We had received a quote for some tree trimming in the fall and hadn't gotten around to it, so we contacted D Arbor this spring and they were happy to come out and take a look and reaffirm the quote. We agreed and they came out to do the work very quickly. I guess I didn't know what to expect and while watching felt they were trimming too much from one of the trees in back, so I went out and asked and he was very nice and explained what he was doing and that it would look good. So I trusted and let them finish. After they were done, they have trimmed two trees in back, one in front of our house and a small hedge on the side of the house. When we went out to take a look, we were not impressed. The tree in front was not trimmed much at all, just the few branches that had been touching our roof (which was our concern) but there were still branches touching our neighbors roof. We emailed them and they said sorry and were out the next day to cut the branches that were touching our neighbors roof. So that was great, but the tree still needs serious trimming as it's hanging down too low on all the other branches. So, that was kind of useless as that tree still needs trimming. The trees in back are very confusing as to how they were trimmed. One of them which is very large was trimmed quite high with a lot of clearance. They were right it looks nice and opened up our lawn. However they left one random branch that had been broken off and is still there all alone lower than any others. The other tree, I have no idea what they were going for. Still branches that are crossed still touching another tree, and looks completely random where they just cut branches. It looks ridiculous and our neighbors have commented on it. The hedge at the side they literally cut straight across and looks ridiculous. They also did not do a great job of cleaning up after themselves as there were branches everywhere including all over our grass and in our beds. We did try to email and ask about the tree cut so strangely in the backyard. We figured we would let the rest go and at least ask about that. The response was that all of the trees back there are not from a nursery and should be removed. Something they never mentioned at any point before. We had no idea as these trees were here when we purchased our home. All in all, they were the cheapest quote we received and maybe we got what we paid for. Still way too much to spend on something that will have to be done again. read more

We had two dead spruce trees in our back yard, one of them very large, that needed to be removed. We obtained several quotes and D'Arbor provided a significantly lower quote than all of the other vendors I contacted. He provided a detailed written quote (several of the other vendors just told me numbers) and sent over his proof of insurance along with the quote (no other vendor did this). Everything just seemed very organized and professional overall. Darius and his crew came out promptly to do the work and did an excellent job, paying attention to details we had asked them about like protecting our native garden as much as possible (he brought wheelbarrows to cover up the more sensitive plants). They took special care when moving their crane in place to avoid any damage to my neighbor's property and our own lawn. He and his crew were all very easy going and pleasant. Darius responded promptly and took the time to address all my questions during the initial estimate visit. They were not the cheapest or the most expensive of the quotes we received. The D'Arbor team was professional and quickly removed a larger dead evergreen at the edge of our property line. They respectfully responded to a 'concerned' neighbor. The tree was removed from the property and the stump was ground down. There were a number of smaller sticks left behind and I would've liked to have seen them rake the areas where the limb were dragged. Gear & Great. Lots and lots of trimming and cutting piled up over the years. A dead ornamental apple tree (seems like they are all dying in our area), a failing large silver maple, overgrown shrubs/vines/brush along the property line, overgrown red maple and lots of dead limbs. D Arbor showed up for an assessment and he actually knew what he was talking about (for a variety of bizarre reasons I have a forestry degree). And the crew was properly equipped - unusually so based on past experience (see pic) and worked fast. Great job. Impressive. And less expensive than another quote from a company whose crew showed up with only ropes and saws for our neighbor. Wish I could steer you away from that but we didn't use them. I was looking to trim a tree whose trunk was on the neighbor's property. He did not want my contractors enter his property, so the only way to do it was to use a lift. D Arbor Masters was the only arborist who was able to do the job. The owner, Dariusz, was very professional, provided a detailed estimate, was competitive on the price, showed up when promised and did the job quickly and efficiently.
