i went to the tag agency a few weeks ago to request a new driver license after i'd lost the…read moreprevious license, which surprisingly still has not surfaced. i'd entered at around 2pm, and was told the next available appointment was at 4pm, if i've remembered correct, so i'd gone to lunch before the appointment, and returned about thirty minutes prior. luckily, the worker in the office at the back of the business, in charge of driver licenses, called me about 15 minutes before the tentative appointment time. she also gathered the information and took the picture efficiently, with a friendly demeanor. though i'd not asked her name, she was wearing a stylish black eskimo joe sweater with purple and teal print, and explained to me that the sweater is given to workers at the tag agency when i'd asked if she has been to the now closed eskimo joe offshoot italian restaurant, joeseppi. no pun intended with offshoot pun and osu stillwater mascot. then, while i'm not certain that the worker gave me an expected time of arrival for the driver license, she did notify me that the license would arrive via mail, rather than the expectation with which i'd entered the tag agency of receiving the license there on the same day. that said, the license arrived the most recent saturday, and while the arrival was a little later than i'd expected, the difference between expectation and result was rather harmless. service requested - new driver license, not yet expired quality - service and license quality were excellent value - $25 and tax was relatively reasonable, though prorated price depending on date of expiration for license not expired seems appropriate, though it may have been already

My tags were past due and a highway patrol pulled me over while out of town on a Saturday morning. He wrote me a ticket and called a tow truck to impound my vehicle. While sitting the the patrol car waiting for the tow truck, I called Barnes Tag Agency and was able to speak directly to the owner. I explained the predicament I was in, he said they do not accept credit cards over the phone but will gladly make an exception in this case. He was very kind and understanding, spoke of his tough times in military service, so we made the transaction over the phone and my tags were updated on the system then and there while I was in the patrol car. The officer brought it up on screen and it was now current! However the impound was still in place. The owner of Barnes Tag Agency then asked to speak with the officer to plead on my behalf for him to withdraw the impound! The officer said it was now out of his hands and would be up to the Tow truck company. When the tow arrived, the officer explained the ordeal to the driver, and the driver just said it would be easier to not start any paper work and play it out as if he never received a pick up call....So I was free to go!!! So thankful to Barnes! Also to conclude...I still had the ticket for the outdated tags to pay, about $200, so I called the courthouse in Tahlequah where the ticket was issued to see if I could pay over the phone, the receptionist was quite rude and she patched me through to some gentleman. Gave him a brief summery of the event and asked if I could pay over the phone...his reply was...I am the Judge that decides the cases, I've heard alot of stories in my lifetime...but this one I believe, don't worry about it. So no need to pay! This was just before Christmas, so was able to use this money on gifts instead. Thanks again to Barnes Tag Agency, I forgot the owner's name, but Thank You for your help! Go here first. If you need a Real ID or any other paperwork, I highly recommend this tag agency. I had a horrible experience at several others here in town (unprofessional staff, rude employees, etc.), and my experience at Barnes was perfect. They also had a radio going with some great oldies, which is always a plus (listening to the Beatles is always good). Some other locations in town require appointments and take an hour or more for Real IDs, but Barnes allows for walk-ins and my Real ID paperwork was done in 15 minutes (I spent 30 minutes waiting in line at opening because of the two patrons in front of me). The employees were wearing masks and were super friendly. One of the employees also went through the line to make sure everyone had all of the required documents so that customers wouldn't waste their time waiting in line if they didn't. I'll be going to Barnes for my paperwork from now on! read more

I specifically called before I came to make sure they were open, on a Saturday. They said come before 1 PM or 1245 if you need your ID renewed. I rushed across town and got there at 1240. To their benefit, the signs said no ID after 1245 PM. However, I got there at 12:40. Waited in line for ten minutes and was told "the lady in front of you is the last customer." No apology, no explanation, no courtesy. Worst experience at a tag agency ever. False and misleading signage. Some people can only get to the tag agency on the weekend. Did exactly as told by employee over phone and per existing signage and still not provided service. Only gave them one star because I apparently am not allowed to give them zero. I'm not proud of how I handled it but it was frustrating to say the least. This type of conduct, if coupled with actual damages, is legally actionable. read more

I recently relocated to Tulsa with my husband. We had to find a tag agency to get our drivers license for this state. I prayed that we would find the right agency to provide the service that was needed. I had the pleasure of meeting with a wonderful young lady ("Mrs. ETTA") that was very courteous and most friendly, and very professional. Also Ms. Shannon was very nice as well. Mrs. Etta provided the service that was needed and was very patient with allowing us to go and get the documents that was needed to get my license. I haven't experienced such great business transaction, where when i left there, I had the best laugh and was satisfied with the excellent customer service.
