Our family has been using Larry and Barrett's Drugs Center for 50 plus years. We followed Larry from his original location, with the soda counter, to the new location on 2nd street. My mother is 85 years old and recently just got a new prescription. The doctor's office made a mistake on the dosage and prescribed it for twice a-day instead of once a-day. The pharmacist at Barrett's caught that this was an unusually high dosage and called the doctor's office to confirm. This could have been a deadly mistake, but they caught and fixed it ASAP. We will forever be in their debt. Their customer service has always been excellent and we wouldn't go anywhere other than with them. This is just another example. read more

The personal service and relationship we have is worth the drive- even for over the counter medication it takes me less time to go in and ask them than trying to find the right kids medicine at a big box store. I have used Barrett for years now. All the pharmacists are fantastic and always answer questions and make sure no meds have interactions that I'm taking. Larry is my favorite but each one is great. I originally came because they offered the lowest price on a medicine I needed for my child. I stayed because of the great service and attention to detail. If they don't have a mad you need they get it usually within 24 hours plus they offer a delivery service that is very convenient. The super fast drive through is great, too!! read more

I used this pharmacy for a couple of months for medication I need every 10 days. I had been working with the doctor to increase the dosages. It was called in for me and then the pharmacy called the nurse and told her it was too high, so she cancelled that one and made the regular dose. I did not appreciate a pharmacist playing like he's the doctor. After that, they were rude and terse each time I came in. The last straw was when they had miscounted and short me 20pills. I brought it in and showed it to her expecting that she would be resistant. To my surprise she started counting out the missing pills and gave them to me, still looking at me like she wasn't sure she believed me. She said procedure wasn't followed according to her records. So I was relieved and thankful. At that point she said "I'm only going to do this this one time" That statement really pissed me off because it was THEIR mistake not mine! I WANTED to say, "well don't make those mistakes and you won't have too. You're not doing me a FAVOR for fixing YOUR MISTAKE!" **sigh** but I didn't. I found a cheaper pharmacy and far less judgement and attitude from the staff. read more

We love this pharmacy and drive all the way to north Edmond from OKC to use it. The new crew there is so friendly and knowledgeable. It is a simple independent pharmacy. We love that it is locally owned and operated and we aren't sending money out of our area. They have bent over backwards at times to get us medication when we needed it. I don't want anyone to go thur this so I will tell you don't use this pharmacy. I did for about a year my doctor would send them my prescription and they would deliver them to me I thought this was a good deal. Then my last delivery was missing one of my meds I called them and they said they would call me back after waiting for while I called them again and found out they called my doctor and told him they delivered it and they don't make mistakes so I find out that now I'm going to have to do with out this medicine for a month. I use this pharmacy for all my prescription needs. I am a big fan of "small town" personal pharmacies. I love when you walk in the door and get a smile and the staff knows you by name. This pharmacy is extremely personable. They have always filled my prescriptions in a timely manner and attempt to work with me through any problems. I realize that retail pharmacy is difficult and most pharmacies do their best, but I always prefer to do my business with a staff who actually cares about me and my family rather than just trying to get me in and out the door as quickly as possible.
