Julio's brother Modesto was out within 45 mins and we spoke about other landscaping projects I was considering. He said they'd take care of the lawn that afternoon and provide a quote on weeding/trimming. I received the quote for additional projects same day as well. Julio's not only came out for quote within 45 mins but also completed the mowing and entire weeding/trimming (very large lawn with lots of areas requiring attention) that afternoon. The Lopez Crew brought the canopies up, took all the dead limbs out, dropped and spread mulch. 2 large branches had snapped, they cut out damaged limbs and looks like never happened. There were told that I wanted them to dig about 3 feet into the entire bed to make sure the root system was gone. They left about 90% of the root system. They didn't even dig down in the worst areas. I requested then to come back, I sent them pictures . They did not return my calls. I called at least 20 times. I sent several texts with pictures. They charged me 200 for one bed! And all they did was take some leaves from the top, pull some weeds and rough up the soil to like they dugv down. This is a relatively small thing considering the job came out almost perfectly, and that is why the review is 5 stars anyways, this is not a reason to not use the company, it's advice to the company on how to improve further. I struggled to understand the main gentleman's English (and I don't speak Spanish), I always feel bad and try my best, but it was a struggle for me. There was another guy who spoke pretty clearly and was clearly bilingual who came up later, and he was easier for me to understand, less accent, spoke more clearly/loudly. I don't think anything bad should happen to the main gentleman who was spearheading the communications, I am very satisfied with basically everything, I just wanted to clarify about how I wasn't sure I was understood or that I was understanding him at times. At one point I was second-guessing if he understood what I wanted done... I did actually go outside and check to make sure they weren't cutting the entire trees down instead of doing the planned reduction due to a misunderstanding. That's a concern you can avoid customers having by improving verbal communication, and potentially adding some written communication at the front of the service (it was a pre-existing quote, the quote had multiple prices/quotes on it. It only came out at the end, and i had to supply it as the customer). There was a very small disagreement about one tree limb at the end that was still kind of overhanging the house. They decided it was healthy and didn't need to be cut, but frankly it's a branch and leaves that will distribute themselves right over my house and into my gutter. It's by far the closest remaining branch and will probably be the first limb to cause me to need to get my trees trimmed next time. By the time it came up at the end, all the equipment was packed and most of the guys were not around, so the limb was left on. I felt like I was told that they were going to do a "looks good" with me before we called it quits, but I guess this was maybe slightly miscommunicated..
