As for my tree it looks hacked up and he cut many of tue branches in tue middle vs the part near the other branch it forks from. He also didn't clean any of the little branches at the bottom of the tree. I had an arborist come out and they confirmed this was a total hack job. It's going to cost me $600 to clean up the proper way. I asked for a refund but wasn't granted it. The lack of care used in the job was astounding. Don't let this man on your property.

Our understanding is that this tree must be trimmed after there is frost because of infestation concerns. We were out of town for part of the winter but we called in Jan., Feb. and March to ask why the work had not been done. We left messages - calls never returned. When I called in the spring when we returned to ask what had happened I was told they had never received our signed contract back. This was the first we had heard of a contract. WE NEVER RECEIVED ANY TYPE OF CONTRACT TO SIGN. These old trees are valuable and we know they need care. That is why we called in the first place. On my last call I spoke to Brian?. He said he would check into it and call me back. He never called. Now we must wait until next winter to have this tree cared for as it should have been last year. Initially we were pleased with the team who did the work and the job that was completed. However, shortly after they seeded for new grass, all of the weeds we had requested be remediated began to come back. They were overpowering the grass seed and the grass was therefore not able to grow. We spent a week calling AJ with no response. We finally got a call back from Carol (owner) after many days who told us we were not taking care of the lawn or following instructions and it was our fault. This was false as we had two sprinklers watering morning and night in each spot where grass seed had been put down. At this point we called AJ and left a message saying we would like to know what we should do as we were not getting grass even though we were following their instructions, and it seemed that the weeds were taking over. They did not call back, and they continued to not call back after we left them a voicemail every day for a week. When we finally did get in contact with them, Jim (the owner) was extremely rude and condescending to me. He said he was ignoring my calls because he had nothing to say to me. He also said stop being so uptight it will all work out. When Jim talked to me he told me he was personally checking our lawn regularly. When he talked to my husband he said he was sending a soil specialist to check our lawn regularly. Not sure which or if either was the truth. They then sent someone a week later to look at the yard and put peet moss down. This still did not cure the weed issue, and in fact fed the issue more, so we continued to call again. They ignored our phone calls once again and we could not get into contact with them. We finally had to take care of the lawn issues ourselves, as we had had the weeds over grow once and we were unable to combat them at that point. We did not want to get into this situation again, and since AJ would not get into contact with us we had to take matters into our own hands. I left them a message stating we would pay approximately 85% of the price since the work was never completed if they would agree we could part ways. They of course never called me back. The last straw was a week after we left them a voicemail about payment. Jim came to my home and was wandering the backyard. I then stepped out of the shower to hear him ringing the doorbell repeatedly and banging on the front door. He did this at least three times before leaving. I was scared to answer the door as his loud banging did not leave me confident that he could resolve this matter face to face without any further altercation. We have submitted full payment to them to hopefully ensure that they never let themselves on our property again. This has been the worst experience in customer service my husband or I have ever received.
