I just started a little over a week ago. I'm enjoying the unlimited month classes here @barre3.carmelvalley the I bid on and won at my son's elementary school fundraiser. I'm so thankful I did. I used to be a daily workout person pre-children and then that along with Covid happened and my group classes and time for class disappeared. This was a friendly kick in the pants to get out and do it. I wasn't sure what to expect and heard good things about it. I'm happy to report, this has been an amazing place with awesome instructors and staff, and motivating members. Getting back to the grind has been a little easier with their app and some helpful articles and just the all encompassing flow of things. It's a mix of a mindful workout where you can challenge yourself along with breathing and recovery time. Feeling better than I have in a while! I finished 6 classes in the last 9 days . Glad to get back into shape in mind, body, and spirit. The classes are in the morning and in the afternoon M-Th and in the mornings Fr, Sa, Su. I wish there were Friday afternoon classes but maybe one day. read more

This deserves an updated review and because it is under new management. Natalie has been the new manager of Studio Barre for years! We just celebrated 9 years since their opening!! I'm excited and thrilled to be part of the Studio Barre Society. I also just received the most classes taken in a year! How crazy is that? Goes to show how much I love it here. Woot woot! I've taken my fair share of barre classes at other studios and 'Studio Barre CV' has been by far the most challenging and most rewarding. I just keep coming back. It really is the best workout to tone and lean out your bod. This isn't a walk in the park type of workout either. You will sweat. You will shake. You will quiver. You may even cry. It's a love and hate relationship and I'm always up for the challenge!! Even the guys that come find it challenging. The pain is manageable and there's always room for improvement. You just get better and stronger overtime. It's for all fitness levels and you work out at your own pace and challenge yourself both mentally and physically. The staff and members are amazing people. It's like a second home for me. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. Even with all the chaos of the pandemic, they had made modifications to classes to help us stay fit and feel safe during those crazy times. They have a useful and user-friendly app to reserve classes and purchase class packages. They also have the most affordable memberships too! There's tons of parking available at the shopping center and conveniently located off the 56 freeway. It's literally 8 minutes away from me which is a huge plus ! Overall, 5 stars !! There's nothing to complain about. It's really one of my favorite workouts and I always look forward to coming to class and seeing all the friendly faces. My workout routine used to consist of heavy weight lifting at a traditional gym until I suffered an injury. I was advised to switch my workouts to Pilates/Barre which I'm thankful I did. I've been going to this barre studio for over a year and I really enjoy it. The classes are super energetic & the instructors are top notch. They really focus on proper alignment, spinal lengthening, flexibility, strength and balance, all of which my body loves. My absolute favorite thing and what I most look forward to is the "mindful breath work" we do at the end of class. It helps to reduce stress and promote calmness. Lastly I must say Barre 3 really promote a sense of community. They host many events inside and outside of the studio which keeps people engaged & motivated. I totally fell in love with barre because of Studio Barre. The instructors here are so fun and professional. The space is clean. The class is right good for my level. I've taken a lot of fitness classes recently and I still continue to go back to Studio Barre again and again. This isn't just a fitness class that you will dread going to, it's incredibly fun, challenging in the best way, and is so addicting! Before this, I hated working out of any form, this led to my whole body feeling stiff, weak, and just general fatigue. Ever since going to barre regularly and taking classes from my favorite instructor, Eva, I've been feeling great everyday and full of energy even on my rest days. Everyone here is so nice, friendly, and genuinely wants you to have a good time while feeling your best. I've never felt not welcomed or out of place. My only complaint is the class times. The 6AM classes have been cancelled twice on me due to not having enough people. This really disrupts my whole flow of the day when I get a text at 5:15AM that the 6AM class is cancelled (can't fall back asleep, can't pick another class elsewhere at the last minute, etc.). If Studio Barre could offer classes whether there's enough people or not, this would be the best ever! There's also no late evening classes. I believe the last ones start at 6PM, so it's difficult to come everyday when you have little ones who don't go to bed until 7PM. read more

I got a Groupon for one unlimited month of classes for about $50, and it's been a great experience to try out a new barre studio! This location is right off the freeway, and there's plenty of parking in this plaza. The studio is clean, and the instructors are lovely. My favorite instructors are Jessica and Tish. The weekend classes can be a little tight, but the energy of the class is fun. Going on the weekdays is more chill. This is a great low impact yet intense workout, so if you're new to barre, I really recommend getting the Groupon. I definitely want to continue coming even after my Groupon expires. read more

I recently took my first class here with Chelsea - I've only been to barre one other time before this, and this class blew my previous experience with barre out of the water. My previous barre experience was slow-paced, and while I did feel a burn, I didn't emerge feeling stronger in any way. This barre class with Chelsea incorporated a lot of fun choreography and fast-paced, but micro moves to really engage every part of our body. My legs were literally trembling midway through the class, but these are the things we thank our instructors for later! During class, she would periodically adjust everyone's posture to make sure we were getting the maximum/optimal workout. The music soundtrack was reasonably paced for our movements. After the class, I felt rejuvenated and stronger, despite my thighs and calves feeling stretched and sore. The customer service / front-desk staff is incredibly warm and friendly. As it was our first time, she showed us around the studio and helped us to pick out our mats/weights/band/ball and to set up in front of the mirror. Do not be intimidated if it is your first time here, but be sure to arrive ~10 minutes early. The studio is nicely lit and modern-feeling, with a couple of ceiling fans to ventilate the room. As other reviewers have mentioned, be sure to come here equipped with your grippy socks. I bought mine for $17 at Nordstrom, but they offer Studio Barre-branded grippy socks for only $12 - what a steal! I look forward to coming back in the future :) read more

Friendly staff. This is a challenging workout but you can modify the exercises depending on your level. They vary the exercises and you use different props like: stretchy bands, a ball, weighted balls and sliders. You never know what props or exercises you will do but you know you will always work every muscle in this whole body workout. read more

I know people typically do not update their reviews if it is still the same rating but I feel like I need to share the love for Studio Barre CV. In my last review, I took the a class and loved it and really wanted to come back. Several classes later, I am absolutely obsessed with barre. I have taken classes with different women and everyone is different! BROOKE - Brooke is the owner and she is so nice! I have heard her classes were tough so I took her 12:15pm yesterday afternoon and she kicked my butt. She was in a boot and still managed to walk around and correct our forms. Love the dedication! Let's just say Brooke came over to me many times! I promise I am getting the hang of it! All of her movements were on beat so that was great! EVA - I took Eva's class on Monday and that was different from the other ladies. She definitely moves faster. If you are not paying close attention, you will fall behind. Her transitions are fast! My best friend really like this style because she said you "feel the burn for a bit but then it does not last too long". KAYLA - I took my first class with Kayla because Brooke had to get ready for a performance and Kayla took over after the warm up. I also took one of her "training" classes before she became and instructor. Yay! However, I have not taken a class from her since she became an instructor so I cannot really say what it is like. She is really friendly though! MARAH - Sweet Marah. I have become attached to Marah! I took two of her "training" classes before she became an instructor and loved her ever since. She is so bubbly and sweet so it made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. Her classes are fun and she makes sure you are in correct form like Brooke does. She loves to dance as she always dances when she walks around so she just gives the class a really positive and happy vibe! TISH - I took her class last week and it was great as well! When I took it, it was a full class so we did not get to experience the more personal side of form correcting and all but she did tell us funny stories during class! Honestly, everyone at this location is so friendly and not to mention stunning! You cannot go wrong with whoever you take a class with. I do not think I could go to any other studio because I am so biased now considering this was my first one and everyone was super welcoming. If you choose Studio Barre, go to the Carmel Valley one.
