First time going here. Located in a shared strip mall parking lot so plenty of parking. Didn't really know what to expect and the old reviews on yelp are mixed. Friends I was meeting up with said it's just a dive bar pool hall. Walked in with low expectations and to be honest the place is a dive bar. Approx 18 pool tables with decent space and our waitress was Brandy and service was good overall. Place was busy and all tables most of the time were in use but our waitress Brandy kept our drinks coming in a timely manner. Prices are good, limited beer choices since a dive bar and prices are cheap or no more costly than other bars I've been to. Pool tables have some wear and age and the cues sticks could use replacing as some were cracked and tips worn out. But we were able to find a couple good ones. But our group had a good time and would return They also have a AMI Music jukebox so download the app ahead of time if you want to play music of your choice. I went here on a Thursday night with some friends. It was a very typical pool hall environment here. There were a lot of 8 foot tables and only one 9 foot table (the latter was $12 an hour). If you're a pool player looking for a REAL pool hall just do yourself a favor and go to Big Tyme Billiards down the street. Barney's Billiards only has one 9ft table, they felt the tables with the cheapest champions cloth available you might as well be shooting on a golf course they supply the cheapest chalk to ever exist. Restrooms are nasty and all the chairs and tables are wobbly. read more

Aside from the smoke atmosphere...grumpy bartenders...the worst pour I have ever seen...and they charged $17 for pool and played about 2 hours and spent about $80 in alcohol. Don't be fooled by the "free pool". Better off going to a bar with good atmosphere and a pocket full of quarters read more

Barney's Billiards has been around for a long time. It is worn down, dirty, and the smoke is so thick that no matter how heavy of a smoker you are, your eyes will be burning by the end of the night. BUT- with that being said- it is one if the few places in town that is 18+ and offers great deals for people in the service industry to go out after work. The bar staff changes frequently and it is either hit or miss depending on what night you visit. Binge drinking is highly promoted at this location. They have a shot wheel behind the bar and every 30 minutes a new shot goes on special. Dangerous but wonderful if you're on a mission. Designating a driver is a MUST if you're going to drink here or at it's neighboring bar, Rookies. Cops are always parked out front because fights are a normal occurrence and they like to handout DWI's like candy. Overall, Barney's is a fun place to catch up with old friends and play a couple rounds of pool, watch a UFC fight, or drink yourself stupid. read more

I love this place but I went to the bathroom and my dart game for some reason timed out after 6 minutes and the manger said "yea sorry that's never happened" and walked away. It's $2 to refill the game but I left and went to exit 73. That type of management goes nowhere and loses customers, I would have fitter the $2 to reset a new game but it seemed like she didn't care nor wanted to help. Not very manager like! read more

Jessica kicked me out because I didn't purchase a drink. I went there last night to support my girlfriend as a surprise, I walked in to sit at the bar so I wouldn't distract her from her game, the manager Jessica politely asked if I was drinking anything to which I replied no, so I asked for a glass of water, she replies if you're not buying a drink you have to buy a bottle water. I declined, she rolled her eyes with an attitude but I paid her no mind because I was too busy watching my girlfriend play. 10 mins later she comes back and says I have to leave since I didn't buy anything. I stood my ground and replied " is there a sign in here that says that I have to leave if don't purchase anything " she replies "no, but I said you have to leave so leave!" I respond saying "I'm just here to support my girlfriend", she's lost for words for a moment when she realizes that she's made a mistake but instead of apologizing she replies, "why are you lying, just get out"! My girlfriend approaches the bar, I'm explaining to her what just happened, Jessica cuts me off and tries to tell her side of the story and of course she acts as the victim. She says if I don't leave my girlfriend will have to forfeit the tournament, so as I start to walk out, she yells " you're fucking rude!" I'm thinking she's such a good actress lol. Honestly, I'm hurt and embarrassed from this experience. I've never been treated this way in any establishment. As a black man I didn't know how to feel about this, considering it's not a diverse atmosphere anyways. I will never go back to this place read more

This place is an absolute shithole. The owners do not care about their establishment and the staff is mostly inattentive. The pool sticks and tables are sub par for a place that is a "Billiard supply company". Most of the pool sticks have crappy tips and the tables have dimples all over them. They are stocked with out-dated video games that mostly don't work. Dont order the food, and don't bother complaining to them because they simply do not give a damn, and if they dont care about their customers why should I keep spending money there. It's absurd. take this place off the map. The health department and TABC should come in and shut them down. There is no way in hell I could see this place passing a health inspection, nothing has been cleaned in a long time except for the bar top and the table tops. read more

The bartender/manager working tonight is a total b***h. Absolutely horrible customer service. Young. Stupid. And cocky. Definitely should be considered a manager and needs to learn how to make drinks. Charge me to fix a drink that she messed up. And then argued when we tried to dispute it. This is not a nice place. And the drinks are already extremely overpriced for them to be made weak and wrong. Owners need to do some major re evaluating on their staff, prices and the environment. Yuck. read more

I have lived in the area since the early nineties and have watched this place go downhill completely. I don't think they have ever updated the carpets, bar, tables, cues, or computer system. Every time i leave i smell like an ash tray and my eyes burn which is crazy coming from a former smoker. Drink prices are a bit on the high side for a place that rarely has more than ten patrons at a time unless it is a weekend. I would like to see the owners put some effort into fixing the establishment keep my business. read more
