. We had dogs and phillys. Mrs. Post is a brand new stationery and gift store in East Memphis. Before they opened Mrs. Post, owners Lindsey Cross and Natalie Ellis-Chang designed a line of wholesale paper products called Lemon Tree Paper. They've got about 400 pieces, and each one is printed locally. All of the Lemon Tree Paper invitations, cards, and notes are available at Mrs. Post. My favorite thing about the shop was the small, but well thought out collection of gifts. There's a lot of whimsy in a small space. I was totally smitten with the Jonathan Adler whale shaped salt and pepper shakers and the surprise balls (the package reads "to enjoy, please destroy"). They've also got candles, baby booties and party decorations you'll want to leave up well after the fun is over.
