I looked at the door and saw a cipher lock installed and a sign advising you had to enter the Code at the bottom of your receipt. Every genre of book was lined amongst the several high shelves. The big table side books were proudly presented at the front of the shop and the books were priced well. They had a small R Rated section to the left side with old Playboy books from $2.49 - $13.00. Also, an adult movie DVDs for sale $5.99 each or 4 for $20.00. I found the only crate of old records on the corner floor but none that were interesting. Candy, tobacco products, jewelry, magazines and even a quarter push gambling game could be found here. After browsing, I purchased more FL Lotto tickets and prayed.

The Chamber of Commerce offers events every month like Teapot Tuesday, Wine Down Wednesday, Pinball for a Purpose, and a Fall Market You can get more information about dates and times of events on their website. They also have two visitor centers, this one across the street from the beach on Atlantic Avenue and one on the first floor of the Old School Square Garage. The visitor's center is only open during the week but I had a few hours off one day and was able to stop in to get information on the Halloween events taking place in the city. The outside of the building has public restrooms and a waterfall fountain. Inside I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Jo and Randee who not only told me everything that is going on but also sent me on my way with a bag full of magazines, maps, brochures, and happenings. The Chamber of Commerce can help you find all of the wonderful events in the city and best places to eat. I am especially looking forward to the Witches Ride down Atlantic Avenue and the Parade of Costumes. If you have kids don't miss Trick or Treating on the Ave. The ladies also told me about Nature's Palette, Art Inspired by the Earth, a new glass exhibit at the Cornell Art Museum. There is always something culturally cool going on in Delray Beach and the Chamber of Commerce is just the organization to help businesses thrive, foster people meeting each other, and plug you in to the best of what the city has to offer.

She recommended this store to me and I gotta say now I'm hooked. I don't just live around the corner. It's a pretty far way away from me but the drive is always well worth it.
