Happy to support this Barnes & Nobles in my town. It's becoming harder and harder to find bookstores these days but glad we still have one in Jensen Beach. I've been here a few times and they have a decent selection and I usually can find what I need. The employees have been friendly and knowledgeable each visit and when I can't find what I'm looking for they help out. There is a Cafe inside which looks nice to sit and enjoy coffee and a book but I haven't done that here yet. The store is laid out well with room to navigate (not bunched together) easily. This store has a FABULOUS Harry Potter paraphernalia section! I nearly had to be forcibly removed from the store! LOL The sales staff here is absolutely fabulous and knowledgeable about all the products they carry. I overheard another sales associate assisting an elderly woman looking for a new book (for entertainment/pleasure reading) and was super kind and patient with her deliberating the ssuggestionsshe was able to give based on her previous likes of authors and genres. If you sign up for their emails they have 15 and 20% off coupons mailed out quite regularly. I'm so nosy sometimes! The store is kept quite clean and organize and I was able to peruse the books as well as the novelty items at my leisure. I will definitely be returning to Barnes & Noble to score some more harry potter paraphernalia as well as some of the newest release books at they are great prices. read more

Not the best or the worst Barnes and Noble I have been to. The layout like most is around the central cafe area and everything is spread about like that. With magazines being on a far wall, and children's being along the back wall. Again, run of the mill Barnes and Noble plenty of books and magazines to fill plenty of interest. They have a great bargain book section and the fiction/classics section is well laid out and very organized. That's the thing about this location is really clean and in order, plenty of other stores I have been to are a mess and it's very annoying. Aside from that staff seem friendly and kind, everything is in place and well organized. As well as the fact the store smells like coffee which is really nice (at least for me) and makes it feel warm and welcoming. read more

I have been coming to that barnes a noble for years since i was a kid NEVER HAD A PROBLEM until yesterday ! I love to read and i love books. i also work in the customer service industry/restaurant biz as a hostess, so when someone is rude to me it really pisses me off!!!! the lady at the counter yesterday could care less. My friend and i went up to the counter and my friend had questions about certain drinks ,its not as if they were busy so i didn't think there was anything wrong with the fact that my friend had some questions about the menu.When my friend asked for a coolata which i know is only served at dunkin donuts the cashier said ''were not starbucks we only work here we don't know anything about the drinks here .'' i was going to tell my friend hey wrong place but the fact that something so ignorant came out of the cashiers mouth i left it alone . Also instead of just suggesting something my friend might like when she asked the cashier about a certain type of drink the lady said '' i don't drink this stuff and i don't like it .'' So you mean to say you have never tried it or you don't like it which is it ? my friend made up her mind ordered her drink and then i ordered chia tea which then the cashier asked hot or cold i replied cold she then repeated cold back to me we ordered a sandwich and then paid .we waited for our order when we got it my tea was hot and my friend didn't like her drink so we went back to the counter it STILL was not busy at this point so it wasn't like we were hindering business or cutting in line . My friend said ''i don't like this could i have something else?''-mind you my friend had only taken one sip it wasn't like she had drank the whole thing and the cashier said ''see i told you !'' instead of saying what else can i get for you or apologizing she just made it seem as though she was totally frustrated that we had come up there again taking the drink and throwing it in the trash. i also told her can i have a cup of ice and the cashier said '' you said you wanted it hot , now you want it cold ?''i replied ''i asked for it cold'' she argued with me a few more times back and forth before finally saying ''oh well i thought you wanted it hot so you got it hot .'' so after all this goes down ,she pours my tea over ice and makes my friend another drink we sit down to our books all seems well until we hear her talking to another employee about how customers never know what the hell they want and since the cafe is only half full and everyone had already gotten there drinks and food a while ago, guess who she was talking about ? another issue that i didn't like and didn't think was professional was that some one she knew came in with a baby they handed the baby over the counter and she just sat there with the baby holding it why wouldn't you excuse yourself have the other cafe worker take over and go outside it just doesn't sit right with me . Over all i love Barnes n noble and i love the atmosphere but how rude she was and the fact that she couldn't care less ticked me off .We all have to work ,we all have to be where we don't want to be sometimes but don't take it out on me and if you don't like your job so bad quit you don't have to be there. There are other people out there that are looking for work every day and would be grateful for their job, read more

I've been coming to this location for years !! They always have what I'm looking for and the staff always greats you with a smile . At any moment when you need help they will be right there . With a Starbucks inside I'm always here for hours at a time , which typically means I'm leaving with more then I've come for ! I recommend this place to any and everyone . read more

Since this is the only book store I can find around here, I gave it three stars. But I have yet to find ONE thing I've been looking for. I end up ordering online. Very disappointed by this location. I was going to order online, had everything in my cart, but decided to stop in the brick and mortar store. I was planning to pick up the Sunshine State Younger Readers books. The list was published this morning and I wanted to get a jump on things. I looked through the stacks and of the 15 books on the list they only have 2. I asked the help desk for a specific book that I'd seen at another location 10 days ago. She said, without looking, that they don't have the book. I mentioned the other store had it last week as part of an unmarked display which I believe has become "the list". I love Barnes and Noble, especially stalking the sale section and the classics. But this particular location grinds against my gears. And it doesn't have anything to do with the regular associates that work there but instead, the cafe section. I feel like I'm watching a bad reenactment of Highschool Musical. (which compared to the movie, that's saying a lot) the people that work there are never professional and are usually flirting with each other or talking about what next bar to go to (I can only assume, maybe it was a restaurant, I was there long enough to know it was something similar) instead of actually waiting on customers. They don't even look to help, pointedly ignoring people while they wait in line. The manager (I can only believe that he is, he's always dressed a little different than the other poor unfortunate souls) has an attitude and seems like you're generally bothering him when he needs to come and help you. And while I'll keep shopping at that location because lord knows, there no other book stores in the area, but will finally make it a point never to get anything at the cafe again. read more

I went in to buy a book with a gift card I received. The place was set up nicely and I found a book I was happy to bring home. I was in a good mood until I went to check out. Kyle E. Asked me if I had a member card. I told him no. He then asked if I'd like one. Again, I said no, thank you. If he could have just stopped talking with an "okay" but no, he had to put in his snarky comment of, "Well, I guess you don't like saving money" he then asked for my email address which again I kindly replied "no thank you" with a smile. Kyle E. Then opened his rude mouth again with "Wow! I guess you really don't like saving money." To me, this was rude, embarrassing, demeaning and a totally uncalled for comment about me. He doesn't know me and I don't appreciate being harassed in front of others. I just wanted to buy a book and go home. I have learned my lesson and will from now on, buy my books with Amazon - at least they won't belittle me. The one star is for the building which was at least nice. read more

I had a small latte decaff moca last night, put a couple shakes of nutmeg in it, and after drinking it, started with a stomach ache, then cramps, felt on fire, like I would pass out, spent 30 minutes in bathroom, water diluted it, and today I told them the nutmeg must either be altered or rancid, and manager acted like she could care less. Cafe later said no one had done anything to change the nutmeg. I never had a reaction from nutmeg before. It can get moisture in the type of container they had and go bad. I am still weak and headache today. I almost had to go to ER. Very unconcerned staff, especially manager I spoke with today. read more
