This was an awesome event. I got tickets to the Tito's tent. It was my first time watching golf in person, I didn't know quite what to expect. It was a lot more fun than expected. The event itself was very well organized. Shuttles ran to and from Galena High School for the connivence of the guests. If you had the preferred parking at the actual event then another shuttle was available for you to use. The Tito's Tent was awesome. It was well put together, plenty of shade and some great drinks. I got the raspberry mojito, which was flavorful and not overly boozy. My friend got the makers ginger drink, both were perfect for a hot day. One thing that was fun with tent was since it was over looking the 9th hole you got a great view of the golfers. Also tvs were set up inside to watch the progress too. It was an extremely nice event. I would definitely go back to next years. read more

PGA tour spot - doesn't bring in the real big names, but gives you a nice taste Barracuda sponsors this stop on the PGA tour at the private course of Montreux on the way to Lake Tahoe. The course wraps in and around large multi million dollar houses and gorgeous thick pine timberland. There are stands with seating - only in certain areas. So you may wish to bring a light weight folding chairs or small cushion to sit on. Cool bet is to score a VIP ticket to one of the many private viewing areas that cater food, drinks, cool restrooms and fabulous views. You are allowed a pretty free reign of walking around the course to see any player or hole you wish to watch. The venue doesn't seem to packed and front row viewing is easy to get. I can't imagine how elbow to elbow the bigger stops must be. For those without VIP tickets, there were a couple of food trucks available and booths selling cocktails, beer and water. Simple parking at Galena High and a 10 minute shuttle up Mt Rose drops you right if at the 10th hole and the center of the tournament with out any effort. If you're going to The Barracuda championship PGA tournament I highly recommend upgrading to a seat at Tito's Terrace. Terrace view seating with a birds eye view of the 9th green, full service bar, upgraded snack bar with tri tip sandwiches, pulled pork and more and an awesome DJ too. Our upgraded tickets included a couple of drink tokens each at Tito's (of Tito's Handmade Vodka). Guess what they specialize in here? :). A raspberry mojito here, a little bit of a Tahoe Mule there and wa la you've got a perfect place to watch some great putts. We had VIP tickets but for those paying, The updgrade is an additional $25 and the drinks are around $10 each. Most food plate items were around $10. Very reasonable compared to recent events I have been to around the area. The Terrace was full of people but they kept it so that it was not overcrowded and lines were. It long. The drinks were tasty and the food was good. Another couple shared a nice view table with us and we left with some new friends. We've been in a record heat wave all week, basically even all summer but not today, perfect mid 80's weather. A cool cloud cover, made for a perfect day. We parked at Galena High school and paid $5 for the shuttle to the course, by far the best way to go. You won't see Tiger Woods here but you will get a chance to see the up and coming PGA pros. I saw Sergio Garcia at this same event years ago. If you love golf and not just big golf names you will love this beautiful event. read more

Great day for Golf, Tito's Drinks and BBQ at the Barracuda Championship inside the Tito's Terrace via a SCORE for complimentary VIP tickets from Yelp! The Montreux course was absolutely beautiful, beyond well-maintained and we wished we were out on the links playing a round on this gorgeous day. We lucked out that when we arrived with the clouds parting, the sun began to shine to make a for an absolutely spectacular day. Thanks to Yelp we had preferred parking, grabbed our VIP tickets, jumped on the nearest shuttle to then walk on over to watch from the luxury of Tito's Terrace Tent on the 9th hole, all the excitement of the Barracuda Championship Golf Tournament and it was AWESOME!! To say my hubby LOVES golf is an absolute understatement LOL since he plays at very least once a week and just one look at our DVR and you will see that it is overtaken with G-O-L-F My Hubby was in absolute Golf H-E-A-V-E-N when we scored these VIP tickets!! When we arrived at the tent we were handed four drink tokens with our choice of several yummilicious drink offerings and the bartenders did NOT disappoint and were AMAZING!! Choices ranged from Bloody Mary's, Raspberry Mo-Tito, Beam Palmer, Tahoe Mule to the Knob Creek Ginger - OMTASTY!! We enjoyed several other happy golf spectators and the live music from a jammin' DJ that as the golfers approached had to stop playing to be courteous to the players. At one point the golfers were LIVE on TV at the same time that they were approaching the 9th hole, now how COOL is that!! As the golfers wrapped up we were able to follow them over to the 18th hole which is where the BBQ food was and Boy 'O Boy was it deLISH and we choose to have the Tri-tip sandwich and coleslaw (again deLISH!! prices ranged from $12 - 14). Swag bags were AWESOME with some really cool shirts, hats, golf tees and water bottles - thank you Barracuda and Yelp!! The Ike & Martin concert after was soo cool under the beautiful starry night, music had everyone singing along and enjoying the evening! Have to say PERFECT day and I would definitely go again! Highly recommend a seat inside Tito's Terrace for a 9th hole beyond perfect view of all the action for the Barracuda and we look forward to next year! The scope of planning and expansive space and logistics, kudos to the event planners. As an attendee (thank you Yelp) I was very impressed. The parking at Galena made it very easy to get to and from without attempting to negotiate the limited parking at the course. Tito's Terrace offered a great ambience, an awesome view of the 9th green, and great deals on libations and eats. Ample seating from pastor couches, bar style viewing seats, and bar tables. The DJ played a family friendly mix of house style music, though it made conversation difficult between the golfing groups putting silences. The food was BBQ centric, with offerings from health conscious to smothered plates. The Cesar salad I had seemed rather anemic for $14. Drinks were very tasty and spanned the pallet, prices were normative for the scale of the even at An average of $10. The staff were amazing, friendly, personable, and helpful. The knock for one star comes out of the situation at the port a potties. The ground was so wet that the ground was soggy. Though i am sure it was innocuous, the first thought to the many people in sandals is "sewage" . The inclusion of the trailer style, more upscale restroom would have been more fitting of the venue. All in all this was a positive and wonderful experience. I made connections with people from the local area, Boston, and as far as Australia. I am very thankful to Yelp for providing the experience and pleased to have enjoyed it so very much. read more

Let me start by saying this was my first time watching golf in person, so I am not exactly sure what to expect and I don't really know what is or isn't "good golfing" What I can tell you is that my experience at the Barracuda Championship was AMAZING from beginning to end! We parked at Galena High school, where we paid a $5 fee when we entered, then walked over to the will call to pick up our tickets and shuttle passes (shuttle passes are included in $5 parking fee) **TIP: They were also accepting canned food instead of the $5, I believe they were asking for 2 cans of food or $5. After picking up our tickets, we boarded the bus and drove over to Montreaux. When we got off the bus, we walked to the right, towards the club house and found Tito's Terrace. It was a bit hard to find our way there, but there are helpful volunteers everywhere. I was fortunate enough to win free tickets to the Tito's Terrace thanks to the Yelp Elite program! Tito's Terrace was perfectly located on the 9th hole, which is also right next to the 18th hole where the patio is with a large seating area, a bar and a concession stand to get some great barbecue! Tito's Terrace was amazing and my girlfriend and I really felt like VIPs here. There was just enough places to sit and most seats had a perfect view of the green. We started sitting at a table without a great view, but people were always moving around so we didn't wait long before a perfect spot on the couch opened up. The view was gorgeous in addition to having a perfect eye on the hole, everyone was taking pictures. We loved the 2 free drink tokens given when you enter the tent. My girlfriend and I were both impressed at the quality of the bloody mary's we ordered! They had a few other drinks there as well, like the mo-tito and tito's pink lemonade. The great barbecue food was also served right there at Tito's Terrace so you really never had to leave. To top it off, they had a great DJ that everyone seemed to really enjoy. Next year, free tickets or not, we will be coming back to the Barracuda Championship and upgrading our tickets to be able to hang out at Tito's Terrace! read more

I'm kind of ashamed to admit that prior to this event I'd never been to Montreux. What an absolutely gorgeous golf course! So the day started with parking at Galena High and taking a shuttle over. The will-call was easy to find but apparently, my name was not! Luckily, despite not being on the list, they accepted my Yelp e-mail as proof that I actually belonged. We hopped on the shuttle and set off for a day of golfing adventure (aka sight seeing and drinking). First stop was the Titos Terrace ...but we went the wrong direction so first stop was a stroll along the course where we got to see golfers in their natural habitat. It was quite thrilling! When we did make it over to Tito's we were quite pleased. The bar had a great selection, including specialty cocktails, there were food options and plenty of seating. Oh and hey - there was a DJ (T Lee Walker) rocking some sweet tunes too! The DJ seemed to be dual purpose too as we realized that the music cutting out was our queue to zip it as the golf had resumed. It was a super chill day full of amazing views, drinks, and of course golf. I totally recommend hitting up this event. It's no Celebrity Golf but it's still a great time. read more

What a great day it was to watch some Golf! Will Call was super easy to find and staff was super friendly and helpful. The course was beautiful and maintained very well. Kind of expected for Montreux with the beautiful houses that are surrounding it. We immediately went to Tito's Terrace and got our four drinks. This was all complimentary thanks to Yelp Elite! Bloody Mary's, Tahoe Mule, and Mojito's were on point! Terrace view seating from Tito's was spectacular w/ the full bar service. DJ music was live! We even met some cool people who enjoyed golf and drank with us. Pretty good Saturday morning if you ask me! Also, on the menu were some food items ranging from $10-$15. We actually got the Tri-Tip sandwich since we were getting a bit hungry and it was delicious! Tender tri-tip and fresh coleslaw made it perfect. Swag bags were awesome! Sweet gear! The concert was also awesome and people were enjoying the music. Definitely a great day and an awesome event! read more
