Wow. Spent $30k on a face-lift and then got a 2nd from Dr. Ward because it was not aggressive enough for my satisfaction. In the meantime, I pay in advance for minor treatments, and when again, I'm looking for more aggressive and permanent results, I ask for a refund because I am going elsewhere now, and am denied. It's a $2k loss for me and another painful lesson. Sad. read more

Called to get pricing on a full face fractional CO2 service, and they said "$750 to $2500." I was surprised by this answer and asked if they could give specifics, as I've had this procedure before and have been assured that there is no difference in materials or technique based on the skin condition, and there's no reason why I can't get a more accurate estimate. They refused to provide an estimate. I'm weary of any physician who plays games with their pricing. Seems like they should've chosen another field. Edit: I just want to add that I've had severe skin problems my entire life, and behaviors like these have absolutely repelled me from physicians like these. It is, simply put, abusive. My esthetician told me she was going to do laser hair removal, but didn't tell me she was charging it for me. They also preserved me an RX, which I didn't know was a prescription, and it cost $90 when I could get it from my local pharmacy for $20. I felt bullied into paying, and they never let me use my moms credit and tell me their system won't allow it. Once my mom calls, they refund me and use my moms credit. I feel taken advantage of because I am younger than most clients, and my service ended up costing $350 for a facial and 2 products. read more

So disappointed. Katie's replacement is arrogant, aggressive, defensive and due to his conduct, they lost a client of 18 years. Maybe Dr. Barr should teach customer service and how to discuss alternatives with the client calming, and if it isn't a match, suggest going to someone else instead of having the RN state "I am the expert!" Dismissing the prior nurses work. Unprofessionalism through out. Office Manager "heard and validated" what I stated (shouldn't say those words, by the way, just listen, otherwise it's condescending). I saw Susan for an IPL. She was amazing!!! Very nice and funny. She exceeds with customer service! It's always difficult when dealing with new people, but was amazing! She did an outstanding IPL!!! We saw results immediately. Yeah sure it hurts and I know look like I have rolled my face in mud and it's dried, but that's how you know you got a really good IPL when you have lots of sun damage. Also the product recommendations Sarah has given me are all excellent. Dr. Barr is by far the best practicioner I have ever used and I would not entrust my face to anyone else. I like her conservative approach to any procedure. She is very thoughtful in her approach to any changes to the face, working to make them minimally noticable but effective at the same time. I'm a bit of a slow adopter and afraid to try new things, and she is always very patient with my questions and takes as much time to explain anything. There is no better Cosmetic Surgeon, with the Board certification(s) that Dr. Lucy Barr holds, in the whole state of Utah. I have had one surgical procedure and several in-office procedures (laser, injectables) here, always very happy with the results. Dr. Barr trains her staff, and they are excellent. There are many less experienced derm and laser centers in Utah: stay away!! You need a real board certified expert/physician. Dr. Barr is inherently careful and conservative in her approach. I wouldn't recommend anyone else. She and her staff are fantastic, and I offer this review as a former east coaster who had access to top Manhattan docs for years. read more

Dr Barr did a FANTASTIC job with my first rhinoplasty! She prepared me extremely well for what was to be expected, and man did she deliver results! However, I decided to have a revision rhinoplasty to lift the tip a little and to remove some of the bulbousness. Honestly, I can see no difference from my first surgery and now. Had I known the revision would prove to show no difference, I would not have proceeded with it.
