I visited here when I didn't know what to eat for dinner. This is a sports bar with a pretty large food menu and they even have daily specials. It is non-smoking, thankfully. They serve everything from apps, to soups (5 different kinds), salads, sandwiches, burgers and even larger entrees. If you want to splurge, they have 2 steaks that are around $28-30. They even make their own homemade potato chips. Some interesting dishes which you don't usually see at sports bars include: shrimp & crab fondue, jaegerschnitzle/spaetzle, and red fish fritters I originally came in for the burger, which is make your own, but after seeing they have a wing special on Mondays, I picked the wings. They're 10 bone in (or boneless) for only $10 and choose 2 sauces. I picked lemon pepper and mango habanero from among their 9 different sauces. I also added a beer on tap. They have 20 on tap currently. Wings - these were really good and meaty. You can tell they are fresh and likely even cut up back in the kitchen as they were various sizes and some were not cut quite properly. My fav was probably the mango habanero. It wasn't nearly as spicy as Wingstop, but nearly similar flavor. The lemon pepper are pretty good, just not quite as great. Service was pretty good as I was checked on several times by the bartender. Overall, this is a pretty good place to grab a casual meal, or watch some sports with your buddies. read more

This is a great sports bar with great food. I've tried the burgers the wings; they have schnitzel. I've tried the steak fingers, chicken fried steak, nachos. It's all good. They have a full bar and the white staff is friendly and attentive. You can't go wrong at Ronny G's !! read more

Stopped by Ronny G's for lunch yesterday. Compared to past visits, this visit was underwhelming. First, the place was not crowded at all. Aside from us, one person was sitting at the bar. While the bartender did come and take our order, we didn't see her again except for the delivery of the food and check. For refills, we gave up and had to walk up and ask for our own. The food was also meh this time. We ended up not feeling good stomach-wise shortly after eating, but since we had different things, not exactly sure of the exact culprit. Steak night. What's a guy supposed to do? I just couldn't sit at home and cook myself on a night like this. For $16.99 you get a steak (I think it's their ribeye because that's the only steak on their menu?) and a loaded mashed potatoes plus either a ceaser or house salad. Decided to get the Matt's Ranch which tasted like ... ranch. Everything was pretty good. I thought the shrimp and crab fondue was awesome. Chunky little bits inside. With Garlic bread cut up for dipping. We actually even dipped our steak in it. For desert we got the lava cake. That was the only food I thought was below average. The cake kinda tasted like the prepackaged cake you get at the Walmart next door. Staff was friendly but soooo slow. She checked on us only once. Needed water later. Dying. Tried waving her down but no luck. Too far away I guess as we were seated kinda where nobody else was, not by choice but the main area was completely full without any tables. Then to order desert was also so slow. But once we did she brought it out reasonably quick. Yea! When the check came I just gave her my card immediately without reading the bill to avoid another delay. However from my observation there was only 1 waitress and 1 bar tender plus maybe a couple of guys who were maybe the owner and/or manager walking around and clearing plates occasionally and talking with customers. So I'll cut them some slack since maybe someone called in sick or something. Don't know. Ambiance is typical bar scene but not in an area I'd ever expect to see a bar. Very very good food for a sports bar. I was beyond surprised! The fried cod fish and chips were crispy and flaky as ever, delicious tarter sauce and skinny fries a little along the lines of McDonald's taste. Pretty good. Chicken burger was thick, cooked well, juicy, larger than the bun, smothered with cheese, and all the toppings were super fresh and crispy. The service was ok. Food definitely a winner. Today we ate at Ronny G's sports Grill. We have been eating here for six months and almost once a week. The food is absolutely delicious, it is priced moderately. This is a restaurant that you could take an autistic person with noise issues too, and they would have a fantastic time. The restaurant has pool tables , dart games and multiple TVs. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Why this restaurant does not have a Michelin star surprises me. The restaurant is located in the strip shopping center right in front of Walmart off sawdust Road in the Woodlands, Texas. Today we had a Reuben sandwich with a very fresh garden salad with ranch dressing to die for. Then we had baskets of freshly made potato chips. If you haven't tried this restaurant, give it a try. First time here. Initial impression of the restaurant was good. Clean, large, vibrant atmosphere. We sat near the bar to watch the game but quite frankly every seat in this spot has a great view of a tv. We ordered daiquiris to start and initially were not impressed. They taste like fruity icy smoothies. Probably won't get those next time. We were the only ones that ordered one within the 3-4 hours we were there, they didn't seem to be that popular. Long Island had too much sweet and sour or something in it, wasn't impressed. We just ordered bottle beer after that. Can't go wrong with that. Other than that we enjoyed our time. What we liked the most was how friendly the owner and manager are. They interact with their customers more than I've ever seen in other establishments. Walk into this sports bar, had a fee people sitting at the bar with bartender, and one waitress taking care of one large table and a small table. Took about 15 min before I was able to get a menu I ordered a side salad to start with a side of greek dressing. It came with my meal instead of before the meal. And it had the wrong dressing. I also ordered the Mahi Mahi. Now I am not going to judge a sports bar too much on fish, but the actual fish was good. Too much mango salsa on it. I also ordered a side of veggies which was cold. 1st time here. Delicious ribeye tacos for the Tuesday special. They were very filling and tasty authentic street tacos and the charro beans were some of the tastiest I've had. I was a bit skeptical of dinning at a sports bar, the alternatives didn't compare so after liking the photos, I asked to see a menu and was already impressed with some of the unique items. Can't really comment on the food or drinks - my husband & I walked in, grabbed a small round high top in Bar & sat down. NOT ONE PERSON working there noticed us. The bartender was busy yakking it up w some cute guy & didn't ever look our way. No one came to take our order after 10 F..king minutes. We walked out - won't return! John Taffer would have had a cow w this crap service. When someone enters your restaurant bar, sits down at a table & u don't acknowledge them after a couple minutes - why would I stay or ever return! Based on a recommendation from a Facebook foodie site and since it's Octoberfest Season, I ventured out to try the Jagerschnitzel at Ronny G's Sports Grill. This was my first visit to Ronny G's, a comfy neighborhood sports bar in a strip mall, out in front of the Walmart on Sawdust in Spring. They had at least fifteen screens all tuned to sports, with county music as background noise. After a while they turned up the sound for one of the games but didn't turn down the music. Even so, we could still hold a normal conversation. We ordered a Hefeweitzen and it came served in a pint glass with a slice of lemon. I was hoping for a traditional Hefe glass. The beer was a bit on the hoppy side for a Hefe, without the full creamy smoothness you'd expect. Though the flavor of the Live Oak Hefe yeast was delicious. We ordered two Jagerschnitzels which took about 25 minutes before they were brought out. I was happy they came served with spatzle and not French Fries. They also came with a side of red cabbage. Aside from the cutlets being a bit overcooked and tough, the Jager sauce was delicious and made the dish, with nice large slices of mushrooms. 100% we will return and order again. For dessert we had the Sticky Toffee cake. It was tasty, but we could tell it had probably been reheated in the microwave and the toffee bits lacked crunch. It was served with a dollop of whipped cream, but could have been better paired with some ice cream. All in all it was a good experience and we will return. read more

There was an abundance of televisions playing every game available on a Sunday afternoon. Food tasted fresh and prices were very reasonable. Found this place through yelp (does not quite face Sawdust Road) and was pleasantly surprised. First of all by the amazing selection and excellent value of each item. Secondly the place is CLEAN, and finally the staff is friendly, we didn't feel rushed. I have only had a burger with their home made chips so far but plan to try something different the next time I go. We love to stop by on our drive from Galveston to north Texas. Not far off the freeway. Convenient parking (Walmart behind it) and it has games for our boys so we can chill while they are entertained. Monday is free pool and foozball. Think it's always free shuffleboard as well.
