Dr. Larsen injected me with a permanent undereye filler. I immediately developed orange pads, lumps, and wrinkles under my eyes. When I went back for correction Dr. Larsen gave me botox that didn't help. When I asked if there were a way to correct the orange pad and lumps, he yelled that "I gave you free product and I have a horrible migraine and can't see." Now, after trying to warn other women about my experience and to prevent them from having their faces ruined, I receive this letter from his manager, Denise Voisin: "The under-eye filler is the most difficult place to do filler and some (doctors) are not willing to take the risk of bumps, swelling, and irregularities to skin." If there were risks, why didn't he tell me before? I would never have gotten injects with a high-risk factor. Who would? His manager Denise Voisin also said (direct quotes.) "We are willing to offer you a refund of $800. Please remove your posts on social media and other platforms." In addition, and, here I quote from the Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney's Office District of Utah. Beware with any cosmetic surgeries done by Dr. Larsen as there is NO follow up. My Arm is paralyzed with excessive scar tissues left behind from Liposuction. Besides big, thick scars are the aftermath of cosmetic surgery at this MedSpa. I have discovered Dr. Larsen is not a Licensed Plastic Surgeon and hence such poor, excruciating painful results for which I am going thru physical therapy for over 4 months now. read more

I've been going to this place for 4 years now up until almost a year and a half ago it was truly one of the best med spa's i have ever been to. However, Their now manager is horrible. I missed an appointment of mine due to misunderstanding and since i had a up coming trip i needed an emergency reschedule. The missed appointment was the staffs fault and so they said the manager will get back to for the reschedule. ( to be fair since things like this have never happened before i also didn't check the reminder text they usually send) When she called me my intention was to reschedule. Not once did I bring up the payment or said that i won't if its needed for the cancellation. She immediately jumped to that conclusion and did not asked me once what is my concern. She was extremely rude. She yelled. She implied that I am a liar by making up the fact that its the staffs fault and she said that I have been doing this 27 times and it shows on their record and I do it intentionally in order not to pay. I was baffled. Not only what she said was clearly untrue, but also i was their customer for 4 years who would go there for laser every month and a half, for a filler twice a year, for coolsculpting once a year and for face treatments. I've never been treated like this by anyone let alone a places manager that I have been a great customer for. It's shame. Theres better places out there. read more

I recently visited SLC Med Spa for their highly recommended CoolSculpting to treat my chest area. I am a man with fat around my chest area. Let me tell you right now DON'T DO IT!! I was told that I would need one visit. After the initial visit I was told that I should reschedule for a follow-up. I didn't do it and asked why they said one treatment would be enough?. 3 months later after my treatment my chest tissue was three times the original size. I contacted SLC Med and they took photos and a blood sample suggesting that I may have high estrogen. I informed the technician who performed the CoolSculpting that I had been Googling and found out about something called PHA and that CoolSculpting can have an adverse reaction on male patients causing a accumulation of more fat to the area treated. I was repeatedly told not to Google anything to let them take care of it. After weeks of communicating with the technician that performed the treatment it turned ugly. The technician became very indignant and unempathetic. I then asked much longer I had to for an answer as to how they were going to handle this? I was then contacted and told that the blood test and photos had been lost and that I needed to come in for a second blood test and photos. I ended up having to get liposuction elsewhere to treat the now 3 times larger area than my original visit to SLC Med Spa. Take my word for it they don't care about you they just care about getting your money. Find somewhere else. read more

I've been going to this place for the past 3 years. I dont have any injections, burns or medical problems. However, I did about 2 and a half year laser hair removal treatment( maybe around 20ish) I did not see any results. After a month im back to being super hairy exactly the way I started. I just kept going thinking I needed more treatments to see a result. I also have been doing my lip fillers here the past two years. I love the Dr and i think he is amazing at what he does. My initial visit to SLC Med Spa was a good one, everyone there was nice and welcoming etc. However... fast forward 2 1/2 weeks, my botox has set in completely and I absolutely HATE it!! Dr Larson put way too much in my face and I'm miserable. My forehead is heavy, my eyebrows are flat and drooping and I feel like it's taking everything in me to keep my eyes open. Dr Larsen has been on medical leave since March 2021, so there is no MD supervising treatments. Jackee did some eye filler that didn't look good. I have a trough between my undereye and cheek. I complained and went back in. She dissolved some of it and tried injecting it a different way and it still doesn't look good. I asked for a refund or credit and was told no. She wants me to come back in to "see what she can do", but I feel like a guinea pig. I will find a place with a board-certified dermatologist. I don't recommend going there until Dr Larsen is there to supervise treatments. read more

I was a client here over the past two years. Coming in for Botox and light filler touch ups. This was my 3rd Cosmetic Surgeon I found since moving back from Las Vegas, NV. I originally liked this Doctor. The front office vibe not so much. Very High School, Teen Click Vibe. I don't typically "bargain" shop cosmetic services, however I was flying out of town on a Monday and they could only squeeze me in on their "Saturday Botox Party" 6/10/2017. WOW, Listen closely ladies over 35. If you are looking to be treated like a teenage girl walking into a liar of Catty, Over Done little twits whose only job is to look you up and down with a very nasty scowl whilst judging you the whole time, this is The Place! What a joke! My husband came with me and face it ladies men aren't always perseptive to this type of "female" behavior. It was so bad he made comments on our waiting room experience. I know for a fact my 60 year old mother would absolutely HATE this place and type of judgment from little girls. I would equate it to the little Cardio Bunnies at the gym who snap pictures and post rude comments about ladies they deem less than. RUN! This was just the waiting room experience. Cosmetic Surgery is a luxury. I want a luxury experience with Top Shelf Customer Service. Because Saturday was a "Botox Party" we were herded, yes herded like SouthWest cheap seat folks to a room. Mind you I have been a patient here before. I was sat down and given no topical (I am a baby and WHY not make it more comfortable. It is about the WHOLE experience) The Doc rushes in with a needle in hand and heads straight to my forehead and starts poking me like I was a cadaver head! No Kidding! No formalities, like Hello Kellie, How are you?, Nothing but a grumble of something. He was so hard on his injections my husband was about ready to show him the same treatment. He finishes poking me and walks out. I am stupefied! Um, I wasn't done. The pretty, dark haired nurse (who recognizes us as past patients) as me if he did the spots I wanted? I said NO. She apologizes for the Doctor and goes to bring him back. He comes back all sorts of upset that I put him out by asking for the treatment I am paying for! Really ladies he has NO bed side manner and his hand is heavy and hard with injections. SHAME on You Doc. I am so upset, as is my husband! I didn't plan on writing a review. Rather I would not return to his establishment. However, I don't want any other women to experience a Catty, High School Mean Girl, Low quality, Poor Customer Service visit because they didn't know better. Had botox with the doctor for frown lines in forehead. I've had it before elsewhere and it worked well and lasted for months. This treatment didn't take; there was no visible difference after a week. I returned for the free touch-up they advertise. The doctor said it could take 3-4 weeks for me to notice any improvement. That's not true; when I've had this done in the past, the change was noticeable within a couple of days. After lecturing me about this and trying to upsell me to the much more expensive "filler" treatments, he finally deigned to inject more botox into the same area. This time it seemed to work for a week or so, but by the second week the lines were back as before--as if I'd had nothing done. HUGE waste of money. This place is a factory, sending faces down their assembly line, continually pushing more -- and more profitable (for them) treatments. Won't ever go back. read more
