Chocolate lava cake - pass next time (tasted like prepackaged store bought)
    HsiaoCheng W.

Steak night. What's a guy supposed to do? I just couldn't sit at home and cook myself on a night like this. For $16.99 you get a steak (I think it's their ribeye because that's the only steak on their menu?) and a loaded mashed potatoes plus either a ceaser or house salad. Decided to get the Matt's Ranch which tasted like ... ranch. Everything was pretty good. I thought the shrimp and crab fondue was awesome. Chunky little bits inside. With Garlic bread cut up for dipping. We actually even dipped our steak in it. For desert we got the lava cake. That was the only food I thought was below average. The cake kinda tasted like the prepackaged cake you get at the Walmart next door. Staff was friendly but soooo slow. She checked on us only once. Needed water later. Dying. Tried waving her down but no luck. Too far away I guess as we were seated kinda where nobody else was, not by choice but the main area was completely full without any tables. Then to order desert was also so slow. But once we did she brought it out reasonably quick. Yea! When the check came I just gave her my card immediately without reading the bill to avoid another delay. However from my observation there was only 1 waitress and 1 bar tender plus maybe a couple of guys who were maybe the owner and/or manager walking around and clearing plates occasionally and talking with customers. So I'll cut them some slack since maybe someone called in sick or something. Don't know. Ambiance is typical bar scene but not in an area I'd ever expect to see a bar. They have food specials on other nights too (menu photo uploaded).

Very very good food for a sports bar. I was beyond surprised! The fried cod fish and chips were crispy and flaky as ever, delicious tarter sauce and skinny fries a little along the lines of McDonald's taste. Pretty good. Chicken burger was thick, cooked well, juicy, larger than the bun, smothered with cheese, and all the toppings were super fresh and crispy. The service was ok. Food definitely a winner. They also have games to play, pool and other games.

Decided to stop here before getting groceries at Walmart. Our server was Alie who was very friendly and made sure our drinks were never empty. The food came out fresh and hot, we really enjoyed being able to sit where we want as well

$15.99 steak night, bishhhhhh count me in. I'll be honest, probably number 7 out of my top 10 steak nights in Houston. Genuinely not bad at all. The horseradish dipping sauce was a new taste for me but I liked it. But bruuhhh... the top score goes to the shrimp Alfredo. Definitely not your average Olive Garden taste. (No shade) Perfect Al dente bite and that SAUWCEEE (jersey accent). To die for!

First time here. Initial impression of the restaurant was good. Clean, large, vibrant atmosphere. We sat near the bar to watch the game but quite frankly every seat in this spot has a great view of a tv. We ordered daiquiris to start and initially were not impressed. They taste like fruity icy smoothies. Probably won't get those next time. We were the only ones that ordered one within the 3-4 hours we were there, they didn't seem to be that popular. Long Island had too much sweet and sour or something in it, wasn't impressed. We just ordered bottle beer after that. Can't go wrong with that. Other than that we enjoyed our time. What we liked the most was how friendly the owner and manager are. They interact with their customers more than I've ever seen in other establishments. They have devoted repeat customers and that says a lot about their service. Will return!

Anyplace that you got to that wants to pat you down before you enter, should tell you right then what you are about to walk into. I knew then, I should have just turned around. And don't let any online ads fool you, there IS a cover charge to get in and if you don't have cash, they will escort you to the bar to pay your 10 bucks cover via card. But I still couldn't shake off the fact that I had to get patted down to enter. And low and behold...this place was thug paradise. So the dress code for guys are NOT enforced. And what really got my attention was there where actually really nice sexy ladies there, BUT...they where all dancing alone. There is a loud chick with a backpack on stage yelling at everyone to party and like...nobody is paying any attention to her. Somebody please sit her down. This place looks too nice for all that. A hype person is not required in any good club. You will never see nothing like that at Drinks. All you hear is her screaming over the music. Be far warned, they play nothing but HIP HOP. Period. Don't get me wrong...I do like hip hop... but every successful dance club in Houston has played mixed music. Not just hip hop. So with that.. enter a ton of thugs who refuse to asked ladies to dance but rather just stand around the dance floor. So needless to say...when I left the club, I told the bouncer, this place must be a gay club cause I don't understand why all the men where afraid to ask women to dance. I will not return here because I prefer more variety in my night spots. Sad because the place is very very nice inside, but I'm not feeling the pat me down at the door mess. That tells me right there that something is bound to happen in the club or in the parking lot afterwards.

It's a neighborhood sports bar with really, really good food and friendly service.. The spaghetti/meatballs are my fav, and the calzones are the talk of the town. Separate checks are never an issue. Nick's Place kind of reminds me of "Cheers"- where everybody knows your name. We usually plan our lunches late afternoon so that after dining, we can move to the large outdoor patio for an ice cold beer (or two). The karaoke nights are a lot of fun- and some evenings they have "Singo Bingo" featuring 70's and 80's classics. Always a good time.

Tiny bathrooms- can't get in and out without touching something. Our waitress was a few weeks in and tried her best. The fountain drinks were absolutely disgusting and needed to be recalibrated. I settled with the only bottled soft drink available to be safe, a root beer with 79 grams of sugar! The Bakers Special pizza was a greasy and sloppy mess and instantly fell apart just by looking at it. It had mondo chunks of meat that didn't pair well with the sauce. My husband recommended this place from his visit a few years ago but it clearly went downhill. It's an old dilapidated mess. Cushion chairs were 20+ years old with sticky stains and butt intentions on them. It was giving biker bar and made me very uncomfortable. I was afraid I'd get sick just being in the environment. The patrons were old, obnoxious perverts. Someone even brought their dog in there (not a service dog). I couldn't overlook it's condition and the food wasn't any better. There are definitely way better options on Westheimer. EEEEYUCK!

From the moment you walk in, the energy is contagious. Crowds gather around towering floor-to-ceiling screens while conversations, cheers, and game-day excitement fill the air. During our visit, a FIFA match between the Netherlands and Switzerland was on. We honestly could not imagine a better place to watch it. These screens are so enormous that even a casual sports fan like me found myself completely engaged. The space itself is impressive. The two-level venue is massive, with a central bar downstairs surrounded by seating and screens seemingly everywhere you look. Upstairs, accessible by either a steep staircase or the elevator (we happily chose the elevator), you'll find a smaller bar, roped-off VIP areas, and additional seating facing yet another gigantic screen. The scale of the entire operation is remarkable. After exploring both levels, we settled downstairs at the main bar to soak in the atmosphere. While my friends focused on the adult beverages, I focused on the food. The menu goes well beyond typical sports bar fare. Alongside burgers, wings, and nachos, there are brisket dishes and elevated comfort-food options. I ordered the salmon sandwich with fries, and it exceeded expectations. The salmon filet was generous, flavorful, and topped with shredded green and purple cabbage that added freshness and crunch. The fries were crispy with just the right amount of seasoning. Service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit.
